So let me get this right for the sake of 4 lane roads..when a cop redirects traffic he will only redirect one lane or the other depending on where he positioned in the road?So we can redirect the inner lane first, have the outer lane proceed a bit further, then turn around? or does that apply to this map only? They may use some local access roads but I would imagine highways are by far more common routes. Plus, here atleast, over half the state is nothing but corn fields and alot of cuntry roads, the good majority, are highways anyways. Of course soem are more traveled then others. Here though, yes state boys do traffic stops and some back up in the city but I would say out of 10 traffic stops you would see, only 1/10 are probably initiated by ISP. I believe that alot of time you see them with in city limits they are most likley going off duty and heading to or from the station.

Nice work but i would suggest moving the train and car further up. Its like the car was driving way off the road there unless there was another intersection near by and your implying the car was pushed there before finally stopping.

Engine 1 & 12 need some work, but other wise they look good. The state troopers are espically nice though.

post the log file in the EM4/911FR folder. Sounds more game related then hardware related. -
Read the tutorial about sirens in the tutorial section. The wav has to conform to a certain standard. I dont recall what the standard is, but i know it has to be in mono(single channel).

^maybe to keep clutter down in the other thread. @soulbody, probably a hoopah question. The only thing i can think of is having it check against all the vehicle types in the game(like Police sw,Police swt TFMB, FMB, and so forth.) or perhaps you could run a check based on the color code of the vehicles used on radard(red,blue,white,dark blue).

Hoopah said in the manual: The LA Mod accurately depicts units and tactics from the Los Angeles City Fire and Police Departments in general, and it has grown to include many of the numerous Federal, State, County and Local Government agencies that the LAFD and LAPD interact with on a daily basis. So i dont think its that. I think the problem is he doesnt see what they could really add to the game. Just a guess though.

ahh this kind of brings back memories. I used to work at a company that called people(like telemarketing) but we raised donations for charities. It was a good cause and all but people are gona jump all over this i bet and say great for DD, but we did a 6-8 weeks campaign for American Homless Vetrans(nearly a half a million us soldiers homeless on our streets each night by the way) and people would ask how much of each donation goes to the charity as they realized we were paid to do it. We gave 57%, and people would chew us the fuck out! Yet DD gives 10% and people will probably go all out. Btw, AHV got 57% of each donation but most of the other charities got like 10-15% usually.

I thought I would ask this here sine theres so many emergency personnel here. A friend/neighbor of mine was sent to the hospital for a "minor medical emergency" according to a cop. Heres the thing that threw me off. There were 4 freakin cop cars here. Some one was sent to the hospital just a few days earlier(fell on the stairs) and there wasnt a single cop around, but tonight for my friend there was 4 cops here then the fire department showed up since there about a mile, maybe two away, and eventually the assholes with AMR showed up. Any ideas why in the hell they sent 4 cop cars for a minor medical situation? Maybe crowd control? Its a pretty big apt complex with about 14 buildings and around 600-700 apts. Not to mention 1 felony traffic stop and 1 traffic stop/drug sting. Any ideas?

Well the audio end would have to be done your self. I believe all you would have to do on the text end is translate the xml files in specs and lang using an online translator like babelfish. It probabably will not be a perfect translation but enough that you could decipher enough to rewrite it in proper English or close to it atleast.

Well I didnt specify the England mod did I think there is still a UK mod around here, but maybe not. I realize your not looking for perfect but its very easy to do. Just copy and paste a handful of files and you have a real ambulance. None the less I like the green and yellow checkered ambulance in the last post As for the light, load the editor, load the la mod. Hit F1. Select vehicles. Find the vehicle you want. Click it and you will see alot of options. One of which will say Edit Lights. This can be tricky though, but good luck.

Your best bet is to do as I said. Its not perfect by any means, but it saves you have to script something.

Why not steal an ambulance out of one of the UK mods and put in in the LA Mod rather then using the American style ambulance. Its pretty simple to do. You just need to copy the e4p files from the prototypes folder of the UK mod, to the LA Mod folder. Then copy the v3o and dds files from the uk mod to the models folder of the LA Mod. Of course you would have to load the editor and tell the games where to find the v3o files, but its a pretty simple process.

Indeed, I tried altering the EM4 shortcut to open the LA Mod automatically at game launch and it was quite time consuming as its quicker to launch the game and load the mod manually so i changed it back. BTW: what vehicle did you base the Tow Truck(not the roll back truck)off of? I looked in the guide and didnt see it, nor do i see it in the LA Mod for EM3 screen shot. Looks kinda like a Ford.

^thats not really what hes after though. My suggestion for the thread starter, this will never be scripted in the game so the second best thing is maybe edit a civilian vehicle and have it at the fire station for you to use. Vice it the needed commands, (Moveto and vcmdflashing lights are all i can think of). Change the traits of the vehicle to a fire vehicle so you can find it on the map when needed. Then when a fire happens, send the vehicle to the fire station, get the ff out, put him in the engine and your rolling to the scene.

You have to rename the dds files to v3o, then unpack it, then rename it back to a dds.

Hmm I have an EVGA 9800 GTX+ and the game has no issues. Frame rates are known to drop during the rain, but not by a huge margin. I am sure you have already done so....but have you made sure you have the latest drivers for your gfx card? Looks like you probably do as its only like a month old, but perhaps theres a newer one, or perhaps the newer driver is the issue. -
^no one was asking for scripted parking spaces :$ I was just saying scripted parking is nicer and I am sure there will be ample parking spaces.

Why would you want to delete the original missions? If you ha LA Mod and the mission patch you can just skip down the list to the LA Mod missions. Deleting the original mission would probably screw up the game(just a guess).

Have you guys made any progress? I am anxious to see what you guys can do to make it useful in free play.
