  1. New media posted in the Montana Mod thread, take a look! Feedback appreciated.

  2. Thank you for all the support! I've been very busy lately. At the moment I'm not answering any questions about anything map-related. But here's the new Hazmat (signature version on the first post): Enjoy
  3. How's about a quick tease?
  4. So I want to take a post and thank everyone for the positive feedback and support It helps. I'll have more media in the coming weeks. Things are getting busy, but I'm still shooting for getting things wrapped up this summer. I'm fairly determined to get a new free play map and a new mission or two put in, but we'll see, it all depends on time constraints.
  5. Out of curiosity, what is the relevance of "MASH" in your title? Voodoo's comment is relevant. Too often we see these posts that get people excited only to wither away. I recommend combing through tutorials and teaching yourself some basic skills like skinning, 3d modelling and in-depth editor work. There are a lot of people here that are willing to help you learn (but don't expect handouts). Maybe you'll surprise us. Regardless, good luck with your project!
  6. I've had this problem before. It only happens to me once in a while, and I still haven't figured out what exactly the cause is. First of all, those boxes you're looking at are for Polygons and Objects - the one with the dots moves the selection mode to Polygons for the selected Object, and the one without dots selects different Objects, such as the whole fire engine. Try making sure that when you move from one set of polygons to another to UV map, use Select > None and click a few times to make sure all the old ones are deselected. It looks like when you selected the polygons for the hose bed of the truck, the ones from the right side of the truck were still selected and so those got re-mapped as well. If that doesn't work, then the one thing that I know will work temporarily (but is time consuming) is to save, exit, and restart each time you finish mapping a certain part. That makes absolutely sure that no other parts of the engine could be selected, since you've essentially reset the program. Usually the first fix works for me but if it doesn't then you can use the second one until you can figure out what exactly the problem is. Good luck
  7. Start by looking through tutorials and teaching yourself how to retexture models and mess around in the editor. Best of luck to you.
  8. Thanks everyone for the positive feedback! It's greatly appreciated and I hope to show you new content soon as the mod progresses. To answer your questions: the model was created (both cab and box) in Gmax by myself over the course of the last few days. The lightbar and wheels are also custom.
  9. It's not a siren. I'm almost sure it's an A/C unit. Thanks goog! Always good to hear from you. Sweet tactical Suburban in your sig
  10. New media posted in the Montana Mod thread, check it out!

  11. It's possible, but not a priority. I agree that it would look nice in the mod, but it's a matter of creating a new model and I would have to find time for it. Speaking of new models, I present the GMC Topkick/C4500 ambulance: And a little extra - Boston version: A signature version has also been added to the first post. Feedback appreciated
  12. Important: the Montana Mod thread has been moved from Submods (not released) to Mods.

  13. Sure thing! It still needs some adjustments but for the most part it's functional. Just shoot me a PM.
  14. Alabama. From what I understand only designated emergency vehicles are allowed to run colored lights. You can try to get designated from either the State Trooper's office or the local municipal police chief. This is very hard/rare to get because they assume responsibility for the vehicle when giving such a designation. Law enforcement may look the other way if you choose to run colored lights as a VFF, but they can legally bust you with a ticket and if you get in an accident from something like speeding or running a light then you're in trouble. I'm getting my info from personal knowledge and some quick research so if you want to use concrete information you may just want to double-check me first.
  15. New screenshots and signature versions of those screenshots posted in the Montana Mod thread, check them out!

  16. Two new screenshots (signature versions of each have been added to the first post for you to use): 1. Chevy Suburban Battalion Commander (model from Manhattan Mod - thanks to Dyson/creator) with edits (fixed skin, still needs some improvements) and new Code3 21TR lightbar made by myself: 2. Montana State Police - Oshkosh Tactical Protector Vehicle (model by yours truly) and SWAT officers taking position with H&K UMP45s: Enjoy! Feedback is appreciated as always
  17. Three new support signatures for the Montana Mod have been added to its first post in Submods>Not Released

  18. Three new support signatures have been added to the first post.
  19. Quick tip Handsup, the reason the firefighter's suit appears like it has a glossy coat is because you have Alpha Reflections on his model enabled. When you change the texture this tends to happen. Just edit him in the editor and disable Alpha Reflections and it should go away.
  20. New support signatures with new HD screenshots have been added to the first post of the Montana Mod thread, and more new content is coming soon.

  21. There will be a new brush truck. The exact model is being kept a secret for now but I will be developing it myself. Also: New support signatures have been added to the first post and new screens will come soon.
  22. Thanks! A couple of the schemes are loosely based off of real life designs, for instance, the new State Trooper scheme combines the smaller decals from the real life cars and a main logo design (the shooting star) that the MHP uses on a t-shirt that, in my opinion, happens to look better than what they put on the cars IRL. Police and Fire are 100% original. That's classified information
  23. You're correct. It's the new design for the Sheriff's department, one that I'm actually sticking with this time.
