  1. wrong, they are deluxe events that should not appear on the other versions of em4
  2. You can't resize the floor in the editor. You need to limit the map with the borders. (You can that under map properties and then outer border). Other take look at one of the missions map to see what I mean.
  3. I don't agree with you on that one. There will be alot of animals in the new map, but I have figured out a solution to risticted the animals from walking on the street. So the problems that they are causing now are gone.
  4. NextGen news update So two month ago I started on the Next Generation of the freeplay map. NextGen will no be an update of the current version, but a brand new map. Why NextGen? well that’s simple, I will put as much details in the map as possible for a freeplay map. More cars, more people, more particles, more animals, more life in the map. In the current maps you will see a car passing by sometimes, there are streets in the maps without any cars on it, or only one-way, there are sidewalks without people. Yeah that’s quite funny when you think about it. But there is a reason for that. When the game was made, the pc where not that fast as these days. So with the newer, faster and better pc (and graphic cards) you can put a lot more detail in the maps. I have to say that I can't put that much in it as I want. I did some testing with alot of cars on the street and the game just can't handle to much cars. You only need one hick-up, a crossing cat, a small accident, and every street is blocked. So I am still searching the boundaries of the game, but I will get there. Ok these are all nice words, but what have I done so far.. All the city modeling is done, most of the traffic paths are done, but I am still fine tuning the amount of cars. All the traffic lights are up and running and the first pedestrians are walking around and I made all the streets for the pathfinder of the emergency vehicles . I think that I am at 50% of the map at the moment. All the small details will take a lot of time, not to mention that accidents and other events. Will it be finished before 2009? No, I don't think that I am going to make it. (plz don't make any conclusion about the map out of the screenshot, this is just where I am standing now. So you don't have to comment that you see a empty street or sidewalk) O and off course a new screenshot of the map.

  6. Depending on your version of EM4 it replaces the normal or the deluxe freeplay of the orginal game. If these happy birthday are for me.. then thnxs, but you guys are a few day's to late. Maybe maybe maybe I will release a screenshot of the new map tonight with a little update, but only if I have the time for it .

I have 95% of the modelling work done, and that about 20% of the total work for a new map (O and it took me around the 20 to 25 houre.. ) Currently working on laying the paths and streets. And just for the record, my study start again this saturday, so from then on I don't have that much time anymore. I am aming for a release before the christmas holliday's.
  8. damn, people allready crying over some lines.. I really don't care if these types of lines are used in the US or not. (It's normal in the EU). Besides that, 90% of the models in the game are EU based (the game is made in Germany you know ) So you probably would never see the villa's or other buildings that are used in the map in the US. The civils cars, there are totaly not US. So plz relaxe.. And @Command Rasseru: check your PM.
  9. We will see if it will fit in the map. But accidents are the last thing that I am going to do. But I am making slow progress. (And I can tell you that it is possible, done it before)
  10. Ehh, just wait untill the map is released. Trust me, that striped there are totaly correct. Ehh this isn't the hole map dude. only about 1/4 or less, so plz keep your comments to your self if you don't know where you talking about. Yes it indeed takes a lot of time to paint it, and no not a different texture pack. I made a lot of parts myself. Are you jealous or something??? Looks like you are only flaming on the map..
  11. *******New Update****** As I allready mentioned earlier, there won't be a 1.3 update of this map.. Why? Well this map is just a modified campaign map and that is bothering me. Itsn't really mine and the map isn't perfect. The highway is causing alot of problem, just like the little river trough the city. I have been working the last 2 or 3 weeks on something different. And it's going to take alot of time to finish but making a brand new map just takes time. Yeah you read it good, a brand new, well almost brand new, map. The map is new, no doubt about that, but I used parts of mission maps to speed up the proces. A combined 4 mission maps into one. It wasn't that easy as it sound, you just can't add the maps together, the streets won't fit and the city parts just don't look nice then. The current status of the map is that I almost finished with adding all the nessary streets etc (the underground / floor) and added almost all the models (building, streetlight, trafficlights, road sign, trees etc. except civils, cars and events) How does the map look like? Well there is no harbor and no airport. There is a larger trainstation, a big city, a small village contected to it, a "highway/B-road", bit of industry in the map, some forests, a park, o and a lake. I choosed not to add a harbor or airpot because of the amount of space that it takes compared with the amount of events that can happen. If you look at new freeplay map 1.x , there are almost no events at the airport or at the harbor (do not confuse the industry part of the harbor with the actual harbor) So the main focus of this map will be citylife. I really don't know when it's finished, so plz don't ask for it More info will follow A little preview:

  14. ok, You have allready downloaded the nessary files, unpack the files (the 2 .zip files) at for example your desktop. Then you have 3 files at the location where you unzipped the 2 zip files. newfreeplay.eft, freeplay.e4m, freeplay.dds. Well they are located in Los Angeles Mod v1.7\maps of the zip file. So if you unpack the zip file you get a folder Los Angeles Mod v1.7\maps and in that folder are the 3 ealier mentioned files. Copy these files to c:\program files\WizardWorks\911 - First Responders\Mods\mods\Los Angeles Mod v1.7\maps and say yes if you need to overwrite one or two files. Then start 911:FR, load the mod and start a new endless game. And no offence, but I you can't get it working now, maybe you can ask someone, in your family or a friend, with a bit more pc experience to help you? We can't make it more clear then this...

Download and unpack the New_Freeplay_Floor.zip file. (25mb's! large) (You have downloaded it now. So now unpack and continue following the staps )2. Move the folder 'Los Angeles Mod v1.7' to your Emergency 4/Mods folder. 3. This is a universal file, so it's for both versions and won't replace any file.

  21. the parking spots across the street are mansioned before and where the orginal plan, but I couldn't get work right at the time. The extra parking spots at the firestation is a custom script (witch I don't have).
  22. "It don't look nice", hmm well maybe I will fix it, but I am not to sure about that at the moment Well at moment I don't have plan's to release a 1.3 of this map.. And there is a good reason for that, but I will come back to that later this week.
