  1. Thanks Explorer, I got it done. Cant believe I didnt see that Update: Made a new version of my FCV. This updates the model to the 2009 version and will include the new rims. Areas highlighted in red point out parts of the car I have smoothed over; minor changes are the overall quality, smoothness and better curves for the windshields. Please comment and rate this! Let me know

  5. K guys, I am working on creating new peoples, but I ran into some problems: 1. I made a test Firefighter in my mod and then told it to use "firefighternorm_upgrade.v3o" as its modelfile, but the guy looks like this: (NO ANIMATIONS?) 2. When I try to copy a v3o file from the game to my mod and tell it to use THAT instead, the game crashes.

  12. It is not alpha reflections, already tried that. It only seems to get brighter when the door faces east in the editor. As if the sun were causing it. Idk what to do
  13. No, its not too big. It just seems that way, I thought the same when I first put it on. One more small problem, can anyone identify the cause of this? (It is NOT ambient enabled on the door, already checked)
  14. Lights problem is fixed and I added a Vector light bar to the FDNY version. Pictures very soon!
  15. Thanks, EMC Unit. And Jab. Im still working on it and Ill let you know when its fixed, thanks again for the tips and help. I will get it fixed, itll just take time. Meanwhile you can all expect this to be in my NY mod and coming up next... is the GMC Suburban 1999 which will serve as a FDNY Battalion Cheif Unit WITH the new lightbars, the big ones on the back? whatever you call them. I am going to start that model soon, as well as some different Seagrave fire engines for the NY mod.
  16. Yes, I do. The problem is when I go to the editor and go to the light editor and make a light, no matter what, it does not show up in the editor when I place the unit. I click lights on, game, off, and it wont work!! Here is the Bronco, BTW: [mirrors, lightbars still not done] Please help with the lights problem, it is very frustrating
  17. @Mikey, thanks, Ill take care of that and get some screens up soon. To access texture files you must go to the directory the vehicle is in, choose the DDS texture file for the car, and rename the extension to .v3o. Then go into the editor and click >modifications>unpack file>yourfile.v3o. After this is done, rename the file back to DDS. Use DDS Converter 2 to convert it to JPEG. Then edit. In the editor, the lights I put on the car dont show up no matter what I do. I have no idea what the problem is. Can anyone help me with this?
  18. Right now everything is fine except the lights. They just wont show up in the editor!!! I made a light, and no matter what I do it wont light up. Why wont it let me upload a picture? It says that the file is too big. The pic is only 321x289!.
  19. The cracks dont even show up in-game so its not a problem. Anyways it is complete (except for mirrors, which im working on right now). Ill try to get pics up soon.
  20. I dont know how to reduce the poly # in zmodeler, I do in gmax though. Anyway, here is the progress so far: Anyone know how to fix those cracks? I tried vertex welding and it didnt work.
  21. I know that, what I dont get is why it asks for the key every time I start it up. Thats the problem
  22. @ Jab I just used Gmax and got some tools called "LithUnwrap" and Tempest. @ Anyone who can help: But right now, I have a big problem. ONCE AGAIN, and I dont know why, the game has kept asking me for the CD key. Practically EVERY TIME I start it up. And till now Ive been entering it and its started up right but now, of course, just like it did before, (And keep in mind that this is the Atari version, not Direct2Drive, with which this occured before as well), It stopped accepting the key and gave me this: So I had this problem with Atari AND Direct2drive versions. Both. So basically heres how it goes: 1. It asks for the key after I first install the game. 2. It asks just about every time I start it up after that. 3. Eventually key stops working and I get error. Help? BTW the Bronco is skinned and now I have to add wheels, door, and mirrors.
  23. Well hopefully now that I have no time limit on modelling, I can create my own mod.
  24. Good news, everyone. I now can model without having to worry about my trial running out! Gmax is working fine for me, and I now have a model I want to show you all. Thanks to Mikey for all the help, couldnt have done it without you.
