I am never, EVER buying a Dell again. Just thought I'd throw that our there. Also, my budget has expanded considerably with the realization that I could and should sell some of the stuff currently gathering dust in my room. Miercolini, I was looking at that one earlier and decided it was going to be a no. I was thinking perhaps one of the other Toshiba models, but I haven't done any particularly in-depth research. Redhawk, I wish I had the knowledge to put together a computer. I definitely would if I had the know-how, but I don't.

OK, so I'm looking to get a new laptop. A nice one, but it has to be cheap. $500 or under. 250+ GB of memory would be preferred. It would be used mainly for gaming. I was thinking maybe a Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5518, but I wanted some input from people who knew more about computers or had owned one. Any input is appreciated guys.

As I've already stated, National Park Service units will not be available in the base download, as there is no national park in Aiken County. They will be released separately.

My laptop is now being much better about it. Rescue 12 and Medic 5 are completed, but we're having problems getting them in-game. As soon as we get them in-game, I'll get some screenshots up here and see what I can do about a post in the repo thread.

Just a couple months ago, in a neighboring town, three men broke into a gun shop. The owner, who lived in a flat above the shop, heard the noise and went downstairs, armed with a rifle. Guess who ended up dead? Not the shop owner. Last I heard, two of the thugs died and one was in critical condition.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to say that there is no guarantee that an update will come this weekend. My laptop's been awful finicky about staying turned on. I'm going to try and transfer stuff over to my desktop, but no guarantees.

EMT-Basic, yes. OK, but first I have to explain how 911 works in my county. In my county, there are usually ten 911 ambulances operating. One ALS (which for us is a paramedic or an EMT-Intermediate) ambulance from my service, one ambulance from SouthStar EMS, a private service, one amulance from Capital City EMS, another private service, and seven from Aiken County EMS, the only non-private service in the county. Only the Aiken Rescue truck is necessarily ALS, although I think SouthStar and CapitalCity usually have ALS trucks. ACEMS does not require their trucks to be ALS. They also operate 1-3 QRVs, a quick response vehicle manned by a paramedic supervisor. On Aiken Rescue, the truck is manned by two people with EMS certifications: an ALS provider (paramedic or Intermediate) and another one of any certification level. In addition, there may be a driver on the truck, or a cadet, or a student, or a probationary member.

OK guys, as of today, progress on my end is basically back on track. There will be a BIG update in about a week with Fire and EMS units. Also, be watching the repo thread in the off-topic section! I'll be posting there within a week. Now, on to all these great ideas: Water rescue and boat fire is going to be a no. Aiken County has no particularly large areas of water that are used for boating. Not sure why we have a NPS car, as Aiken County does not contain a National Park....... The small plane crash, drug deal, and warrant ideas will definitely be looked into! Unfortunately, drugs are a big problem here in Aiken County and ACSO regularly executes arrest warrants. As to having MORE bank robberies and stolen vehicles, that'll probably be a no. Same goes for the hospital demonstation. The fire alarm will be looked into. I know it IS possible. Hmm.......it's a possibility, but it will not be a primary map. The primary map will be similar to the city of Aiken. Perhaps we'll make additional maps after the primary one is finished. Again, there is no National Park in Aiken, so idk why we have a NPS car...... We might try a storm mission...... We'll look into the no-driver script. The murder idea will be looked into, and the pileup will as well. The airline accident is less likely. As for the train accident, you have just given me an excellent idea. A few years ago, there was a major train wreck in Graniteville, with a release of chlorine gas. Perhaps we'll make a mission based off of it.

I'm with Aiken Rescue, Inc., a non-profit EMS agency located in Aiken County. aikenrescue.org We're taught skills that would be taught in a classroom setting if we were in EMT-B school. Includes CPR/AED, basic assessment, and BLS skills. When we turn 17 we get EVOC, too. We're not first-aiders so much as unqualified EMT-Bs. The only official certification we have is a CPR/first aid certification. We're allowed to practice at the EMT-B level as long as we are operating on one of our ambulances as a third man. We are not allowed to be second man. It's certainly interesting, from the how it feels perspective. We ride as the third man on a 911 ambulance in a relatively busy area. We average four calls in an 8-hour shift, even though that's nothing compared to other parts of the U.S.

I've played both Oblivion and Skyrim. I like Oblivion better, but it is highly likely that that has more to do with my PC's specs than the gameplay.

Not an SJA cadet, or even in England for that matter, but I am an American EMS cadet. I would've called for a bus and then gone through what Entonox did below. Along with asking about any kind of trauma and doing a primary assessment.

It'd probably be easier to add the redirect command to FFs, but why not have to call PD? Seeing as we go for a more realistic approach, PD should be on scene for all MVAs.
