Nice idea, though please don't post this in the EM4 topics as it doesn't really relate to EM4. May I suggest the Off-Topic sub forum, as you will probably get a better response there as well.

Morning all, I have this problem, after having to reinstall Emergency 4 - upon loading the program, it opens with a black screen and then closes almost instantly. I've tried compatability mode, running as an admin, updating graphic card drivers, running on one core/creating a batch file, reinstalling but nothing works. I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium on a HP G60 120EM. Attached is a logfile and DXDIAG.txt - thanks in advance DxDiag.txt logfile.txt

By downloading CCC mod and navigating using Windows Explorer to the relevant skin files as usual? -
The Midlands Modification [Released 1.0]
acather96 replied to Freelancer's topic in European Modding
Looks great - if you want an AA van I've got a skin that fits the CCC Opel Vivaro, and a Beds Police van skin for the same vehicle + and an astra as well, I also have a skin for an MB Sprinter Ambulance. I'd imagine you could very easily modify these to fit your mod, should save you some time -
Cops and RedHawk504's Models productions

Nice, looking great so far -
FFS, I despair in humanity sometimes. To all the people constantly moaning about what they perceive to be a lack of progress or not been released soon enough, THINK. Dyson and Raf are not paid - not a penny. Neither are any other members of the MM team; they could just walk away from this mod and drop it whenever they want to, or keep it private. And with the level of constant moaning they're getting, I honestly wouldn't be too surprised if they did! Props to you Dyson, Raf and the rest of the team, its a great mod and only going to get better And remember the old adage: Good things come to those who wait!

Thats OK, how can I fix the shadow issue? - I think I've scaled it properly now. -

Great work guys, love it However, the EVO doesn't seemed to be scaled properly, but more importantly, when I load the model in the editor a large shadow casts itself permanently across half the model. Any ideas? -

Yay, merry christmas to all

I'm on both, but no-one else is on Teamspeak and no-one replies on Hamachi - or am I doing something wrong?

Apologies, in retrospect maybe this was a bit out of turn - but my original point still stands.

I'm relatively new to this forum, and have been making the same observations myself about the childishness, immaturity and flagrant disregard for social norms and etiquette - the belief amongst so many of the kiddies that because they are behind the computer, they can tlk liek dis cuz no1ne rily cairs anywayz? (for my full rant on englick comunicateshun skillz c dis: http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.php?/topic/15722-only-here/). The lack of a basic English skills is only one factor that contributes to the lack of intelligent conversation, the lack of ability to read, comprehend and follow simple instructions, not understanding the need to adhere the TOS (heck, not even bothering to read the TOS), and whingeing every time someone criticizes them or their work. Any comments which don't follow the 'gr8 model man' line will get an angry reply saying how 'it's not nice', and any attempts of rule enforcement/forum moderation comes with a flood of protestations about bullying, brutality, lack of free speech, and i dident no and i iz rily sory plz dont bann me plz plz plz ill b gud from now oni promise!!!! Don't get me wrong, there are lots of highly intelligent and mature users on this site - they usually tend to be the mod makers, as some degree of competence is required to actually make a mod. An example of this childish lunacy actually having a noticeable detrimental effect is on the MM thread - Dyson was constantly asked the same question three times by the same user (each time giving the same answer), and a couple of posts later after harassment from the kiddies posts this, which pretty much sums up the way things are going and will continue to go without tough enforcement: Respect to all the mods, mod makers and mature members of this site, you're doing a great job, keep it up Cheers, Acather96 P.S And please tell me someone else noticed the irony in this: *refering = referring* (and don't get me started on the grammar)

Is it possible to put a civilperson inside a vehicle?
acather96 replied to heyjoojoo's topic in Modding Related Support
I see what you mean now - 1) In Windows Explorer, go to C:\Program Files\Emergency 4\Mods\YOUR MOD\Units and then use logic to navigate through to find your vehicle. 2) Open up the relevant unit.xml file, and edit the Personnel value - remember to set the default values as well. It should be quite obvious what to change them to -

I'm a bit confused, what do you mean? -

Just edit the TV crew reporter's traits in the editor to being part of the relevant squad and assign the 'Get in Vehicle' command (if you don't know how to do this, reply and I'll explain in full) -
Yeah, sarcasm, that's a really great way to motivate unpaid modders to do even more work, considering the massive amount of time they've poured into this. </sarcasm> (technically you weren't being sarcastic, you were exaggerating - there's a subtle difference) Props to you Dyson/MM team - you're doing a great job, keep it up!

Sorry, but you're standard of English is so bad I don't think people can understand you. -_-
