If you want to join a clan (which you don't have to do) then I would suggest just looking around the forums, Squad 55 is one that I know of, I believe they have their own mod out there as well. Hamachi LogMeIn is a VPN (or VPS) hosting client. It allows you to host games through different ports, meaning that you don't need to port-forward. (I found port forwarding quite simple and I would give it a go, as it allows you to host games which always attracts people!) Teamspeak is a way of communicating with other players, usually through a microphone. (Text is also supported but you could just use the in game for that). To use teampspeak you need to connect to a server. I have provided a link which will take you through the basics. http://www.instantteamspeak.com/support/teamspeak-3-connect-to-server.php Most clans and in fact most players, play the LA mod or some variation of that. If you don't have that I would recommend getting it ASAP and NOT modifying it in anyway. If you do modify it and someone else hasn't modified it EXACTLY the same way you have, you will NOT be able to play. I play multiplayer quite a lot on a range of mods. Please could you do a detailed tutorial for replacing units? Say for example I wanted to replace the LAPD Patrol Car with a NYPD Cruiser from the NY Mod? How would I go about renaming the files etc?

He's talking about mucking around with the GUI interface for windows I believe. It's actullay some quite basic programming, and if you want it like a MAC id bet my left ball that there's plenty of downloads out there. Hi guys! I'm not interested in starting up my own mod team at the moment nor start a new mod. In light of this I have decided to offer out my skills to do odd jobs for people, or if they want, join their modding team. I can: - Reskin (as a graphic design student this is my prefered role) - Add events to freeplay (nothing extremely complicated) - Add Lights - Basic Mapping - Small script tweaking (not from fresh, and I need to brush up on this) - Basic modding (file moving, collating etc) - BETA Testing Just leave a comment or PM me if its a wee secret!
