Helmond mod is also very nice. But it's alarm menu is mostly in Dutch. So it will take some fiddling around before you really get to enjoy it.

Read through the topic and find out. If you would have looked at the first post you would have known

EM4 Deluxe Not Full Screen in Windows 7
pyrothijs replied to Xplorer4x4's topic in Technical Related Support
Try right clicking the shortcut on your desktop and select propreties. Select the shortcut tab and in the category 'run' select full screen (or maximized or whatever it's called). Then click apply. Now see if it worked by starting the game via the shortcut. If it worked you can also try it with the emergency4.exe file. -
game crashes after intro on windows xp updated
pyrothijs replied to a topic in Technical Related Support
Without I DXDIAG file I can't tell for sure, but I think you need to update your graphic drivers and you need to take a look in our FAQ section. In the Technical Help FAQ section there is a part about codec problems. Based on your logfile alone I think you might also have a codec problem. Try and see if you have any of the codecs mentioned in that topic installed. -
Chris is right. Your videodrivers are way too old. They date back to 2006. Try updating them to a version from 2008 (the 2009 versions somehow give problems).

Are you sure you needed to install patch 1.3? Did you have the modInstaller before installing patch 1.3 (start--> programs --> [game manufacturer] --> emergency 3--> emergency 3 Modinstaller)? Installing patch 3 without a need to install it can cause this error

You're probably missing a bracket or two. Upload the changed unit.xml file, so we can check.

Only one topic per question allowed. I deleted your topic in the Dutch part of the forum.

We do (or at least in this case I did) that to prevent topics going off topic too much. You are correct, further discussions can always be done via PM. Usually we have lenghty discussions via PM to explain ourselfs, even though we don't have to. But we find ít is important somebody understands why we enforce a certain rule so he or she doesn't break it twice. Only other members can't see those discussions from happening and assume it already ended. But now it's really time to go please (in case anyone forgot: the topic was the new LA MOD freeplay map). Any off topic posts after this post will be removed (gotta love that dictatorship ).

I read your post all right. That's what made me tick, you know the map isn't quite finished yet, but you want to know if the rest of v1.9 is done already so you know if v1.9 is about to be released or not. It's not quite the same as asking for release dates (I'll give you that), but it comes very, very close. That's the reason I posted my remark earlier. Now, I'm getting tired of debating this. The point I'm trying to make is: it's just incredibly annoying when everybody would start asking what part of v1.9 is or isn't finished because then they know when v1.9 is about to be released. I don't see why you are making such a big deal out of this. I just tried to tell you those kinds of questions usually aren't appreciated much by modders. How hard can it be to understand the underlying message? Feel free to reply, but that will be the last thing I want to hear about this. After that it's time to get back to topic. [EDIT] And to everybody else, please don't start jumping in. Let's all go back to topic.[/EDIT]

When you ask: "is version 1.9 finished", while you know the freeplay map isn't done (meaning the version containing that freeplay map can't be finished) the answer to your question seems very obvious. Besides it's just as annoying to keep asking 'is it finished already' as it is to keep asking 'when is the mod coming out'. So in my book it both fits the category of asking for release dates. If you follow this topic you can read what parts of the mod are and aren't finished (tiller truck for example) and make an estimated guess yourself.
-
Don't start pushing. Asking for release dates isn't allowed. It'll be finished when it's done.

It's a flaw in the game. You can't play a mod after another mod, it causes bugs like missing command icons or vehicles being unable to move.
-
You can't ope the file to download it, you need to save the file on your harddisk first.

Why hasn't nobody done this yet?
pyrothijs replied to 917893678251's topic in Modding Related Support
It already exists. Never noticed how when you park police cars or fire trucks at the station all the head lights go out and the exhaust doesn't produce smoke? Both in the LA MOD and the Winterberg mod. You just can't turn the engine on and of manually. You were able to that in the WInterberg mod for EM3 byt the way, but it was just too annoying so they removed it. -
I believe that feature is disabled now because people started to pretend they were part of modding projects they had no part in.

Do you guys have the paid version of Z-modeler? Without the paid version it's not possible to succesfully import/export models.

Deleted Dutch topic. Only one topic per subject. Also moved this topic to the modding section since the mod isn't complete yet.

Paradise City Mod (formally DC Mod)
pyrothijs replied to bsbllthirteen's topic in Modding Related Support
First of all: you need to be very carefull making accusations like that. Without contacting either Kent Firerescue or the creators of the Sketch-up models you have no way of knowing if he asked permission. Second of all: in the future contact the guy you suspect to be a thief or the mod creator via PM to prevent a flame war on the forum. You may also contact the forum staff via the report button (that's what it's there for). Theres no need to start pointing fingers in public before you know all the facts. The mod creator and the forum staff can try to find out what exactly is going on that way before any accusations are being made . In case the models do appear to be stolen, bsbllthirteen would of course have no other choice then to ask for permission or remove the models since we don't allow any copyright infringement on this forum. I'd very much appraciate it if everybody would wait with commenting about "the theft" untill we hear from either Kent Firerescue or the sketch-up creators. I think bsbllthirteen is very capable to contact either one of them himself. So from here on please stay on topic and let the mod creators worry about what models are or aren't stolen. -
That was exactly what I needed and yes I'm a volunteer FF. The secRom error means there is something wrong with the copy protection system. If you digitally downloaded the game make sure you entered the correct verification code during the installation. Also some problems can cause 911 First Responders to start given unexplainable errors. The programs that are the most common cause of these errors are: K-Lite codec pack, Samsung PC studio, Nokia PC software, Magixx & Sony pc guide. We recommond uninstalling those programs to make sure 911 First Responders works smoothly. Atomic monkey was correct about your desktop. You need to update it's videodrivers. You can find the newest drivers on NVIDIAs website. Try downloading drivers that date from 2008 (for some reason the drivers from 2009 cause a problem with 911 First Responders). On NVDIAs website you can also find installation instructions. It might be a good idea to check if you still have the CD with the original drivers thta came with your computer in case something goes wrong.

How do you set configuration for zmodeler
pyrothijs replied to 917893678251's topic in Modding Related Support
what exact error message do you get? Have you tried redownloading and reinstalling Z-modeler from the official website? -
In the FAq section on this forum (click FAQ in my signature to get there), we have a technical help FAQ that explains where you can find a logfile and DXDIAG file and how you can upload those files onto the forum.
