Emergency 3 Los Angeles County CA LIFEGAURD
pyrothijs replied to Darren-NYPD's topic in Technical Help
File uploaded in the Download centre --> EM3 --> small mods section -
I know what you mean, I mean where is it? You didn't supply a download link or upload it with your post.
-
You showed enough progress in the mod, so request granted.
-
In the Emergency 4/mods/LA mod/scripts folder and in the Emergency 4/mods/LA mod/UI folder.
-
sure just don't extinguish it
-
Reinstall the game, don't install the patch. Try to find a file called modinstaller.exe in you Emergency 3 folder. If it's there you do not need to intall patches and you can install the LA MOD without problems.
-
Can you upload the files you changed? I'll see if you forgot or missed something.
-
Try to browse through the topics in the LA Mod forum. There should be a topic called 'replace USAR truck by HAZMAT' (or something) to explain how to add vehicles. You will have to create all new scripts to make the vehicles appear on that station and return there. That's an awful llot of work and you can't learn that in one afternoon.
-
Edit the enter car script, so that any police offcier can enter the car. You will have to delete the line that forbids CHP officers to enter a LAPD vehicle. It will probably refer to the prototype of the CHP officer. I don't have time to check out the script but, I hope this gets you started. You need to do that in the Game/UI folder. There should be a file vehicles.xml there. You can change the names of the vehicles there.
-
You sure you added it in the right way? Do you call it form the menu or did you placed it on the map? Topics merged, adjusted, some posts deleted etc. to turn the two topics into one
-
I think you have a codec problem, see the Technical Help FAQ. You can also try replacing your graphic drivers by an older version, the newer drivers some how cause problems with the Emergency series.
-
Your logfile contains a lot of these mistakes: mod:Models/Objects/Misc/riverwall01_main.V3O !Model not found: Try to make sure you have all rights as a system administrator when you play the game and you do not have codecs that are blocking acces for the game. For more information see the EM4 Technical Help FAQ -- crash to desktop section.
-
Did you check in the windows explorer if there is a folder called Mods, sometimes it's missing and you need to create it yourself.
-
See the LA MOD FAQ on www.losangelesmod.com

Moved to the off topic section There are also lots of English mods in our download centre. Just browse through the downloads and you'll find lots of mods about British or Dutch or Belgian emergency services that are in English.

Topics merged from the above mentioned topic on

Can we go back on topic please, before this turn into a fire fighting movies topic.
-
Stecthkov is worth it. Better weapons and about 8 new missions. Also multiplayer has improved alot. Really makes it worthwhile to buy.

I'll see if I can upload the file tomorrow... -
I don't think so, it looks like the normal EM4. To be sure you can e-mail the seller: if the game is in English it isn't EM4. If both games are in German there is a chance it's EM4 Deluxe, but normally that is posted on the box (so beneath EMERGENCY 4, the term DELUXE would be added).

Or you could just use the report post button to let us know so we can remove the post and pm the new member that made the suggestion. That would prevent everything all together.
-
Do you mean you can't see the posts standing under each other, but in stead on the bottom of the page there are links to all seperate posts? You can change it back to the old version easily: http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.ph...ost&p=71895

All right: another try Maybe it was this: http://district8.net/wp-content/09042008.jpg It's a foldable platform that can be used to elevate fire fighters a few feet from the ground. That way they can reach the ceeling better if they need to take it out. Here we use it mainly for accidents with big trucks. We can deploy the platform and climb in the truck cab that way (or in the back as shown here ). Would be very logic to use that after an apartment fire and it would be logic to put it on a rescue truck. When the platform is folded it's about a foot thick (25 cm), it can look like a D because of the rail (that's bigger then the platform and therefor the curves can make it look like a D). I am at the fire station tuesday, I will see if I can take a picture of a folded one.
