NIce colour! What does the Tactical Unit and the 'Service' trucks do? The OC-D

May the 1st is Dissertation deadline, when that's in, I'm with you The OC-D

It's a pretty truck I'll give you that, nice photos as well The OC-D

Because there's never been scandals involving the police in Scotland And how's nationalisation going? Joking aside, they're really good ads, potentially a bit long but really well put together The OC-D

A question I've been meaning to ask but I got reminded by the picture in the new Dusseldorf Mod thread - why does Germany (and some other countries) give some utilities (Gas/Electric/Water) blue lights and sirens? Although I suppose an equal question would be why don't others? I don't really know what I'm asking....discuss.... The OC-D

I was stood underneath that wonderful statue but a couple of weeks ago! Clue is in your profile pic though Map and mod is looking excellent mate. One recommendation would be that the ARV's should be Shoguns but then you've acknowledged it's fictional and you're limited by 3D models, so it really don't matter if it looks good The OC-D

Dude - Triple post with super bumping and extra questions - he'll get back to you when he does, if you think of something else, use the old edit button. It's looking nice, I look forward to playing it The OC-D

For ownership of handguns you need to look at Section 7(3) of the Firearms Act 1997. I won't go into the details here but as with the Machine Guns noted above it is *theoretically* possible to own handguns in this country. Being a police officer or soldier does not give you the automatic right neither are they the only services in the country to deploy units with handguns - for example the National Crime Agency has Authorised Firearms Officers but they are civil servants who operate under certain parameters. Again, you can look that up in your own time EDIT: If its a live weapon it has a firing pin. Deactivated ones, depending on their Specification (e.g. Pre-1995) will have different states of Firing Pin either lathed or missing. The OC-D

Firstly, your comment about alcohol is an exaggeration, you are allowed to let children try alcohol from the age of 5 in your care as the right of a parent to educate, if you let them consume excessively or for leisure then you can be charged with negligence. Furthermore, purchasing alcohol for under 18's is a criminal offence unless in the circumstances dictated. It is illegal for Security Guards to do 'Armed Guarding' or 'Guarding with a weapon' in the UK. There was a case a little while back where a guard was questioned, possibly cautioned, for having one of those slabs of metals with a handle with a tiny torch in its grip. As for gun laws, you can own almost anything in this country with the right licence, it's proof of purpose that's the bugger. For example, the Historic Breach-Loading Small Arms Association has members with machine guns such as Sten, Uzi, Lewis and Vickers among others. As for us being safe and civil, that's something for you to believe and the violent crime statistics to prove otherwise The OC-D

Whoever sold it to you would be committing an offence and if you bought it abroad and brought it back you would be committing an offence - all of these under the Criminal Justice Act 1988. Unlike a pen-knife, there is no legitimate, alternate use for an expandable baton other than causing harm. Certain fixed weapons such as tonfas can be legitimate due to their use in Martial Arts and self-defence training. In addition, the chance of you being in when them darn burglars come-a-knocking is pathetically small. You're better off buying some pretty impressive locks before they steal your £1000 bedroom and your shiny baton EDIT: In this respect they are very much like a small amount of Cannabis, you cannot have it sold to you, lent to you, given to you, you can't find it or import but if one was found in your private possession not in a public place you wouldn't be charged. Nah, leave the videos in here, saves cluttering things up with two threads that effectively do the same thing The OC-D

Version 1.3 is in progress, there will be updates to maps, scripts, units and personnel, have no news on the things you mention though, watch this space The OC-D

No, I tried to get onto and was rejected for various reasons, this was a few of years ago. I don't really get what they do, but it looks fun nonetheless, if it appeals, go for it! The OC-D

The Welfordshire Mod has a British rural freeplay map and the M-60 Road mod has a Russian rural map, they're the best I can think of for you to play at the moment The OC-D

As an addendum to Handsup!'s point, a number of Fire Stations are now running Co-Responder schemes that can either dispatch a dedicated vehicle or a Fire Engine to a Medical Call. There are some yellow ones left. Also, not all of them are red, Newcastle's are purple and white, just go on UKEV and look under 'Airport Fire' Also, Grampian's White Engines are or have been phased out: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-21938388 EDIT: Link 404's for me, but you can search for a BBC article on it The OC-D

Ambulance Helicopter crash in Norway killing two
theocd replied to joachimnor's topic in Emergency and Rescue services
Holy crap that's bad. We had a police helicopter come down on a pub in Scotland just before Christmas, that was pretty bad. Thoughts and feelings with victims families. The OC-D -
No, I'm afraid I don' have 1.0. I wouldn't be sure about the permission from the author for someone to distribute them anyway The OC-D

Which ones are you referring to and why do you want them? The OC-D

Yeah, I have the same problem now I've tested. A Firefighter needs to be in Fire Gear to access the TL but there is no 'Deinstall' button, you need to press HQ and it will only go home as I found earlier when it left two firefighters stranded As for the CARP, it works fine as a Firefighting platform. When connecting to the fire engines, are you clicking on the cab. You must right click on the cab for the hoses to work. Really excellent work guys, having loads of fun, always been a dream of mine to have a rural mod. Also, I hope I won't jinx myself, but I've played 4/5 games each over 30 mins (min 30 max 90) and I've not had a CTD yet The OC-D

Did it have yellow dots on the windscreens? That normally indicates an ARV. That said, SO18, the Aviation Security OCU mainly employs firearms officers and not all of their vehicles are by literal definition 'ARVs'. The OC-D

St John Ambulance - Get to know other cadets etc, show off your kit!
theocd replied to Sgt Alex4028's topic in [EN] Off Topic
Yes, you do, every organisation is filled with them, everyone likes to know/have seen/have done the most. As long as it's harmless it'll slide, it's when people start punching above their weight it becomes a problem. The OC-D -
Excellent! I think Finn is referring to the redirect script from the ERS Berlin Mod, which allows the player to set a series of waypoints for directed traffic to follow. As far as I am aware, their Freeplay this runs off a Mission Script hence choosing it from the campaign menu. Whilst this allows for features such as this, it is very difficult to implement. The OC-D
