+++ UPDATE +++ UPDATE +++ UPDATE +++ Okay, another 2 days, another fire station! This is gonna be station 2 that is combined with the police station. When I was building that a felt like building Notre Dame with all that spanish influenced style (I know Notre Dame is not in Spain okay ) Anyway I'm sure it's gonna look beautiful once it is textured Before starting with fire station 3 I'll adjust the map texture... thank you there are gonna be two police stations. one sheriff's office (screens i've shown already) and one combined fd and police station which i'm working on now additional info - once finished the current project i'll finally build the third fire station and start the texture work on all three greetz

Okay, I'll learn it myself Got another question though! Is it possible to activate lights with a script directly without declaring them as blue, special or whatever. For example: (lots of script code...) EnableLight "light45"; blablabla (lots of script code...) ?? possible ?? greetz -

You wanted new fire stations, here you got the first one (my last post, first station, build after google streetview pics and the one up there). While building this thing within the last 20 hours I felt like I'm building a palace I'll have to rework the map texture cause I wanna place it where old fire station one was. Alright you guys! I'm doing three new fire stations, one of them combined with a police station. The one I'm working on right now is this one (which will be the biggest one and fire station only): -> It will have 4 bays The one thats gonna follow will be the combined station (fire rescue and police as in real world for that station): -> It will have 2 bays for fd, police unknown yet The third one should be in the architectural style of the other two with 2 or 3 bays, haven't found a good example yet - ENG343INE, it's up to you I think! Hey! What's up you guys! The Palm View County modification has reached a point where scripting becomes a major issue. If somebody out there wants to join the team - which is ... me, myself and I - as a scripter or thinks that he has the patience to at least help me with adjusting scripts then please PM me! I've got so much work with everything else on the mod and I can't script at all so a little help would be great. I would prefer the second version! Think I'm do it that way If you got 'em ready in Sketchup, save them as SKP 6 files (necessary cause newer versions f*** the filez up for zmodeler) and send them to my e-mail address. I can turn them into v3o's if you want. I guess you'll have to resize them anyway cause I don't know the dimensions you need 'em in. I usually create my buildings in Sketchup, export them to 3ds and import them in zmodeler. There are several other ways using different 3d modeling programs as steps in between, but they also work fine as far as I know. greetz rettungstier

no no, i decided tol build new fire stations anyway. the map texture will get a little rework so that i get more residential areas which also provides more room for an additional fire station. i just have to rethink where and how i create more living space ^^ and i will have beach patrol / lifeguard units, but they will be station at the lifeguard towers on the beach. greetz

Alright, I have to admit this ... RETTUNGSTIER NEEDS A SCRIPTER!! If anyone out there can script, or at least can help me how to adjust existing scripts and/or is interested to join my Palm View County Modification team (which is just me right now) please contact me via pm! The mod has reached a point where scripting is becoming an issue for further progress. Please don't tell me I should try myself, since I learned everything else in terms of modding myself I'm too bored of learning scripting too now. It's just too complex and I wouldn't be able to do anything else on the mod if I had to learn that. So again, if interested to help your modding friend rettungstier - contact me! greetz rettungstier

That would be an alternative. I'm thinking of building new fire stations anyway. What number of vehicles would you recommend? Yes, fire fighters will be able to redirect traffic - lucky that's not much scripting. I built everything with google sketchup but I'm starting to learn building with zmodeler greetz rettunstier

Then I would have to re-texture the map completely or half of the map would be fire departments, police stations and the hospital :/

Mid Mount Aerial Ladder (question/idea)

Yeah that's what I thought. If you just turn (180 deg) the basic vehicle in zmodeler, save that and import as extra model with another prototype, add the superstructures and just make the original ladder being replaced if you press install by the new prototype it should be functional. I'm not a bit into scripting, so this is quite impossible for me to though :/ -
I won't change that much on the design. I wanna stick to the white base-colour and green (or orange for fire station 2) stripes and checkered squares for P.V.C. FD units. Except the colour "flip" maybe. As mentioned above, a heavy equipment vehicle will find it's way to fire station one. Maybe a lev and perhaps a water tender. But for now fire station one will contain: Battalion chief Engine 1 Engine 2 USAR Squad Aerial ladder Heavy Equipment Squad one FD Ambulance HAZMAT or another FD Ambulance fire station two will contain (kinda unsure if that's final decision yet): EMS response vehicle (Ford Crown Vic) one FD Ambulance one Engine Stationed at hospital: maybe another FD or "private" ambulance. Other vehicles needed will be coming from other counties/cities.... but nothing planned yet. greetz rettungstier

Each engine co with a fire capitan or LT is a nice idea and as far as possible I will add that, yeah. Changing clothes, gear, whatever is not a topic yet since it is all a scripting issue. There are LED Lights already, can't see them in the pics though. I think I'll change the lightbars on the fire engines aswell. Lighting's not done yet, but I'm a fan of LED - and fast flickering ^^ - lights so .... yes! they're gonna be there! Guess you're talking of something like this right? Would be a nice idea for FDs that come from neighbor counties/cities if I limit the amount of available units on the map. I could just "flip" the green and white parts on the skins a have. Kinda cool idea! I'll keep that in mind for sure! greetz rettungstier

thank you! brush patrol and tiller are not planned yet. next two vehicles are fire engine 2 and the heavy equipment squad vehicle. i just finished 3 turnouts - batt chief, ff with and without helmet - maybe i can show you some pics later. but first i'll have tot try myself how they look in-game greetz rettungstier

Here some new pics. As you can see: 203 means - fire department, 0 for station One, 3 for battaltion chief (1 for engine1, 5 for usar squad, etc.) Next up... Turnouts! Stay tuned greetz rettungstier

@ Todd if possible i want to have a limited amount of units - don't know if i can make that for version one. every unit will get a vehicle number that contains : station - vehicle type - number of vehicle within station example: ambulance 101 = station one - ambulance (0) - ambulance one of this station ... or sonething similar @ cheezy that's pretty much like it is here in germany, at least for als ambulances. i'm gonna keep that in mind! @ turnouts i personally like the black turnout, maybe with white/grey reflecting stripes. i'll work some versions out, make a screenshot and you guys can vote - agreed? greetz rettungstier
