Simple, delete the ones you don't use.

Maybe going back to your previous graphic driver works, it could be this driver is to new for the game to handle. It worked very few times in the past and it's a longshot, but it's all I can think about at the moment. greetz,

Posts moved by request. NOTE: I really think that in the long term this is gonna go the wrong way (considering previous games of this nature on the forum). As long as everybody stays respectful and sticks with banning instead of bashing the topic will remain openend. When violations of the TOS occur the topic will be locked to prevent things from getting out of hand (again). Sorry to be so harsh, but we learned from previous mistakes to act quickly. Just keep it nice and have fun. greetz,

Disabling the entire firewall is not nescessary, just making sure people from other PC's have permission to join the game is enough. Check the manual of your router/modem and your firewall for more information. greetz,

Did you also adjust your firewall settings to allow people from outside to acces the game through those portals?

What would you rather have: a plane that slides an etra 5 meters (15 feet) because of foam, or two whole wings full of jet fuel bursting into flames? Besides planes can also land on slippery runways that are wet from rain or snow. So why wouldn't they be able to land on runways coverd with foam? [EDIT] off course this only counts if the landing gear is down and they still have controll over the breaks. If either one of those is missing the plane will dump as mch fuel as possible and will attempt to land with retracted landing gear. This is much more dangerous. [/EDIT] greetz,

I checked the ATI website, I haven't found any new drivers there. They refered me to your notebook manufacturer (ASUS) to check for a driver update. They have a special program that scans your computer and determines the most suitable driver. You can find that function here. Click the red text beneath the green circle with the red arrow. ASUS will install a program on your laptop that scans the system and determines the best driver. That system will contact the ASUS website after it determined it and shows you the latest driver. Good luck.

WOW, somebody who actually took the time to search the forum. You're one in a million! Your logfile says you need to install newer graphic drivers, but I checked. You updated them very recently. So the problem really should not be with your graphic drivers. You could try running the game without anti-virus program or fire wall and see if it works. Else it might be an idea to uninstall the game and reinstall it. greetz,

With a codec detection program like Sherlock codec detective, you can find the link in the TECHNICAL HELP FAQ. greetz,

quote from the EM4 read me file: 2. Hints to the Multiplayer Mode 2.1. If you want to play EMERGENCY 4 in a local network (LAN) or in the internet and if you are using a router or a firewall, you have to pay attention that the following ports have been unlocked: - port 80 - port 58282 for TCP (Gameport) - port 12345 for UDP If necessary, refer to the manual of your router/firewall!

That depends on the resolution you are using. With a high resolution more pixels will fit on a meter then with a low resolution. If you have a resolution of 102 dots per inch. Then 102 pixels will fit one inch (about 2,5 centimeters). So that's about 41 pixels per centimeter. On one meter you would be able to fit 4100 pixels then. I'm not really sure though if the size of the underground texture (in meters) matters. I thought that as long as the number is dividable by 512, it shouldn't be a problem. I don't think it works out to start measuring in real meters. Your map will always be scaled down in the game (else the houses wouldn't even fit the screen). But again I would have to check it out in the editor for you. I won't have time for that untill about 23:00 hours (dutch time). Or else tomorrow. Maybe you could check out Tymadds 'making a map' tutorial to see how he imports the texture and what size he uses. greetz,

I can't seem to download sherlock right now, so I can't tell you exactly how to use it (only used it once before myself). Codecs are basicly all programs needed for running hardware that did not originally came with your PC. Mobile phones, digital camera's, scanners, printers etc. They all have some kind of image inhancement program they need to run. Those programs usually cause the problems. Some examples are K-Lite, samsung pc studio, mobile phone software. Maybe this will help you. Unfortunatly I need to wait till I can download sherlock again before I can tell you how it works. greetz,

Well it is definetly your graphic card than. Could you upload your DXDIAG file, so I can see what card is installed exactly and so I can collect the version information I need to check for a newer driver for you. If there is no newer version , I'm afraid you will have to go back to Vista... greetz,

This is the newest driver I can find. It's version 8.561 http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst...p=xp/radeonx-xp I believe you currently have version 6.14. So it should do the trick. I also found a lot of these errors in your logfile: mod:UI/Game/Icons/Cursor/MoveToFieldDummy.dds not found This usualy means you have to remove one or more unused Codecs. You can find more information about that in the TECHNICAL HELP FAQ. greetz,

Probably, I don't know, I don't have the map installed at the moment. But you could try and see if you can turn it off in the freeplay files. Good thinking.

It's not just for show, but it can only be solved if you have EM4 Deluxe. If you have any other version of EM4 you will have to ignore it untill the new version comes out. It won't do damage to units or buildings if you meant that. It's a bit like the (normal) demonstration: if you ignore the people they will still be protesting but nothing else happens.

In the Netherlands it's called 'paraat vliegtuig' (get ready for airplane). If it's on an airfield, the Airport fire service would handle the incoming of the airplane, the city fire department would be called as backup. They would cover the runway with foam to prevent any leaking fuel from catching fire and they would choose position near the place where they think the plane will land (off course not on the runway, but next to it ). On a highway I think they'd clear the highway and maybe cover it in foam too. Only they would have to call in a foam tender, cause our engines don't carry a lot of foam (maybe enough for 10 meters of highway LOL). City fire departments would be the first to respond here and the airport fire service would be on standby. If it's a large airport it is possible they would send in a crash tender to assist. greetz,

Undergrounds need to be able to be dived through 512. So for example a 1024x1024 texture can be accepted as an underground, while a 1024x1260 texture won't be accepted. I believe there is a maximum standard for the maps and that you can set map borders in the editor (somewhere at the bottom of the screen). But I'm doing this by heart so I would have to check it out for you if you need more specifics. Or off course, maybe someone else has the answers handy. greetz,

Did you perhaps have any messages in you logfile stating: LOAD:UI/MOD/[NAME OF A FILE] could not be found?
-
I'm not suggesting you should reinstall the mod or the game. I suggest you see if you have unused codec packs on your PC (like Samsung mobile phone software, K-lite tec.) and if you do you should remove them or update them. greetz,

uploading your DXDIAG and logfile. What that means and where those documents are can be found in the EM 4 GAME FAQ. How to ulpoad them can be found in the forum FAQ. greetz,
