EM4 is already better then 2012, so updating it to be as good as EM2012 would be a waste of time and effort.
-
Its seriously time for an upgrade. I doubt you meet the minimum requirements, let alone anywhere close to the recommended. Try updating your video card drivers if possible.

Yes the v3o is the model file, and the skin info is contained with in the model file.

Wrong forum. And it isnt possible to help you with out atleast some amount of details. Are you using a mod? A submod?

I may look in to something along that lines, but your right, that was one thing that bothered me about the SG Submod to, was the loss of manpower. -
LA Mod 4x4 w00ds Map v1 Submod Preview
Xplorer4x4 replied to Xplorer4x4's topic in Submods [Not released]
I don't know if I will do a captin. Just seems to defeat the purpouse of the bc. As for the police supervisor, I thought about something like this, but I am unsure at this stage. -
Lol so just point the prototype to the proper v3o

Well $153K is a new number to me. The media has been reporting $120K if memory serves me right, but the local media suck anyways. Every single say there are typos on the articles. People make typos, sure, but these are professionals paid to do things like proof read and spell check. Ranting on the local media aside, if it is now up to $153K, I am shocked. I was surprised the department gave up with out a fight. I mean they did not even attempt a fund raiser or anything. Sure, $180,000 is alot of money to raise, but consider this. There are over 10,000 residents in there district. This means at $18 for 10,000 people, this would raise the $180 needed. The thing that worries me, fire protection won't be effected much. EFD can pick up the slack and in some cases be there as quick as, if not quicker then EFD, but they are responsible for dive rescue on this side of town. They had one station just about a mile from one of the 3 boat ramps in town. It was not station 24/7 though. However the other station was more or less a few miles up the road as well. They must feel a real need to be prepared for dive rescue as they have 2 old ambulances set up to pull either a scorpion rescue boat, a trailer with 2 jet skis, and one had a small metal boat strapped to the roof. If Evansville Fire were to launch there boat at the closest ramp to there station housing there dive rescue team, at 35 MPH it would take them about 20 min to reach the other ramp from the time they launch. That's not counting prep time. If they were to drive to the ramp KTFD used, it would be exactly a 9 mile drive, so maybe 10-15 mins travel time by land. I live on the Knight Fire/Evansville Fire district lines so I saw them about once a week atleast usually.

So just re3name the prototypes appropriately and then you have the new lights on the other units.

If you are using EM4 deluxe do not load Deluxe freeplay, load the regular freeplay. In the editor, Edit->Spawn Points

I dont know, I do not pay much attention to anything that is not a US Based mod.

Andrew was actually talking to me about the project yesterday, since I dunno how often he is on, just fyi, the project is basically as is and he has no interest anymore. I think he is heading up the Sydney mod now.

Use the mod installer for the game to create an e4mof file. The compressions sucks but it quick and simple. Nothing for people to configure. Just double click, wait and a minute later you get a pop up saying the mod is installed. So far I think I have only experienced one person who could not get the mod installer working. There might have been a few people but only one sticks out in my mind. When Hoppah only let me released the changed files, I had to go through the same problem. Switched to e4mod format after he let me/everyone release submods with the all the LA mod files included, and it has been much less of a headache. Oh and I will send you my files for just w00ds map v2 later on. I started to add a few tweaks to it but nothing major. Just extra VOs at the fire stations and renamed the fire station VOs.

I will past on the mailing list, just because I still have things to work out on my project, but dont mind helping out when needed. As for the map, how long are you waiting? I tested that map out briefly the other day and I have events start for me, they just took a bit longer then normal.I think the the things in the freeplay_params file is slightly affected by variables in the map. So for example, on Hoppahs map, lets assume all spawn points are set to go off at 1.6 intervals, but on w00ds map it is 1.0 intervals. Then we adjust the traffic functions in the freeplay_params, no matter what number we put here, it would lower traffic, but it would lower traffic by different amounts on each map. Same goes for events put on the map. You also might want to consider using the mod installer to make this easy to install. I now it would increase the download size, as my submod is about 200 MB as is, the mod installer barley compresses it, and a rar of the directory cuts it down by about 100 MB. You could always do both a mod installer for n00bs and a rar/zip file for advanced users.

Yes, the department is a county volunteer department. The department covers part of Knight Township. The former trustee for Knight Township mismanaged something like $80,000 of the the township money. Some of which would go to Knight township Fire Department(KTFD) who needed $180,000 to stay open for one more year. She spent the money on thins like New Kids on the Block concert tickets, among other useless stuff. Fire protection for Knight Township will now go to Evansville Fire Department. The area of Knight Township was recently annexed and given to Evansville Police Department to handle rather then the Vanderburgh County Sheriffs office. BTW I am not a ff for Knight Township, the guy who posted the video was at one time. I just copy and pasted his description. Older music video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJbzQjAt5FI

Sure, any time. Just drop me a link in a pm and Im happy to take a look at it. Anxious actually. I have been waiting for something more stable before loading it up.

Try rounding off the sidewalks at intersections. I have never seen a sidewalks that comes to a a 90 degree angle. And remove some of the aarrows on the streets. Not every intersection on the map has got to have one.

Which one? The first or second? The second one there was a bug, a gangster near the train station, delete him and events hsould start sooner, but even then events should start sooner or latter.

This is the radio traffic signaling Knight Township Fire Department Out of Service, Jan 1, 2011. For nearly 30 years Knight stood guard, protecting the residents of Knight Township and surrounding areas. It has been an honor and privilege working with such a fine group of firefighters.

No idea. Check Hoppahs objects like the flashbang.
-
Check the announcements forum for the thread about hoppah quitting modding. He released the textures there. However just so you know, if the modder/mod team does not release the texture, you can not edit the map texture once it is in game.

Why dont you read the responses to your profile comment first of all: http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.php?/user/18682-mayorbasement/ Then you will realize it is not released in the US yet. Then check the pre-order thread in the EM2012 forum which answers all of your questions.

True, BUT notice the angle seems more third person then over view? Notice the level of detail seems much higher? Zooming that far in on EM4 reveals the flaws in models, maps, and just makes the ground texture look like sh!t imo, which is why I do not recommend the zoom hack. The only time its useful is in the editor but you have the map/cam boundires function for that in the editor.
