Got to say it was pretty well made, I mean really, a emergency game to $h*t Simulator. Definatly something the developers never thought would happen to their game

Not saying I could do any better but, maybe ( constructive criticism) it would be worth editing models that are previously made by others. You know, edit them to be futuristic or something. Help build of your modeling skills and such, I give you credit for trying but I won't lie or be sarcastic when I say it needs work. There are many lightbars people have made and posted on here, working with those may help. I see before you mentioned it was your first time skinning etc, just my personal opinion that it may have helped to wait until you improved and advanced your skills before declaring a mod. Good idea, just needs lots of work and learning.

Going to be honest what you said was confusing, there is a difference between editing and changing a multiplayer map. If you wish to simply edit the current default multiplayer map than all you have to do is go into the editor and open up the multiplayer map, make your edits etc, save them, and give it to your friends. If you wish to switch the multiplayer map entirely you basicly follow the step provided by raf. The firehouses and script he mentions is if you decide to switch the multiplayer map of the LA mod with the singleplayer map.

Go to your settings and turn the shadows off and that should fix it

Again Chris, I keep seeing you posting this problem of yours all over the place. This problem is nothing new here. If you take the time you spending typing all these posts and read the first page of this link, this is for anyone who has the game and has the problem where its says mod installer was not properly installed, you will have the fix to the problem. Seriously just read it already, cause I don't understand the point in posting if you do not look at the replies. I mean if your looking for gaming laptops it is not really cheapest thing, it cost more for a laptop to be equal or better than game performance on a desktop. That being said, if you are still getting a laptop one of the key factors for gaming in it is the graphics card. Unlike desktops where you can install new graphics card or power supplies, laptops usually can't be upgraded. I would tend to shy away from any laptop with Intel graphics, but that is a personal opinion. The amount of Ram also is a thing to consider. For a laptop four is usually the minimum and six would be preferable, helps run games or multiple thing at one time faster. Lastly on my list of things to look for is also the motherboard. I am only up to date on the Intel series, which I would say try to get at least a i5 or higher, but there are others besides Intel which I do not have much knowledge on. So where does this all lead to, I would buy a desktop. A little factor to consider is what games do you want to play and at what quality? Games like Battlefield 3 or Skyrim or GTA 4 are defiantly going to require more power than Minecraft would. But if you are dead set on getting a laptop, try and buy during a sale or something so you can get more for less, cause you can't upgrade them so you want to pick something that can run current and future games, think of keeping it for at least three years. After quickly looking over the link I would personally, my opinion at least, keep looking and wait for the next big sales events, really should have checked around Black Friday. A easy way to get information on the parts you don't know is to Google it "amd radeontm hd 6310 good for gaming." It's not 100% accurate etc, but it gives you some views and thoughts on it. As for the PC you linked, I don't like the fact that it has only 3GB of RAM. Out of that 3, the windows itself takes some of it so it's not even a full 3gb when you are using it. I used to have a Toshiba laptop, I would just stay way from them, or at least that one. I'm not saying DELL is the answer either, but I really would do some more looking. Last bit of advice is really do research, or as much as you can before you buy. You are the consumer, make sure you know what you are buying cause people at a best buy or other places goal is to sell. Be a informed buyer and good luck.

Basically starting this thread for anyone to comment on what they would like to see in Emergency 5. We all know this one "We want modding!!" But what else would you like them to include? If you could tell Ralph Stock and Michael Mick Stigler personally what you would want in the game, what would it be? Bigger maps, enhanced modding tools maybe? I want in editor mapping tools, like company of heroes if anyone has used the world editor in that game. The ability to add textures and map from inside the editor instead of Photoshop. I would also like to see maps that are bigger and have many building that allow entry. My ideas are nothing new but share what you wish would be included in the new game.

Actually, Midnight Club the first one was also mad by Angel Studios and Rockstar. I think after that is when the became Rockstar San Diego.

Probably both. They said new units but they also said that, although they do not partake actively in Emergency 4 forums, they have seen the mods and they have seen ideas that they never even thought about. So I would think it is safe to say that some ideas that were made in mods ( limited water, patrolling all those other new commands) might be incorporated or have at least given them ideas for Emergency 5.

I personally think Iran knows better than to use them. Lets say they ever got one off, that would be the end of their country and I think they know it. Each country is concerned with self preservation and I think they know that the retaliation would wipe them off the map. The the dangerous part is the nuclear weapon getting into the hands of some extremist group. That is something to be very concerned about.

Not sure if this will help, but during those riots they sometime throw Molotov. Not sure if they helps.

Well LA mod 2.1 should have an installer for it. As for other submods etc, after you extract from the rar, you need to find your game directory. Either wizardworks/911 firstresponders or sixteen tons entertainment/Emergency 4. Then in there you will see a folder called mods and in there should be your LA mod. Then follow the directions the the submods give you. Most likely you will take the folders inside the submod and copy/overwrite the LA mod folders. They should have directions. Hope this helped a bit.

Ok first off, I had a few more planned but my editor crashed and I did not feel like trying to recreate the entire scene. The ESU members start first aid as the sergeant from the 8th Precinct directs other officer to head down the alley way and search the buildings. --I had more but like I said the editor crashed so, the officer survives and the suspect is later caught hiding in a relatives apartment.

yea I know that but those units really don't do much in the mod unless you actually role play it and try to be realistic on fire calls etc. Like there really is no difference in the mod between a division and battalion chief, but its always fun to respond to calls with the proper units. That's what make this mod extremely different from all others.
