Its on the map... but un-readable. I technically found it in the editor, but with the LA Mod located. I discovered this while adding a police man in a on a 'patrol path,' walking inside the building. I looked a little closer, and BAM! there it was...

I don't get how it is a synonym of directional bar however. Thats what I got too, and it makes sense:

I almost asked if you meant the West/West Delevan fire or the 5 alarm on Niagara, then I realised you live in Erie, and you were in class.. the West Fire was at night. Duh lol so you listened to 1130 Niagara too?

Christ, compared to you, I've seen thousands. I've seen 12 or so residential fires, 6 commercial buildings, an abandoned railroad deisel shop (more than 10 times), 4 or 5 car fires, and countless brush fires and 'possible' building fires. Plus, I watched a 5 alarm fire in Buffalo (across the river) from my city for 3 1/2 hours. And I watched aerials (that was all I could see) in Buffalo suround a house fire that ended up injuring 5 BFD Fire Fighters. Listening with the scanner, it was the first and ONLY (thank God) fire I've ever heard a mayday transmitted at. That gave me goose bumps..

Well, my morning began listening to: FE Pump 4, Pump 6, Rescue 4, Rescue 6, Tower 4, 2969 Shawnee Trail, Between Barker and Oakhill, Garage Fire. Companies made a quick knock-down, and P4 and TW4 stayed on scene to mop up. Before the knock-down: FE Rescue 3, 727 Albany Street, Border City Co-op (7 storie appt. bldg.), between Jasmine Court and the Dead-end, 80 y/o female, involved in a fall. about 7 minutes later: FE Pump 3, Pump 1, Rescue 1, Heavy Rescue 2, Ladder 1, 909 Canada Drive, between Antionette, and Concession Road, Reported Structure Fire They're still on scene for that one. Heavy Rescue 2 went as Rescue 3 was around the corner for the medical. They freed up and went to the fire, but they kept Heavy Rescue 2 goin. I'm glad they did, we're apparently having manpower issues

Thanks Guys! I edited the Ambulances to be mor realistic, but I've gotta try to recover the mod. *Crosses Fingers* WHEN I get it back, I'll show the NEW Ambulance Skins, and the NEW Coroner Van Skins

I think it MAY have something the do with the LASiren.script. I edited that, and thats when it started crashing. I tried to fix it, maybe it didn't work. I'm definately re-install the mod, and start moving over my changed files. Thanks for the support fellahs! I'll keep you updated as to whether it works or not

I'm not trying to one up you, you definately have me beat, but I pulled a sly ninja move tonight. I was walking to my Grandmothers to shovel her driveway (we got about 9 inches of snow today), and I was passing a pretty hot girl texting. She wasn't watching where she was going, and when she looked up, and was startled by me. Well, she slipped in the snow, her cell went flying, and she was falling backwards onto the ground. Before she hit the ground, I dropped my shovel, cought her cell in my left hand as it flew through the air, and grabbed her with my right hand. She never even hit the ground. I handed back her cell without a word, picked up my shovel, and kept walking. As I walked away, all I could think was; "Ninja Eli saves the day again." lmfao!

Try going: Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > Add new program (left side, 2nd from top) > CD or Floppy, etc. That may work. Good luck! Cheers, Eli Edit: BTW, Welcome to the Forums Mitch!

I had one similar to your last; I was coming home from a friends house, at about 2 o'clock in the morning, and I smelled smoke in the neighbourhood half-way home. It smelled like normal wood burning, but, I also smelled plastic mixed in. Well, I ended up walking around for a few minutes, and as I came back around the block, I noticed a little bit of smoke pushing out from nuder the roof in the back corner of this house. So, I jumped on my cell phone, got the Fire Department on the line, and then, while giving the dispatcher the info (including the nearest hydrant ), I'm thinking; "Its 2a.m. They're sleeping. Oh God." So, I tell the dispatcher That there's no one out front, or out of the house, and she takes the info, and hangs up. As soon as I'm done with her, I run up onto the porch, and start thumping on the door as loud as possible. I'm hollering "FIRE!" at the top of my lungs, and I run around the house, sizing up the fire. Well, I guess my screaming and thumping woke up the guy that lived there, and he got out ok. One of the Fire Fighters told me later on that he had no working smoke detector, and that I probably saved his life. Another time, prior to that, I was sleeping, even tho it was like, noon lol, but, I was sleeping, and the Tones woke me up. There was a 'smoke detector activation with smoke from the house' at Douglas and Murray. I'm thinking (still half asleep) "Wow, thats pretty close. Wait, holy sh*t! thats a block away!" I was dressed and out the house not 30 seconds after the call, and I was on the scene before the Fire Department acknowledged the call. I did a 360 of the house, and noted some light, wispy smoke from the kitchen window. I looked in all the windows, calling out for anyone. The beds were unmade, but I didn't see anyone in them. I didn't want to risk a law suit, so I didn't go in, but, I did check as to whether the door was locked or not for the Fire Dept. They showed up, and I told the chief I didnt see anyone, and that the back door was unlocked. They went in, and it turned out the couple had left eggs on the stove. Pretty funny though, my thinking it was close, and then it dawning on me lol

Its funny; I had this problem in 1.9 and 1.8, but not in 2.0.... weird....

AHAHA D!^^ I tend to send in two cruisers right off, and a slicktop with SWAT, just in case, and I arrest the 'main dude.' Then I back my officers off a block, while the 'main dude' is bein transported lol

While I agree (somewhat) with your thinking, 'Billy', I feel leaving it the same would be slightly more effective. It would allow you to easily differentiate from the LAPD SWAT Heavy Rescue, and the LAPD Bomb Squad Rig. I'm sure in the future, the models would be made to be similar, but, in a push to get this awesome looking sub-mod out, why set back further? I'm not trying to be a pr*ck, I just think that something like that could be dealt with in future versions... I'd like to see this mod out now lol

My resolution is to be less of a d*ck. I hurt some people I really care about this past year, and I'm havin a hard time dealing with that. Therefore, any chance I get to be nice, I'm taking, to make up for my past mistakes...

So, I've got a problem. I've edited quite a bit with the LA Mod, as you may know having seen my topic, but, now, when I try to play or load the mod in the editor, it restarts my computer. Please find attached my Logfile and DxDiag files.

No bad calls YET, but, its snowed all day here, and its still goin, so, we've gotta get SOMETHIN tonight... Edit: It wasn't my town, but, St. Catherines (where all Niagara Regional Fire Departments [except Niagara Falls] are dispatched from) got an MVC on the highway. That sent Pumps 2 and 5, and Rescue 1. The tones were like a minute long. It was the first time I'd ever hear St. Catherines Tones (I found a new website ), and I guess each truck has two sets of tones, each set having two tones. Every truck has 4 friggin tones. They're longer than Fort Erie. We use a fairly simply system. Its the two Fort Erie Tones (1 second, 3 seconds), and then an 8 second station tone. Now, if 2 stations are going, its the Fort Erie Tones, then the first due station, and then the second due station. Ex: *Fort Erie* *1* would be station 1. *Fort Erie* *5* *2* Would be a call in Station 5's District, with 2 backing them up... and if its a structure fire, you're sending 5 trucks. St. Catherines sending 5 trucks would be an absolute JOKE. it'd take a minute and a half just to finish toning trucks...
