I believe the us marines like to keep their enemy at such a distance (longer than arms length) that they can't identify whether or not it's an enemy that's firing at them or friendly fire. And I wouldn't say america has the best army in the world, they're undisciplined and they're answer to 1 person shooting at them is to obliterate an entire square mile with a ton of ordanance. The majority of the time their army call in the air force and even then they can't hit the right target. Your army is taught it is ok to fire 100 rounds to kill 1 enemy ours are taught a maximum of 3 rounds per enemy.
