Because in the game the driver never leaves the vehicle That's why you can still move the vehicle if all personel is out on the street. So all other personel members are passengers and enter the vehicle via the passenger side door.

Is there an entercar script like in the EM3 LA MOD? If so you need to edit that script. Or you could simply pick an existing name from that script and give that name to all the new vehicles in the propreties screen in the editor.
-
Replace them by a file with exactly the same name and same propreties (same length, sounds must be in mono, needs to be in .wav). You can find the siren files in the folderb Emergency 4\Mods\Los Angeles Mod v1.9\Audio\Fx\sirens
-
If you want to make it like that you would have change the script so that the 'move' command would be temporarely removed if there are no FF/cops in the vehicle. But it makes the gameplay very difficult so I strongly advise you against it.
-
It works for me. Are you sure you have chosen the install path correctly?

Your wish is my command

Simply download the mod, unzip it and click the file Los Angeles mod V1.9.exe Make sure you specify the folder your GAME is in, not the MODS folder. After that install patch 2 in the same way.
-
Have you reinstalled the game after the crash? If not try that first. You can ask your computer friend if he renewed your videodrivers, if he did you need to replace them for a version dating from 2008. The 2009 versions do not seem to work with EM3
-
I'm not sure what you mean by that. There are installation instructions with the patch and they can also be found in the Technical Help FAQ. If you follow them you will notice only have to replace two files and change one file.

The default EM4 sirens are German. Especially the ambulance siren is very realistic.
-
You can find/share screenshots in the 'ingame screens topic' in the off-topic section.
-
Again the answer to that is in the FAQ. A codec is a program used to compress audio and video files. It sometimes interferes with the game.

That's scripted -
Only if you have the German, French or UK version of the game. All other versions do not need a patch. If you install a pacth your game might get corrupt. The French and German versions are easy to recognise, the UK version can be recognized by the missing ModInstaller. If you installed your game and you go to the default Emergency 3 folder there should be a program there called ModInstaller.exe If you do not have that program, then you have the UK version and you should install pacth 1.3

double click the updater.exe file and make sure you are connected to the internet.
-
It's not a direct X file it's called a DXDIAG file and you need to create it yourself before you can upload it. Start --> run --> type DXDIAG --> press enter --> save result. It's also mentioned in the FAQ. Judging from your log file I think you have a codec problem.

Right click the config file and see what accounts have the rights to alter that file. You can always acces the default admin account and try to alter it there. It isn't going to kill anyone.

@MT275: Grizzly was contacted. Thanx for helping us out. For everybody who is wondering what size his or her banners are: -Right click the picture and select propreties. -On the 'general' tab (first tab) you can see the size (number of bytes) and the dimensions (number of pixels, width x heigth). If you use two banners the maximum dimension is a heigth of 78 pixels per banner according to the TOS. Most banners are 80 pixels in heigth. So to make sure you do not have to resize those banners because they are two pixels too high we have decided to allow 80 pixels per banner as a maximum heigth if you use two banners. Those extra 4 pixels won't kill anyone.

[vehicle]Engine 7 Fire Department New York

Correct download link: http://www.mvaandering.nl/index.php?option...3&Itemid=53 @random: we appreciate you are trying to help, but please let the mods take care of operation sigpic. We send PM's to people in violation of the rules. So action could already be taken without other members knowing it. You can always post in the 'operation sigpic' topic or send a report if you want to check if a large signature was already known. It also prevents threads from going off-topic. -
Not entirely true, if you make the second digit the same the lights will work at the same time. But you are correct about the order and meaning of the numbers.
-
Maybe the acces to your config file is limited. Make sure al users and the administrator have acces rights to the file.
-
No, the contents of all files (both from you and the other players) needs to be exactly the same in order to play multiplayer. So you can't play with someone who has different patches then you.

Stan didn't make the mods, he just uploaded them that's why you see 'submitter: Stan' and 'mod by Stan' at nearly all the downloads. It means he is the one that submitted the file to the download centre. Not that he is the creator of the mod. The name of the creator is mentioned in 'other information' section (below the full description of the mod). The DDR mod was created by Bass-Ti and Ghost.

Deleted all the nonsens about no permissions to start a topic. You don't need permission to post on a forum after you've became a member. However, there already is an Italian mod being made and they still search people who want to help. Maybe it's not a bad idea to cooperate with each other and create one big Italian mod, just a thought.
