It's a fire hydrant near a construction site. I believe there is a church or a aquare or somethng to the west of the fire. Near that church/square some men are working at the road, they can direct you to the faulty hydrant. Use a fire fighter to close it and stop the contamination. greetz,

Did you try the reinstall? Have you downloaded your game? If yes, did you pay for it and where did you buy it? If you go to the EM3 main file folder (the one that contains the folders DATA and MODS) is there a file called ModInstaller.exe in the main folder? How do you mean you can't install the patch, what exactly is the problem? greetz,

If you want to add/edit the standard equipment of vehicles (axe, fire extinguisher, hose, jump pad, jaws of life, chain saw, road block and flash grenade) I think you should also edit the vehicle in the editor. I'll start up the editor then I'll edit this post to tell you how. If you want to edit the non standard items on vehicles then you should use the method mentioned above. Start the editor and load the mod (click modifications on the top of the screen and select the mod). This will load the mod (may take a few minutes). Now click edit on the top of the screen and select scene to bring up the prototype menu (or press F1). Select the vehicles tab. Now select the correct department from the box beneath, for example will take the fire department. Select the correct vehicle by clicking on the name. The name will turn gray and you can see an example of the vehicle if you move your mouse over the screen (to see if it is the correct vehicle). If it is the vehicle you need, then press edit (on the right side of the property menu). This will open the edit vehicle menu. In the edit vehicle menu choose edit traits (right side), this will open the edit traits menu. Here you can select the equipment the vehicle caries by chechking the boxes in front of the equipment name. If you're happy press OK to close the traits menu, press OK again to close the edit vehicles menu and save the changes. Quit the editor and try again. greetz,

Well you could edit the fp_params_endless_mp.xml file (or if you play challenge fp_params_challenge _mp.xml) located in the Emergency4\data\specs folder. You can increase the AverageFrequency value of certain events so that they will happen more often (bomb alert, gas exploson etc.). It should even be possible to add some events from the single player freeplay file simply by copying and pasting them in the multiplayer file. BUT to be able to play you would all have to have the same freeplay files, else you aren't able to play online. ALso changing the files comes with the risk that the files won't work at all anymore when you make an error while changing them. So I strongly advice you to make a back-up of the file before you start editing it. greetz,

You only need to add patches if you have the UK version or an older German version of Emergency 3. See the TECHNICAL HELP FAQ about the patches. Go to the Emergency 3 folder: how many file folders are there? If there is only one (named DATA) you need to create a new folder named mods. That will do the trick. If the mods file folder is there you should try to remove EM3 manually (select the EM3 folder and press delete) and reinstall EM3. greetz,

Divers can only travel with certain vehicles. In LA MOD most of the rescue trucks (like the USAR truck) can transport divers. You can have a fire fighter or recruit change into a diver at the lockers in the fire station or at some vehicles that have the command changetodiver (sorry but don't know which vehicles that are). greetz,

Have you copied the file and moved it away from its 'home folder' (the folder where the file is supposed to be in)?

The LA MOD usually makes sure you have at least one incident at a time whi;le playing, so it will keep you busy. But it could also be small emergencies. The other mods I don't know, but you could always try out a few. If you really want to, you can change the freeplay files to raise the number of incidents like it is explained in the tutorial. The only thing you need to make sure is that all people you play online with have the same files else you can't play together. I would also advise to backup the original file so you have it in case something goes wrong or you want to play with 'normal' settings again. greetz,

Well since no one has responded yet I'd thought I'd give it a try again. It's a E-One crashtender used by the Fire Department of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. It isn't used for training only. It is also used for extinghuising airplane fires (well it's been a while since they had one, so they really train more then they use it for fire fighting). greetz,

I think Stan only looked at the first part of the machine name. HP pavillion are mostly notebooks, but they also have desktop versions (such as yours). I read in your DXDIAG file you have Windows Vista as an operating system. In our EM4 GAME FAQ we have a special section about using Emergency and Vista. Maybe you could try to apply the tips given there. Maybe it will work. No you're not the only exception, it works for me too (luckely) greetz,

In deinen DXDIAG file sehe ich das Sie eine DUAL core Prozessor haben. Ich nehm an das Sie daran nichts verandert hatte und das das Spiel immer am beiten Prozessoren funktioniert. Sie konnen jetzt probieren um das Spiel nur auf einem Prozessor funktionieren zu lassen. Es hatte schon funktioniert bei die 911 First Responder Spiellen (der Englischen version von EM4). Start EM4 und drucke auf die Tasten CTRL+ALT+DELETE. Selektiere EM4.exe. Drucke auf dem rechter Taste von die Maus und selektieren Sie 'run on one core' (wieder eine Entschuldigung aber ich weiB nicht wie man das auf Deutsch sagt). Sie konnen auch probieren dein cpu Drivers zu aktualisieren (das stabilisiert der DUAL core), aber ich hab kein DUAL core, so ich weiB nicht wie Sie das tun kann. Moglicherweise ist er jemand anders die Sie damit hilfen kann. -------------------------------------------------------- I see in your DXDIAG file you have a dual core processor. I'm assuming you haven't changed anything about that and that the game still works on both processors, right? You could try disabling one processor and run the game on one processor only. In the past it has worked for some 911 First responder games (US version of EM4). After starting EM4 press CTRL+ALT+DELETE and right click EM4.exe now choose run on one core. You can also try updating your cpu drivers (to stabilize the dual core), but I don't have a dual core so I wouldn't know how to do that. Dein Videodrivers sind ungefahr ein Jahre alt, ein Update wird empfohlen. Sie konnen der neue Drivers downloaden am der Website der Nvidia. Sie hatten Windows Vista, in diesem fall kann ein kleine Storung oder Fehler sorgen das der Mod nicht mehr funktioneert. In der EM4 GAME FAQ finden Sie einem speciales Topic uber Emergency und Windows Vista (leider in English, aber wann Sie etwas nicht verstanden darfen Sie das mir fragen). Dort stehen tips uber die Konfiguration von deinem Computer, die Sie hilfen Emergency 4 ohne Fehler zu spielen mit Windows Vista. ----------------------------------------------- Your videodrivers are almost a year old, so an update probably wouldn't hurt. You can find the latest version on the website of Nvidia. Especially with Windows Vista the smallest indescretion could cause the game or mod to malfucntion. ?ERROR: dynlight.vsf Version 3.0.0.0 or higher required! Dieser Fehler zeichnet meistens das Sie dein Video Drivers (entschuldigung, aber ich weiB nicht wie das im Deutsch heiBt) updaten sollen. Wenn Sie dein DXDIAG file auch geben kann ich Sie sicherheid geben. Auch kann es zeichnen das Sie denn Codec Packs (K-Lite, samsung software, alle software fur externe Hardware) auf dein Computer must deinstallieren. Sie haben auch ganz viel von dieser fehler: Prototype not found: mod:UI/Game/Icons/Commands/ not found Es kan zeichnen das den Mod oder das Spiel nicht gut installiert ist, oder das dein Computer kein zugang zum den Files kriegen kann. Versuche den Fire Wall oder Anti-Virus Software aus zu schalten and es wieder zu versuchen. Also mussen Sie sorgen das dein Account zugang zur der Files kriegen kan (meistens soll du wie administrator mussen spielen). Wann das alles nicht hilft konnen sie versuchen den Mod zu deinstallieren und wieder installieren. Ich antworte auch im Englisch fur den andere Forumbesucher. ------------------------------------ The Dynlight error usually means you need to update your videodrivers. If you also upload your DXDIAG file (start --> run --> type DXDIAG, press enter --> save result and upload it) I can tell for sure. It can Also mean you need to remove any codec packs (K-lite, samsung mobile phone software, all software for external hardware devices you don't use). The Prototype and UI errors can mean that the game or the mod isn't installed properly or that your pc can't access the files. Shut down your firewall or anti-virus software and try again. Also make sure your account is allowed to acces those files (usually you need administrator rights). When non of this works try to reinstall the mod.
