Hi and to the forums. Actually you found two seperate events. Those are easter eggs that only happen on one day in the year. The zombie thing only happens on the 31st of october and the fire works only happen on the 31st of december. There is however a trick you can use to play with these events on any day of the year. You can change the number in the <IgnoreDate value="0" /> line to 1 and save the file. That way the event can take place on any day. Or if you just want to try and see what it looks like, simply change the date on your PC to the 31st of october or december and start the game. (Don't forget to change the date back afterwards). You can try this with all mods, it's not specific for the Los Angeles mod, it's something the original game producers put in. Topic moved to EM4 general section.

Can you please edit your post so that you add your DXDIAG file as an attchment. Also a description of the problem would be nice. 'little bit of lag' isn't an afwul lot of information.

If you have a digital download you probably won't need any patches. Start the game and at the main menu look in the lower left corner. If it says version 1.3 you don't need any patches. All English versions are already patched that's why there is no English patch.

Around here it's very frequently used to train captains and higer ranking officers. You don't need a lot of people playing victims or help with fire fighting etc. and the captain/officer can still train for big events they are not very likely to see every they in the field (train or plane crashes, very large industrial fires etc.). Only we don't use the version of this company, we use one from a different company, that allows you to zoom in further and where you can edit the skin of the rucks so they could make the rigs look Dutch. It's not a game it's a training program and since you are required to register as a company in order to use it, I assume they don't want everybody starting to mail it around. I'm sure something like that will be in their general conditions.

I think he is talking aboutreskinned units (thus the skin and the model together) not the skin itself. But I'll ask him to clarify.

Only the old file prototypes.rar that was posted on thursday 16-07-09. The file that is in Xplores's post today is virus free. The other file was only downloaded about 20 times. Those 20 people need to take precautions as scanning their hard drive and removing the virus or the files. The rest has nothing to worry about.

I'm not sure if you need permission for changed skins. Just for skins in combination with the model because the model is a lot more work to create. But I'm sure Hoppah wil clarify this soon.

I think you have a problem with your videodrivers. The demo isn't meant to be played on drivers that are from 2009. Try installing drivers from 2008. Also running on XP SP3 can cause problems sometimes, but if you make sure you have administrator rights there shouldn't be a probelm.

If you bought EM3 recently you don't need to install patch 1.3 Uninstall the game, then reinstall it again. Now install the LA MOD withou installing patch 1.3. That will probably fix everything.

Try downsizing your graphic drivers to some version from 2008. For some reason the game isn't compattible with the latest drivers.

Then chances are there still isn't a campaign mode.

In version 5.something there wasn't a campaign in the EM4 winterberg mod. Now there at 6.0.something, but I don't know if there is a campaign in this version. I haven't played for a while.

Usually you need to let the paramedics pcik up the wounded. they will put him in the ambulance. After that you need to let the emergency doctor (Notartz) enter the ambulance. The ambulance will drive to the hospital without you having to do anything else. Everything is cripted so you don't have to unload the patient etc. And you're correct the translation still is work in progress. Did you buy it online? Are you sure you entered the right activation code? If it's a hard copy then there is a problem with the copy protection. Contact the games distributer.

There is an English translation available. Use the webupdater to recieve the most recent version. Then go to this folder: Emergency 4\Mods\WEM60\Specs and open the file metastrings.xml in notepad. Change all the 'de' into 'en' and save the file.

How about you let the forum staff decide that? As long as there are people having questions about the EM3 LA MOD this topic will stay open. Period. About mission 17: keep a fire truck and a police vehicle on the map. If you send all vehicles away the mission will fail.
