Top 30 Military Powers in the World
pyrothijs replied to Commander Rasseru's topic in [EN] Off Topic
Let's keep everybodies political ideas out of this discussion, shall we? -
Have you looked at the UV-map tutorial?
-
And that's exactly the reason why you were told to stop advertising for your clan in other topics. This topic isn't about your clan it's about the emergency simulator of TROOPER05. People replying to this topic usually mean to reply to this topic about that emergency simualator. @ Ami: posts in the off-topic section do not count as posts for the post-count ranking system.

Here you go, don't forget to change the extension to .script. Also make sure the objects and virtual objects needed have the same name as they do in the script. ToggleGate.txt
-
Don't double post, use the edit button please. Last 3 posts merged.
-
To make the objects solid you need to place a virtual object marked as 'no vehicles' (or 'no dirving through' or something just check the options at the virtual objects, you can't miss it). Next you need to make script that 1: opens the gate when you press a button (the buttons can be found under objects, make sure you check the useable box at traits) 2: will remove the virtual object once the gate is opened and will add the virtual object once the gate is closed. You can basicly use any gate script and modify it, but I recommend the one from the EM3 LA MOD used for the police station gates.

If you uninstalled the modificatiuons using the modinstaller not all files might have been deleted. That could cause the 'file with the same name is installed' error. That's why I suggest you download a mod you haven't installed before, so you can see if that is the problem. When deleting mods, always select the folder of the mod and press delete, that way you are sure no files stay behind. Something else you can try: insert the EM4 CD and start the setup menu. You can choose to repair the game on your harddisk, usually that works too. For more info see the Technical Help FAQ.

This forum isn't intended to recruit people for other clans or games. But since both the LCPD clan and the emergency games involve police activity, I will allow this topic here. But if and only if you stop recruiting for your clan in other topics or else we will remove your posting priviliges. Since our TOS clearly forbids advertising without prior consent it would have been considered very decent if you asked permission first. Topic locked since the link to the forum is already posted in the first topic. For questions please contact Brad via PM.

The officer was hospitalized with a broken jaw, a severe concussion and a torn vertebra. But his life is no longer in danger.

Ok now go to our download centre. Clear your browsers cache (tools --> delete browsing history --> delete everything except the cookies). Now download a mod that you haven't downloaded before (Gelderland Zuid mod for example) and save it in the Mods folder. Extract the mod file using winzip or winrar and double click the file with the extension .e4mod. If you still get an error message there is something wrong with the settings on your computer. By the way: are you sure you are downloading EM4 mods, not EM3 mods? Did you install any patches?

Helmond mod How do I alarm units? You can alarm units by selecting one of the two operators at the main fire station. To alarm the fire service choose the red INDV. tab. 'TS' = a pumper, 'HV' = a heavy rescue vehicle, 'HW' or 'AL' = a ladder, 'KR' = a mobile crane, 'SB' = a foam extinghuising vehicle, 'WO' are the divers & 'OVD' is the fire chief. The ambulance menu is the yellow AMBU button. A 'spoedarts' is an emergency doctor, 'ambu' is an ambulance, 'MMT' is the rescue helicopter (only contains three emergency doctors and can't transport patients) and 'uitvaart' is the cororner. The blue POL tab is for the police. 'HELI' is the helicopter, 'ME' is the riot police and 'SURV' are the normal patrol cars. The OVR tab contains the tech units. 'ANWB' is the tow truck, 'VAREL' can be used to reset the fire alarms and 'NS' is to repair a defect on the rail road tracks or traffic lights.

Air ambulances aren't used to transport patients in the Netherlands. There are a few exceptions (like tranbsporting patients in areas where ambulances can't get to or when they expect a patient may need surgery on the way to the hospital), but in most cases the emergency surgeon accompanies the victim in the ambulance and they are driven to hospital. The pilot flies the helicopter to a pick up point near the hospital and then they pick up the doctor and fly back to base. I don't know why they made that rule.

Wow the mod is really coming along nicely. Good job and keep up the good work!

Again, that's not the folder, that's a shortcut. A folder is marked with the symbol in the red circle and it should be named "Emergency 4". Shortcuts can be recognized by the little arrow in the lower left corner of the icon (see the blue circle).
-
So now you have a folder called Emergency 4 on your pc, correct? Have you checked if that folder contained the mods directory? Have you checked your version (lower left corner of the EM4 main menu)? Have you deleted the previous mods from your system completely (selecting the mod and moving ti to your recycle bin)?

You should update your graphic drivers, they date back to 2003. Try upgrading to a version from 2008, most 2009 versions give problems.
-
Go to the data folder and copy the save folder into the folder 'my documents'. After the reinstall replace the empty save folder by the save folder in your 'my documents' folder. If you can't install mods and you don't have a modinstaller, how did you managed to install mods? And even if they do get removed, you can always redownload them and install them again.

During the winter months only the map wit snow is available. During the summer months only the map without snow is available. If you use the Winterberg updater in the summer you will recieve the map without snow. Also please do not type in caps, it looks like you're yelling. Everybody here hates being yelled at.

I really don't get why you bring up your start menu all of the sudden? The default location of the installation used by the installer is C:/Program files/[name game manufacturer]/Emergency 4 (if C is your hard drive. Just do me a favor and reinstall EM4 in that location.
-
-Download the mod and save it in the folder called [name of game manufacturer]\Emergency 4\Mods. -Unzip the mod using winzip or winrar by choosing the option 'extract here' -double click the file ending on the extension .e4mod and the modinstaller will autoinstall it. If you do not have a folder called Mods in the Emergency 4 folder create one manually (file --> new --> folder). Also make sure that while downloading you accept all cookies from this site and that you cleared your browsing history.

You really need to update your graphic drivers, they date back from 2002. Try installing drivers from 2008 (some of the 2009 drivers cause problems). -
You shouldn't install all files seperatly on your desktop. When installing the files you need to make sure all files are saved in a folder called Emergency 4 (or Emergency 4 Deluxe or 911 first responders if you have those games). If you just install all files on your desktop the modinstaller can't find the correct folder and will say the mod is corrupt. Just try to install it on the default location the installer gives you.
-
Then there should be a folder called Emergency 4 on your desktop, correct?

For anybody taking this remark seriously: There's no use in making requests, as said the feauture is disabled. This means there is nothing to change any more. Only people that had a title below their name before the feature was disabled still have that title. And (if I'm correct) even they can't change it.
-
No that's the shortcut to the EM4.exe file. I mean the actual EM4.exe file in the Emergency 4 folder.
