For the adding of traffic lights: you can find them under the objects (F1). You can place them like any normal object. In order for them to work you would need to name them as described in this post. In order to add commands to vehicles you need to select the vehicle in the edit scene menu (F1) and press edit. You can then add or remove commands in the edit commands trait. But be warned: you cannot give those untis the 'go to fire station' command without also editing the fire station script itself (else they can't park anywhere and the game will probably crash). Post moved to modding section since it concerns general modding questions greetz,

two things: -are you sure you downloaded the UK version of patch 1.3 (and not the german version, DE). -Can you upload a logfile and a dsdiag file please. For more info about the files, see the EM3 GAME FAQ. greetz,

228 MB ?! Did you zipped or rarred it? I think it is not yet uploaded, since it isn't listed as a qued file and I can't find it in the download database. But maybe you can add it to another site, whatever works best. greetz,
-
And you're sure you're logged in as administrator and the files don't have a 'read only' status?
-
You can't change files to a dds file, you can only change a .dds file into a workable format and then back to a .dds file. You can't change the files from the editor so you can change them in paint. You can however use the underground textures from our download database (those are already in JPEG format). greetz,

Los Angeles mod (LA MOD) for Emergency 4 What does the stand by command do? In the LA MOD it is possible to call back up units via a police officer or the fire chief. The units that respond to those back up calls need to have the status 'available'. All vehicles on patrol or parked at a fire stattion / police stattion have the status 'available', but when you park a vehicle somewhere else on the map the recieve the status 'busy'. If you still want to be able to call those units as backup you can press the stand by command. This command changes the 'busy' status to an 'available' status so the parked units can be called as back up. So if you want to park a car at a location (not being a fire or police station) and you still want it to respond if you call for back up you need to use the stand by command on that vehicle. Does the LA MOD contain any missions? Yes, the LA mod contains ten new missions. You are able to play those missions by selecting the 'mission' button in the main menu after you have loaded the mod. You can not play the original EM4 missions with the LA MOD loaded. If you still want to play the original twenty EM4 missions with the LA MOD units you need to install the LA mission patch. Once you installed this patch you WILL NOT be able to play the ten LA MOD missions, but you will be able to play the twenty original EM4 missions with the units from the LA MOD. In version 1.9 (still needs to be released) you will be able to play both the twenty original missions and the ten LA MOD missions without installing patches.

Hoppah and the rest of the LA MOD staff are very busy at the moment. They are creating a new freeplay map and version 1.9 of the LA MOD. Therefore the suggestions topic has been closed. Please don't start any more topics with new suggestions. Topic closed

Go here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us and select option 2 auto search drivers and click graphic drivers. That will be the latest version. greetz,

Not only the name of the file needs to be the same, also the contents of the files. Best you can do is just copy all your files to you friends computer or vice versa, then you know for sure they're the same. Also make sure you both have the same version of EM4/EM4D/911FR. greetz,

How many forum members does it take to change a lightbulb?

HAHA dude that's epic. Great story! -
If you want to fix a problem with your graphic drivers I suggest installing new graphic drivers. See the technical help FAQ for more info.

This was on my cover of EM FFL German fire fighters and a burning plane

I think Nick means that the map will not be set as multiplayer map, only as freeplay map. So if you want to have it as a multiplayer map you would have to adapt it manually yourself. And off course the others with whom you want to play need exactly the same version of the files as you do.
-
Why would you want to try to change the screen resolution then?
-
Your translation is a little off. Jerks are persons that aren't very nice. Maybe you can try using a dictionary in stead of a translator. Or post a screenshot or movie or something. What do you mean with diagram? From what I can tell the cars are moving too slow, is that what you mean?
-
Have you tried to restart the game and see if the problem is till there? BTW: Next time please use the edit button, I merged the two topics about the right click problem.

In the EM4 editor you also need to hold controll (CTRL) to move the small cubes. So select move, press and hold CTRL and click and drag the small cubes. And please be patient next time, no need to start spamming my inbox when you want your question answered. greetz,

Use your mouse to click on the small cube and then drag it towards the white (centre) line. That's all there is to it. Maybe you need to click the white cube first I'm not sure, I'll check it out tonight.

Try reading the one post above yours...

If you look closely on this screen you will see a big cube at the beginning of the middle line. That line is the center line, making the cube the center cube. The centre line needs to be in the middle of a road, the centre line is not the line the vehciles will follow, it just serves as a reference. You can use the centre cube to move the entire path. Both of the side lines are the paths the vehicles will follow. You can adjust the width of the side lines by clicking the little cube at the beginning of the side line and dragging it towards the center line. You only see one cube for each set of side lines, if you move one side line the other will automaticly move the same distance. You cannot set the side lines to be so narrow that they overlap with the centre line (well you can but it won't function). If you do that vehicles from both directions will follow the same path and will stop because they are in each others way. So this has absolutely no use: greetz,

Please have some patience. There's no need to post three times in a row. Also posts like UP and HELP don't really add to solving the problem. So no need for that either. Those posts have been removed. In stead maybe you can try to be more clear or post a screenshot or something. For I find it very heard to imagine how cars 'go flat'.

Moved to off topic since it's not EM4 related. Have you tried googling it? There is an awfull lot of info available.
