  1. Do you have the dds plug in? http://developer.nvidia.com/object/photosh...ds_plugins.html And have you unlocked/unpacked the files first?
  2. Well the audio end would have to be done your self. I believe all you would have to do on the text end is translate the xml files in specs and lang using an online translator like babelfish. It probabably will not be a perfect translation but enough that you could decipher enough to rewrite it in proper English or close to it atleast.
  3. Well I didnt specify the England mod did I think there is still a UK mod around here, but maybe not. I realize your not looking for perfect but its very easy to do. Just copy and paste a handful of files and you have a real ambulance. None the less I like the green and yellow checkered ambulance in the last post As for the light, load the editor, load the la mod. Hit F1. Select vehicles. Find the vehicle you want. Click it and you will see alot of options. One of which will say Edit Lights. This can be tricky though, but good luck.
  4. Your best bet is to do as I said. Its not perfect by any means, but it saves you have to script something.
  5. Why not steal an ambulance out of one of the UK mods and put in in the LA Mod rather then using the American style ambulance. Its pretty simple to do. You just need to copy the e4p files from the prototypes folder of the UK mod, to the LA Mod folder. Then copy the v3o and dds files from the uk mod to the models folder of the LA Mod. Of course you would have to load the editor and tell the games where to find the v3o files, but its a pretty simple process.
  6. Mikesphotos was online just a few days ago. He dropped in a post even http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.ph...ic=6357&hl=
  7. Indeed, I tried altering the EM4 shortcut to open the LA Mod automatically at game launch and it was quite time consuming as its quicker to launch the game and load the mod manually so i changed it back. BTW: what vehicle did you base the Tow Truck(not the roll back truck)off of? I looked in the guide and didnt see it, nor do i see it in the LA Mod for EM3 screen shot. Looks kinda like a Ford.
  8. Search. I answered this less then a week ago in the em4 modding section. Searching almost always provides faster results then waiting.
  9. ^thats not really what hes after though. My suggestion for the thread starter, this will never be scripted in the game so the second best thing is maybe edit a civilian vehicle and have it at the fire station for you to use. Vice it the needed commands, (Moveto and vcmdflashing lights are all i can think of). Change the traits of the vehicle to a fire vehicle so you can find it on the map when needed. Then when a fire happens, send the vehicle to the fire station, get the ff out, put him in the engine and your rolling to the scene.
  10. You have to rename the dds files to v3o, then unpack it, then rename it back to a dds.
  11. Hmm I have an EVGA 9800 GTX+ and the game has no issues. Frame rates are known to drop during the rain, but not by a huge margin. I am sure you have already done so....but have you made sure you have the latest drivers for your gfx card? Looks like you probably do as its only like a month old, but perhaps theres a newer one, or perhaps the newer driver is the issue.
  12. ^no one was asking for scripted parking spaces :$ I was just saying scripted parking is nicer and I am sure there will be ample parking spaces.
  13. Why would you want to delete the original missions? If you ha LA Mod and the mission patch you can just skip down the list to the LA Mod missions. Deleting the original mission would probably screw up the game(just a guess).
  14. Have you guys made any progress? I am anxious to see what you guys can do to make it useful in free play.
  15. Have you unlocked/unpacked it? Thats my first guess and if you dont know how it has been posted several times this week so it shouldnt be hard to find if you search, Hope that helps
  16. I wonder if it may be a codec issue. If i recall I had problems with that codec with EM4. Wipe out your codec pack. All you need is ffdshow. It needs to be configured to handle the video codec of EM4(i forgot what that is). My guess is if your paying attention to frame rates you know how to do such things
  17. ^scripted spots are nicer though imo But unless the police stations changes dramatically I am sure it will have a place. It has on all the other maps.
  18. Just to add onto what monkey said, i am pretty sure thats impossible. Even if it were possible that would be a whole shit load of work for hoopah and team..granted everything they do is a shit load of work, but it would be far far far above the call of duty. Its a good idea, I love the idea, but I am pretty sure it is close to impossible if not completely impossible.
  19. ^What do you mean exactly? Theres 2 dds files for the water tender: water_tender.dds and water_tender2.dds both of these are for the same truck, so you have to edit both to fully repaint the engine.
  20. Its not "hard" it just a waste of our time when you have 2 topics asking the same question and getting the same response twice. We are nice enough to help you and you waste our time. The same converter your already using. Your not following the directions. Edit the DDS file by converting it to png using DDS Converter. Paint it. Convert it back to DDS and leave it alone. You should check the tutorial section here. Long story short you need to use the editor to create a e4p file. Oh and if your changing the names of the dds files you also need to open the v3o and change a line of code in there to point to the new dds file.
  21. If you have already got reskins done you should know where files are by now BTW, are you taking pics of your screen with a camera or something? Use fraps as bama said, or take screen shots.
  22. I doubt i need to add anything to what mikey said. Mikey you do a great job of explaining in detail where problems lie. I can say this, i know on woods maps over passes can be a bit difficult to dispatch units. For example where the road dips under the highway there is a bush crash in this spot, and you have to make sure to dispatch the unit to an area of highway thats ground level. One problem with over passes is merging traffic will sometimes collide with high way traffic. I suppose if you mapped the paths to enter the center lane near ramps, then cross back over to the right lane, that might aliveate the problem to a degree. Also, when dealing with a 4 lane road, redirecting traffic can be tricky some times to depending on the congestion. Typically both lanes try to turn around at once and the they get stuck so you have to move an officer in place and redirect them again.
  23. Not quite understanding but the LA missions should be located after the games last default mission(the one which ships with the game).
