  1. I understand what you mean hints why I already mentioned a change for the ambulance crew as being part of my next release, although it may differ slightly from this. I am waiting on more info regarding the uniforms when staffing ambulances in LA.

    I guess the part about NO DISRESPECT wasnt clear in my post? ffs people read. Because I dont care about there countries history its a sign of disrespect? No, its just not of interest to me. I dont care about US History, there does that mean I disrespected my country? No I just dont have an interest in it. If you didnt pay attention in your history class when being educated on your countries history, does that mean you disrespect your countries history? Again, no its a matter of interest. Did I insult the mod makers in some way? No.
  3. I think this mostly comes down to weather or not EMS is part of the Fire Service as it is in LA.
  4. It sounds like your referring to reskinning. This is no where close to being the same thing as a UV-Mapper. UV Mapping is making and placing a texture on to a model. I appreciate the offer but I do not need a reskinner at this moment. If things change I will keep you in mind. Thats not a problem. I am usually up all night so I am more likley to be up at the same time you are anyways
  5. Adding gates in that manners tricky. Its easy to add a gate as a turn to point at games start but this is another story, but go for it if you like. Here its 7 AM.

A small tip in that regards, say you need to replace the EMTs with the Medic w/ Case, you dont want to just search for 3 and replace with 1, but instead search for something like: (ACTION_NEWLIST, DUMMY_CALLCREW, Caller, 3, false) replace with (ACTION_NEWLIST, DUMMY_CALLCREW, Caller, 1, false) This way it doenst replace evry number 3 in the script with a number 1, only lines in regards to CALL_CREW will change.
  8. Not to sure myself tbh. Either, you can adjust the paths or you can place a VO and use one of the other terrain types besides freely accessible, but id adjust the paths to be safe because of the path crosses the VO and there not bale to access it, might cause some problems with people wondering in to traffic because if there path cross through the VO they will simply skip the section of path inside the VO and find away to get back on to the path where it picks up outside the VO.
  9. Billys got a point, but then again two 5970s will probably slaughter the 2 480s. Billy, I havent looked into the DX11 cards from Nvidia yet. Does what I say hold true in comparison to power draw and heat for there DX11 cards vs ATI DX11 cards?

  11. lol 6 injuered people a chopper? I think its related to the vehicle type. Problem is Im not 100% sure you can change the vehicle type and still fly. Well assuming you have X patients and X(not Y) stretcher teams, yes because the Large Rescue Ambulance does it with 2 People, so more should be possible, but you might end up with a personnel traffic jam at the hospital. Maybe, havent looked in to it, but you can offset there load times like you can offset spawn times for personnel in the fire scripts.
  12. Very true, we already have more cops in the game then any other group. If we had less cops, or disabled some units then its be different.
  13. No problem, my guess is you used the search and replace function and you probably altered one of the gate ids in the process.
  14. Did you install it as administrator? You should always install things as admin(right click->Run as Admin).
  15. Because most of them serve no use in freeplay. Theres no heavy forest area that warrants using the USFS Truck. No airport so no point in the Crash Tender or LAX Cops. LA isnt on the border patrol so I doubt Border Patrol is heavily prevalent in LA. And so forth.

  17. 1) How do you put Building, Vehicle and Objects that have being made from a model programm into the game [as an option to call and to put in the EM4 Editor. - You need to create a new prototype in the editor. Then link it to the v3o files. The v3o links to the models skin. 2) How do you put the skins that are made onto vehicles and Buildings? - Search UV-Mapping, and/or check the tutorials tab at the top of the page. 3) What sort of things can scriptors do? Can they edit hydrants to have a certain ammount off water before needing to fill it up, can they make differernt type of fires to be put out with either Water or foam ect.- Scripters are the back bone of making new functions like the things you mentioned. 4) What skills would i PERSONALLY need to start a mod with a team, do i need to know scripting myself ect? - You have to bring something to the table at the least. You need to be able to atleast script, or models, or uv-map, or make map textures, etc. and being able to do many of these things is even better as you dont have to rely on others. Take the LA Mod for example. Hoppah is capable of doing every single aspect of modding and has done 90%, if not more, of the LA Mod on his own. A few other have helped out, dont get me wrong, but Hoppah doesnt exactly need there help. For example MikeyPI has doen a few models for the LA Mod, Hoppah could have done these himself but may have asked Mikey to do it to ease his work load. 5) How do you make a Map on editor and design it so certain missions happen in certain places or one type of mission in free mode? [E.g. If i was making a Fire Department Simulator how would i make it so only fires appear in freemode ect] - To make the ground texture check the tutorials section. Fires only, check the tutorial section or search. I dont know exactly what you need to name certain objects to make them happen, but look at the LA Mod map in the editor for a good idea. 6) How do i put scripts into vehicles, buildings, objects and put everything into the game as a Mod? - The scripts will be written in away the the game pick up a certain keyword and then you can edit commands for a vehicle to put that command to a certain vehicle. 7) What Mod would people like to see? [Fire Department Simulator, Life off a Fire Department, A Police Department Simulator ect.]
  18. I tried that already, all be it on woods map, and had no luck. Using the same script in w00ds map in regards to the LRA and SWR. Theres some difference in the scripts just not for the LRA and SWR. I tried to change up the VOs and make sure the VOs were large enough to swallow the trucks in every direction and then some. Note: VO_LRA and VO_SWR are the constants for the parking VOs, while VO_SWR2 and VO_LRA2 are the turn to VOs. I also double checked to make sure both sets of VOs were named/defined properly, and they are correct.

  20. What mod? Theres nothing here. Youtube is likley the most popular method. I find it a bit hard to find videos with good audio quality though because of wind blowing, engine noise, bystanders,etc.

  23. Eh I read your post slightly wrong, but for the record Windows installs the driver for you automatically. Your referring to driver updates which are done by ATI,Nvidia or Intel. Microsoft does not provide driver updates.
  24. Well first you need the game, 911First Responder,Emergency 4 or Emergency 4 Deluxe. Download the mod, which is in zip format. Unzip it, and run the exe file.
