  1. finishing up a new, very detailed brush truck model. It's taking quite a while. Screens soon

  2. PMs asking for release dates or links will get ignored so don't even bother.

    1. Handsup!

      Handsup!

*sends PM asking for release date*

  3. Absolutey. And to answer the other's questions, it will be on the LA map with edits. I'm still debating whether or not to include it, if I do I'll have to update the model and texture to make it HQ like the rest of the units. We'll see
  4. The mention of the end of June was an estimate. But I can assure you the release date is within weeks now. I'm in the bug shooting stage of development. Unfortunately a new map won't be included in this version, but edits to the existing map have been made.
  5. Be on the lookout for the release of the Montana Mod in the next few weeks! I'm releasing a semi-final version so that I can focus on my personal life for a while. Details will be posted in the thread soon.

  6. I like the style of this mod, Trident, keep it up.
  7. I'll see about an interior shot soon whenever I release the next trailer/gameplay video you'll definitely see it then. The population of Monida, MT, in real life, is 7 residents. The population of Monida Pass (a real pass in MT but a town in the mod) would probably be in the low hundreds if it were real-life.
  8. The spot at the front of the fire station is for the Battalion Chief's Tahoe.
  9. Yes, there will be a volunteer script in the final version. The idea is that CCVFD spans the entire county, with stations in different towns. This is the station for Monida Pass, where the new map will take place, and mutual aid comes from other stations off-map. And yes, Monida Pass is a very small town. It's based off the real-life town of Monida, closeby, which has a staggering population of 7. More than likely, the station will be staffed with an ambulance and an engine with MVA rescue capabilities.
  10. Montana Mod thread updated. New fire station pictures

Very nice station, Wish i had that skill

  11. New fire station that I've been working on for the past week or so, and ever so slowly working that small-town American feel into the mod. This fire station has an interior work room and two vehicle bays. Right now it is working in-game with Hoppah's LA Fire Station script but that won't be the case in the final version, as I'll be replacing it with a volunteer response script. I'm undecided on which two vehicles will be staffed there in the final version. This will be the only fire station on the new map.
  12. I'm trying to edit the flag pole in Zmodeler to remove the supports, since most US flags don't have those (I'm a very detail-oriented person). For some reason when I replace the old file with the new, it loses its animation data or something, so the flag no longer flaps in the wind. What's also weird is I tried to replace the broken file with one that was backed up before I made the changes and the same thing happened. Does anyone know why this happens and how I can avoid it? Thanks in advance.
  13. It's a simple copy -> paste. This will probably change in the final version as I'd like to include an installer.
  14. I'm impressed, as always. I think I speak on the behalf of everyone here when I say I'm excited to play your mod
  15. That's odd. It probably has something to do with the for-loop in the code, I'm combing through that right now Sure thing, just let me know. The ones remaining on the OP. + Engine 2 doesn't re-staff itself when you ring the alarm after it's returned to the station. Update - alarm bug fixed, had to do with the station having a Special Light on it, was causing the alarm to loop.
  16. Engine6.e4p is still using Engine5.v3o because all you did was clone it. .v3o = model file .e4p = prototype file Go to the vehicle's directory (outside of the editor, in Windows explorer) and copy Engine5.v3o, rename it Engine6.v3o, tell it to use Engine6.dds (or whatever) like Hereweard said, and then it will be entirely separated. To get it working in-game you'll need to follow the tutorial for adding new units.
  17. All but two of those fire station bugs are fixed. Take a look in the support section and if you know how to fix the remaining two, let me know.

  18. Thanks Hoppah, that may come in handy Update: all but two bugs fixed
  19. Looking for your help solving some bugs with a new fire station in the Montana Mod. Look in Modding Related Support if you think you can help.

  20. I'm looking for the community's help in solving a few bugs. I've made a new fire station model, with physics and everything already set up. It replaces FS 1 in the LA mod and has 2 bays instead of 5. I deleted the lines of code in the LA fire station scripts for those gates and the units that were in them, and set it up so that the USAR and Engine 2 spawn in the bays. Important note: the new FS model does not have rear bays, so the trucks need to back into the bays and be facing the right direction. It's fairly buggy right now and I have little scripting experience so I'm looking for some help here. Either PM me or reply to this topic if you have any suggestions or need any more information. Bugs: -units will return into the station but don't back in (which is not that big a deal, but..) and when it stops in its bay it is facing diagonally inside the station. -Engine 2 doesn't restaff itself when you ring the alarm after it's returned to the station and its occupants have emptied.
  21. Quick update. I'm working on a new fire station, which will take a while. After I get that working I'll try to start working on the map while simoultaneously replacing the rest of the old units. I'm considering making new fire truck models as the current ones, while detailed, don't feature doors, working equipment bays or flood lights which are all things I'd like to include.
