Sorry I forgot to mention I merged the two topics of echo04 about the .exe problem (was called away). Xplorer replied to the other topic without all the information you provided. So not his fault.

Press 5 on your keyboard and select the option 'enhanced zoom of' (red cross in a gray square). Also make sure your mouse isn't pressing the edge of the screen. If you move your mouse while loading the mod it will automaticly start at the edge of the screen (thus moving your camera).

Winterberg mod Where can I find the latest version of the Winterberg mod? From version 6.0 an automatic updater is added to the winterberg mod. You can use that updater to recieve the latest version of the winterberg mod once it is released. You can find the Winterberg updater in the main folder of the winterberg mod. It is called WinterbergUpdater.exe or WinterbergUpdater(2).exe. If you double click this program and if you are connected to the internet, the mod will check if a new version is available. When a new version is available it will download and install that version automaticly. That may take some time depending on how long you haven't updated your version. ALSO NOTE: after updating the older unnessecary files will be deleted. So if there are files you do not want to loose (e.g. a specific vehilce), make sure you copy those files to a special folder on your desktop first!!! I read a new version of the Winterberg mod is out, but my updater won't update my mod, help! There can be three reasons for the failure of your updater: 1: You are not connected to the internet. In that case make sure you esthablish an internet connection before you try again. Also make sure your internet connection is fast enough to handle large data flows. 2: You are connected to the internet, but your firewall/anti-virus is blocking acces to the internet or to your PC. In that case make sure to add the program WinterbergUpdater.exe (or WinterbergUpdater(2).exe, depending on your version) to the list of trusted programs. 3: The new version of the mod isn't available for normal users yet. The Winterberg mod works with a bonus system: if you periodicaly wire money to the Childrens Hospital mentioned on the Winterberg site, you can apply for bonus acces. If you have a bonus account ou get to see the development of the latest version of the mod and you get to play the latest version of the mod before the normal users who aren't supporting the hospital. So it is possible people who are supporting the cause are playing the newest version of the mod, while you can't play that version yet because you didn't donate to the Childrens Hospital. How do I alarm units? You can use the keys 1,2,3 & 4 on your keyboard to call the alarm menu for the Fire department, ambulances, police/technical & emergency doctors. My camera is acting strange, how do I get the normal view back? Press 5 on your keyboard, you will open the Winterberg Mod settings menu. By pressing the enhanced zoom off button (red diagonal cross in a gray square, bottom row) the special camera features will be disabled and you can use the normal camera. Is there an English translation available for the Winterberg mod? Yes there is an English translation for the Winterberg mod. If you have version 6.8 or higher the translation is even included with the mod! Go to the Specs folder of the winterberg mod. There is a file there called metastrings.xml and also a file called metastrings.en. First delete the file called metastrings.xml. Now right click the file called metastrings.en and choose 'change file name'. Change the name of the file to metastrings.xml. All written text will now be translated, but the supervisors voice will still be in the original game language. There is also a French and Italian translation available. They can also be found in the Winterberg mod Specs folder. The files are called metastrings.fr and metastrings.it. You can install them like you need to install the English translation.

Looks like someone is on a posting spree today... 38 posts on a single day. That's about 2 to 3 times the number of posts any admin makes a day! Your not violating any rules by answering every topic so you won't get warned or anything. But you might want to start asking yourself if all of your posts contributed to the topics. Like the one quoted above for instance. It gives me the very strong impression your just trying to up your post count so you get a higer rank and I find that very annoying.

By unpacking the .rar file with winrar I suppose. About compatibility: you can make all kinds of mission scripts with this script generator. But I don't believe it includes any variables from the LA mod or NY MOD. You can however still use the script in the LA mod if you want. You just can't use some of the LA features then.

There is our tutorial section... And on the website of Z-modeler 2 you can also find a tutorial on how to make nice models. Beyond that I wouldn't really know, but you can always try google.

I'm sorry but we have those too: Their from a well known beer manufacturer, that has a blue logo (and therefore they painted their fire trucks blue). Maybe you should go with purple, I don't think we have those here LOL. I will stop going off topic now

No that's way too realistic if your from Enschede (Netherlands) In case anyone wonders: all fire engines in the Netherlands are red. They used special foil to make this one green. It was used to promote fire safety (and nothing says safe like something green, right?). The idea was it would attract a lot of attention and people would come to see what it was all about (strange enough, they actually did too ).

You do realise this is a video game right? The people in game have no emotions what so ever (except panicking maybe, but that's scripted ). But I agree it would be very nice eye candy and attribute to the realism of the mod.

You need to edit that in the vehicle.xml file Find the vehicle protoype and make sure your policeman has this interface_ID: <interface id="ID_DEFAULT" image="base:UI/Game/personimg/policeman_small" bigimage="base:UI/Game/personimg/policeman_big.dds" trivia="ID_TRIVIA_POLICEMAN" purpose="ID_PURPOSE_POLICEMAN" tooltip="ID_TOOLTIP_POLICEMAN" />

I can't tell without the changed files. Maybe you didn't define the personel correctly.

Your are missing the equipment start <equipment> and the back slash to end the equipment part is on the wrong side, it needs to be </equipment> like it is with units and personnel

Then delete the game and reinstall it. See if you have the ModInstaller in your start menu our the program called ModInstaller.exe in the Emergency 3 main folder.
