  1. Hey Shane, in the last one you had a reserve ambulance in the rear of FS1. Heres an idea to add a touch of realisim, for any reserve RAs, number them a 600(606,620,654 for example) as this is how its done irl in LA.
  2. Hey Billy(most likley), how are the PAEs called on the radio since there no longer ALS Engines?
  3. Previews of the new LASD Vic. Need to redo the drivers side and dint get the doors 100% correct, but close enough for a preview. Notes: When possible I have tried to crop text off of pics of the real life units to keep fonts accurate. However on most sources the pictures arent taken straight on so the text will have a small slant to it, but with a little photoshop work I was able to rotate the text until it was nearly 100% level. The 911 text on the rear might seem a little big, maybe not. None the less I left it a bit large to try to keep it as detailed as possible. Now this applies to the text on the lower section of the door. This text is definitely larger then it should be, but imo it looks fine. Again I did it like this to try to make the skins as detailed as possible. Speaking of details, I really wanted to place the unit number in the middle of the light bar because I found atleast one picture to confirm this. However, I didnt even attempt it because I really dont think it would be visible at all in game. Feel free to leave constructive criticism.
  4. Line 207: StrCompare(v.GetPrototypeFileName(), PROTO_CV_UMPC_BURGUNDY) == 0 || Delete the ||, the last line of PROTOs for each siren should not have a || Other then that, everything looks fine at a glance. Try that and report back.
  5. Are we talking LA Mod maps or EM4 Maps? Most mods have there own maps.
  6. Sigh...why are you posting the original script? You said you had an error on line 268, so I tried to look to see what the problem is but thats hard to do if I dont have the proper script to look at.

  8. Yes, the wuterpal(sp?) mod accomplished this about a year ago I think. They had it in game and working. To my knowledge it never actually got released. At one point they contacted Sixteen Tons, and met with Sixteen Tons, if memory serves me right, about a 4th path for EM4 to accomplish something they wanted to do in there mod. Sixteen Tons refused to do a patch and I am not sure what happened to the mod as I havent heard about it in ages. It was quite detailed to. A cop got out of the car, and automatically placed a few traffic cones across the road showing traffic to merge.

  11. Try it again. Had a similar error the other day and i tried again and it worked fine after that. Not saying that it will work in your case but try it.
  12. Here we go again, but this time it happens after it loads the image for the gated wye command. Last thing i did was play the game, quit, small script edits, and here we go again. Not that it happens about the time the mod should be fully loaded and returning to the menu. Oddly enough, it was a script error. logfile.txt
  13. @Billy, btw, nothing personnel but the license plate issue was already brought up Your right. Thanks for pointing that out. Not sure what I was thinking there lol Im not sure I would go that far. Winterberg is one of the most advanced mods out there. Will be finishing up the CHP CV skin soon, just need to work out some minor bugs related to the medical examiner. Also added a spawn point for a CHP Charger on the highway. It will spawn the charger, spawn 2 CHP officers, and then after a few seconds, it will set execute the vcmpatrolchp script/command to patrol the highway!
  14. This message board has an excellent search function. Please use this tool to look for topics and posts that might answer your question before you start a new thread on your own. The chances are high that a person had a similar question before. The advantages are a) you might get a faster answer and b) this will also avoid that the same questions are asked over and over again.
  15. Keep in mind, what your seeing is more like a section of a city. I dont see anything wrong with a BC @ FS2, just saying though.
  16. lol that reminds me...theres one maintenance guy in particular here who is really cool. So I always talk to him a bunch when he comes out to fix something. Anyways we were talking and he got a page in the early morning hours as it was his turn to be the emergence maintenance guy who is on call. So he calls the number back, and this girl says she thinks she smells natural gas. So he heads out to the apartment and as he is in the hallway walking up to the apt and he immediately smells a strong odor of garlic. Now any time they get a gas leak call they have to check it out per guidelines set by corporate. So he goes checks it out and tell her its nothing. Shes still worried, and he explains that these apts do not run any gas appliances! Still she insists that he stay. So he stays for like 20 mins, and when he tries to leave, she again insists he stay. Now come one, how brain dead must you be not to realize it cant be a gas leak if there's no gas on the property.
  17. I dont understand why people get so excited or find it fun to arrange units and take pics. Id rather read all 69 pages of the thread then looking at a bunch of units placed some where usint the editor, or the game either one.

  19. Wow..just wow. I really think its time to get outside. First your worried about brush clearance and now obsessing over plates? I planned to update he plates all along. Like I said I was being lazy. Besides how much time do you spend eye balling a cars plate in the game? My guess very little. Plus you cant even tell its NY plate unless your zoomed way in. If you use the games default zoom settings, you would never even know.
  20. Needs a few finishing touches, but the CHP CV is almost ready to role. I used NNICOs model, obviously, but combined this with the lightbar and push bumper models/skin from Hoppahs CV.
  21. Ok try this..load the editor->load the mod->hit F2->Objects->person_children(or wherever the helmet is located->Double click it. Now in the left column you should see axis aligned, and some other options. Select custom and try this. Hoppah posted a guide awhile back about adding models to people models. This is how he put helmets on his FFs I believe.
