Oh yes, and while were at at: -Does the USAR truck fit in the second station? -Does the HAZMAT vehicle fit in the second station? -Does the Mass casualty unit fit in the second station? -Does the FBI command vehicle fit in the second station? -Does the LAX Crash Tender fit in the second station? -Does the Motorboat Transporter fit in the second station? -Does the Big Fire Boat fit in the second station? -Does the Fire Extinguishing Plane fit in the second station? -Does the Troop Transport Plane fit in the second station? Really people do all of you have nothing better to do then boring Hoppah with these kind of questions? It's starting to get on my nerves now. Wait for the map and see yourself!

Since the beta version is up for download I moved your project to the EN Mods section. Congratulations, it looks very good!!! Tip: you might want to edit the first post and include the download links ther to. That way everybody can find them easily without having to browse through the topic.

Hi and to the forum! Did you save the mods in the Emergency 3\Mods folder? Did you try double clicking the file ending on .e3mod to see if the auto-installer worked?

If you have your own mod you need to save the map elsewhere: Emergency 4\Mods\[name of the mod]\Maps If you want to play freeplay or campaign you need to name your map freeplay.dds And again: if you want to play freeplay or challenge you DO NOT need to make a mission script.

You ever tried catching a penny someone threw from the top of the Eifel Tower? It will slice your hand right open because of the enourmus speed. Same thing with water dropped from a great height: because of its speed and mass it will damage everything it hits. It's done to make the game more realistic. Moved to EN general section

For EM3 I found this in one of the files of the Notruf California MOD: <vehicle name="Fire Fighting Plane" prototype="mod:Prototypes/Vehicles/Fire Department/lf_body.e3p" space="0" loadspace="0" requires="1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 14 15 16 17 18 20 21" speed="160" price="0" nodisplay="1"> As you can see behind the fire fighting plane the code nodisplay="1" is added. Maybe that means not displaying the '3 minutes wait time'. It's just a guess. But again, only one way to find out.

You can only save scripts in the folder called scripts (that's why it's got that name ). You need to save your editor map in the folder Emergency 4\Data\Maps. You need to make sure the map and the mission script have the same number in order for them to correspond. You can find your map in that folder if you want to edit it.

Open your config file with notepad and search for this line of text: <var name="s_language" value=. behind value there needs to be "en" in that case, if it says "de" change that to "en" save the file and exit. Also make sure the entire Emergency 4 folder is accescible for the administrator.

Technically that shouldn't make a difference. There both exactly the same game only 911 FR is in English and EM4 is in German. But who knows maybe it will work.

I just saw Stan uploaded the config file as a zip document so I guess you were right about that Go to the folder Emergency 4\Lang and see what folders are present there. Now go to the folder Emergency 4\Specs and open the file metastrings.xml with notepad Make sure the name of the folder in the Lang folder and the folders mentioned in the metastrings are named the same. For example: in the Lang folder there is a folder called 'en'. Then you need to make sure all the strings in the metastrings file read as followed: <file name="mod:Lang/en/infotexts.xml" />

You cannot unzip the configuration file. You can only unzip files with the extension .zip or .rar. Just download the file and paste it in the EM4 main folder.

Download the configuration file from are download database and use it to replace your own configuration file. That should solve the screen resolution thing.

You don't need to open any files in the Lang folder. You need to go to the Specs folder and open the metastrings.xml file with notepad/wordpad/word whatever. Then you see all lines of text like this: <file name="mod:Lang/de/infotexts.xml" /> Change the de part to en for all of the lines of text like so: <file name="mod:Lang/en/infotexts.xml" /> Save the file and exit. Most of the Winterberg mod will now be in English. [EDIT] in the newest version of Winterberg it is even much easier. In the Specs folder there is a file called metastrings.en, If you change the name of that file to metastrings.xml. And click yes if you are asked to overwrite files all of the lines will be changed automaticly.[/EDIT]

You can try 'downsizing' your videocard drivers to a version from 2008. A lot of people with new videocards found that it helped. Apperently the higher drivers are 'too hot to handle' for the Emergency game. By downsizing, maybe you can solve your problem. You could also try to see if you have a codec problem using sherlock, if you haven't done it already. Also make sure you run as an administrator and have the right to acces all of the files from the game. Without a logfile that's about the best I can do. If nothing else works you can always try to reinstall the game and see if it will work. When it works only then you install mods etc. So we know it isn't the game. If it doesn't work it is something on your PC.

Try this: start --> search --> files or folders Type 'Google camera adapter' and press enter. Maybe you can find and remove it that way. Again I don't have the program and I don't know it so I can't help you much with this other then the basic stuff.

If you want to use it as a freeplay map just name the map freeplay.dds and paste it over the normal freeplay map. No need for scripts. If you want to use it as a mission map you can save your files in Emergency 4\Data\Scripts\Game\Missions. Your script name needs to match the mission name and map name. BTW I removed the CAPS from the topic title. Typing in CAPS for no reason isn't allowed at this forum.
