  1. I was thinking the exact same thing but I suppose I can see where he is coming from. We have 3 hospitals. Only one(St Marys is a Level 1 trauma center I believe, while another (Deaconess Cross Point) has an ER but alot of specialty practices such as a Women's Hospital and Children's Hospital in partnership with Riley's Children Hospital. Needles to say those 2 have a much larger campus then the other 1 which is Deaconess Hospital(Deac has 2 campuses). In fact I would say the campus of the major 2(St Marys and Cross Point) is 3-4 times the size of the regular Deaconess campus.

  3. How do i choose the spawn locations for firefighters/crews. I have additional units parked outside my stations. In particular I have a brush and ems supervisor parked outside station 2. The EMS supervisor spawns at Fire Station 2 and runs to his car fine, but the FFs for the brush truck spawn at station 1 and run all the way to station 2. So how do I set the spawn location?
  4. Isnt ircds and bots(eggdrop,etc) written in C++? none the less, C++ isnt that much different the php. The only difference is it takes longer to test as you have to load the game, load the mod, and finally load the map.

  6. Do they spawn(enter the map) from the same spot? If not then I would suggest changing the tow trucks spawn point to be that of the dozer transport and you will have better luck imo.
  7. The shortcut problem is related to version of Windows Vista. I forgot which version but I think its Home Premium.
  8. Exactly which was more real to me. The only problem was you had to manually put people in an ambulance still.
  9. If you made the edits for the brush to replace the hazmat, then install the personnel stay in trucks submod using the exe installer, it will completely over write all the changes you did. I would install the submod to you desktop. This gives you access to the files rather then over writing the ones you have changed. Now you need an a text comparison app. Personally I use Araxis Merge as I havent found any good freeware apps for text comparison(there tortisedif but i dont like it). Compare them side by side to see where the differences are and then copy the parts from the submod in to your actual lafirestationstart.script. Make sure you edit lafirestation.script to or else hazmat will staff the brush after you sound the alarm following the start of the game. Chances are, when you got empty stations, you got a script error? Be sure to read these. It might sound like jibberish but with some understanding of C++ you will realize its telling you what needs to be changed, but sadly it doesnt tell you what it needs to be changed to
  10. Isnt that what I just described scripting? I still feel it is a waste of space but if you really wanted to, I would say you should remove a building (maybe around the LAPD station - its up to you, just seems like the most reasonable place to me) and replace it with a small "hospital."
  11. You can access the mission script for Deluxe 1. It should hold all the scripting needed. It just would have to be changed to suit your needs. C:\Program Files (x86)\sixteen tons entertainment\Emergency 4 Deluxe\Data\Scripts\Game\Mission\d01.script
  12. I dont see the problem with what the mod said. He didnt flame. Simply stated his opinion that he doesnt see the mod making it 5 months. Can you blame him given how many mods dont make it to release, and you team leaders are relying on others to do ALL of the work? Im not saying that I dont hope to see this released, because I do should the mod turn out good. Its just a fact, most mods never make it to release. Oh and will you please quit spamming your forum! Its really annoying when every other post is "join my forum." You made the point. Leave it alone already.
  13. I cant speak for all of Cali but in LA, the PD handles SWAT. Sheriffs might handle SWAT duties as well but I cant comment on that.

  15. It will work with them, its just not going to have the fancy lights.
  16. I always wished it functioned like the old mass cass unit from EM1 with a bunch of tables for patients in there.
  17. Have you turned the graphics settings down to low? You have a cheap on board video chip that cant handle much. Stay away from the light mods packs for example.
  18. The vehicles with spotlights like the USAR truck, do not move. You would have to move the truck if you need the lighting positioned differently. The only flood lights you can easily control are the hand held ones the engineer uses. You can rotate it by clicking the circular arrows in the control panel.
  19. I might. I need to do some minor bug fixes still. Nothing big but just adjusting the vos slightly for better accuracy when parking.

  21. These are screen shots of some customizations I have done to the LA Mod. Click for full size images. NOTE: This is a private submod at this stage! In the first screen shot here, you can see the Los Angeles Port Police Station I removed the original building and replaced it with this. LAPP officers will park there cars here rather then the LAPD station. Officers will appear to escort prisoners inside this building when returning here after an arrest.There is room for 3 cruisers to park here but I only plan on keeping one here. Next up we have the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department. There is 3 scripted parking places here as well. Just like the LAPP Station criminals can be housed here. Although I may end up moving this out to the mountain side. Last but not least, is the grand finale for now. The LAPD Station revised. Most of this is just for show. However, I did move the 3 parking spaces from out front of the station, to the backside of the station. I felt it was unrealistic to take prisoners in the front. Instead the three parking spaces are up against the building where you see the charger, slick top and crown vic. Units will escort prisoners in the door between the slick top and cv. Were not done yet though. Now you also notice the 2 SWAT Heavy Rescue Trucks. One of these is actually a bomb squad truck. I just need to do some minor repainting to tell them apart. None the less, there also scripted to park here. Lastly, while not pictured here, the SWAT Bear and Bear Cat trucks are scripted to park in the empty spots between the off white cv, and the garage door. Thats all for now, but I do have a few more changes in store for the fire stations, as well as some other places. Enjoy!
  22. If this has room for 4 cops rather then 2 cops and 2 criminals, the chase command is not going to work correctly till hoppah fixes it for the unmarked cv.
  23. It would be possible to some extent. If you set up a second hospital on the map, it would be easy enough to script the BLS to go to the Hospital and have the ALS go to the trauma center, but personally I think it would be a waste of space.
