The sound needs to meet a lot more criteria. -it needs to be in mono -it needs to have the same name -the frequency needs to be a certain frequency. I couldn't find it in the tutorial but there are a lot of posts about sirenes here where the right frequency is mentioned.

Don't worry: moved to the EN modding & mods section. This is yet another thing that is not LA MOD specific. You probably want to replace a siren in the LA MOD, but that is still modding. Oh and by the way: DVD Videosoft has a free and very easy to use sound converter. You can use that to convert the sounds yourself if you want to.

To play EM4 deluxe you do not need to install patch 3. You need to download and install version 1.8 if you have Emergency 4 deluxe. Version 2.5 is for EM3 only. You don't need EM3 to play EM4.

You will loose all the original files if you overwrite them. That way you cannot go back to the default game if you wanted to. If you have a hard copy you can reinstall the game, but if you have a digital download you need the code or you have to buy a new copy. And as theparanoid said it can also cause problems with the game because of the new commands and functions. Some are based upon the original files and need them to work.

A seventh victim died a few hours ago. It's a 55 year old male from the Dutch Royal Militairy Police (KMAR).

We tried that about three times already. It didn't work. People kept coming with the same suggestions over and over again while they simply weren't viable. Start EM4 Look at the bottem left. If it says version 1.3 then you do not need to install patches for EM3 or EM4. To install a mod: -download the mod into the mods folder of the emergency 4 file folder. -Unzipp or unrar the mod using winzip or winrar (www.rarlabs.com) -double click the file ending on .e3mod or .e4mod (depending on the version of the mod you installed). -the modinstaller will autoinstall the mod. You can close the modinstaller and start the game. -choose the category 'modifications' in the main menu and select the modification you want to play. Press load. The game will feezes for maximum 10 minutes and return to the main menu once the mod is loaded.

it works for me @ transporter: you need to name the alarm like the name of the alarm that is used in the LA MOD. Also the alarm is supposed to be in mono and needs to be a certain frequency. See the siren tutorial in the tutorial section.
