  1. As I will never get round to posting a picture, then next person to go is taken as my go. Have fun, but more importantly, have safe fun. The OC-D
  2. Guernsey Fire and Rescue Service. Bonus: It's fleet is entirely made of Ivceos and, as it cannot rely on any local back-up, its fleet must be entirely self-sufficent. http://www.iveco.com/Uk/PressRoom/PressRelease/Pages/EurocargotakesupfrontlinefireprotectioninGuernsey.aspx The OC-D
  3. 999 is in the UK too. Although 112 and, I believe, 118 work as well. The OC-D
  4. You don't need to deploy the bomb bot, a Bomb Disposal officer can disarm just as effectively! The Hazard lights are just for show. My preferred strategy for Hostage situations is one SUV with scout, 2 x SWAT and a profiler. Scout looks in building, negotiator talks (not really necessary). One SWAT grabs a Shield, runs in and stands in front of the hostage taker so he can't shoot the hostage. As he's merrily banging away at a bullet-proof shield the other SWAT can arrest him. You can give the other SWAT officer a stun grenade if you like! The OC-D
  5. It says that the USB port is for removing files from the box and putting them onto USB sticks so I presume that is for consumer use. It's a Sagem DTR 6400T/6700T, or that's what it says on the Manual. Thanks, The OC-D
  6. Hello, I have a Freeview Plus box at home that I can record programmes onto and it has a USB port for taking them off the box. I need to take a programme off the box and put it onto my computer. However, despite practical help and some quick Google searches, I still don't know how to do it. If anyone has had any experience of these devices before or might know a way to do it then that would br greatly appreciated. Many thanks, The OC-D
  7. I'm not going to lie, I'll never get round to uploading an image so anyone can have this go! Enjoy, The OC-D
  8. It's a London Underground Emergency Response Unit.It restores services after breakdowns. The ten units are based in Acton, Camden, Vauxhall and Tottenham Hale The OC-D
  9. I wish I'd never mentioned the guns, I thought I was being polite providing info but it seems there's a competition for who knows most. Anyhow, the Tazer Shotgun is the standard Remington with a Tazer shell that's self contained so there is no expense on more shtguns. Right The OC-D
  10. My area, Thames Valley, is starting to use M16s. My mistake, it's the L104A1. Typo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_UK_police_firearms The OC-D
  11. Really? Not even the one from that guy who wanted someone else to put .50cals on his National Guard Hummers? My had a purpose to ask whether my game was glitching or not, which has now been answered and there's no need for thread necromancy or any other comments to drag this out further.
  12. Just got some info to update your first post with the information on it but I thought it would be inappropriate for me to quote the whole thing: The AFO, plain clothed AFO and Armed Raid Police carry a pistol and the standard one is the Glock 17. In addition the submachine gun is normally the Heckler and Koch MP5A3 but they alos carry Colt M16 and Heckler and Koch G36C Assault Rifles. Another non-lethal option is the Heckler and Koch (see the theme!) M104A1 Baton Round gun. There are very few plain clothed AFOs outside London if you could post a pic that would be appreciated! Armed Raid Police are sometimes referred to as SFOs (Specialist Firearms Officers) but that's not always the case. They also carry Remington shotguns to breach doors with. Finally, all UK polcie firearms are Semi-Automatic, no bursts or Automatics. Riot Police are more commonly called Public Order. Raid Police are sometimes referred to as TAU (Tactical Aid Units). Other than that the mod is looking really great and I look forward to its completion. The OC-D (If any of the above facts are wrong, please correct me, I hate storing incorrect info. in my head)
  13. I really like firearms and have a profound interest in them. However, due to reasons I do not wish to discuss, I am unable to possess them here in the UK. Sucks to be me. Nice gun Jab! The OC-D
  14. I know that, it gives you a message, dog isn't close enough or something. But on that day, even though he was right next to the dog door he wasn't going anywhere so, chick-chick BANG! The OC-D
  15. Sorry for OT post but why are these 'Fire Trains' necessary? Is it just for really huge incidents? The OC-D
  16. Thanks Newfoundking, I know, I didn't suppose Hoppah was wrong for a moment, gosh no! Well, a bit of genetically engineered dog/sheeps it is. Thanks, The OC-D
  17. It's not useless. The question, which I haven't made very clear (sorry), is: is this delberate or am I the only one who it happens to? The OC-D
  18. Hello, Today I unloaded my police dog from the K-9 car and when I came to return it to the vehicle it refused to get in, can't remember why. In the end, I got frustrated and shot it. Whilst shooting it and when it died it bleats like a sheep!!!!! IF this is deliberate, which I presume it is, then that made my day! Sorry if this has already been posted but I couldn't find another topic with this in it, even the Easter Egg topic/thread/thing. The OC-D
  19. The only Police Service in the country with a Bomb Disposal section is the Met, as far as I know. Also, I didn't think the TA did Civil Bomb Disposal; I know only the Royal Navy, The Royal Air Force and the Royal Logisitcs Corps do. If you could find a picture of the WMFS Bomb Disposal that'd be cool. The OC-D
  20. If you are using LA Mod 2.0, on the control panel there is a button that says 'Disable Vehicle Emptying' or something similar and that means ,once pressed, your personel will no longer leave the vehicles when they arrive at the Fire Station. Hope That Helps, The OC-D
  21. I just think it was a tragic accident but why weren't the girders padded in the first place? I thought that seemed a sensible thing to do from the start. The OC-D
  22. I think it should be a generic British countryside map, not based anywhere as it woud then become 'That area mod' not generic 'England Mod'. Would be great if you could include a motorway as I love motorway incidents but if its too hard don't worry. The OC-D
  23. I think you mean the other way round. It's a documentary not a movie. (Technically it's a fly-on-the-wall!!!! ) The OC-D
  24. Sorry to turn this into an arguement but I am currently reading in a Special Forces book that 'GIGN take its orders from the French Ministry Of Defence, but its members remain policemen, with powers of arrest...' and 'Most of the 700 or so GIGN actions have been police operations.' They even refer to the men as Officers instead of Troops and they prefer to arrest rather than kill. Unless the book is wrong, which is possible. The OC-D
  25. I'm still not quite sure how this mod will work. It will remain like EM4 but you no longer control the Emergency Services you control Dave Black and commit crime.....? Is that right? If so, cool, I like a different stand point. The OC-D
