Just a heads up the Harbor City Mod is now up on the download page, go check it out.

Well whenever you get to that point I'd be interested in helping out if you choose so. If not, Ill look forward to the release.

Sounds good. For one of the submods I play a lot I switch the freeplay map to the w00ds map (second edition) and I enjoy it quite a bit. A word of warning if yo do you it, be sure to do some testing and be prepared to edit some spawn points (and other traffic related things). The traffic can get really really bad and cause some huge back-ups if you don't tone it down. Took me some time to get it to a good level of traffic that usually doesn't cause serious back ups.

First off great work so far, I've been keeping my eye on this topic since the beginning and it is progressing very nicely and looks great. Secondly I re-read through the topic and while there were talks of ideas for the map I didn't see anything that looked concrete. So if you don't mind me asking what is the plan for the map in the first release? Is it going to be the standard LA Mod map, a modified version of that map, or different map?

No one is suggesting he read through all 26 pages. While squamish may have been a bit hostile, he has a valid point. Simply reading back into the topic would reveal that this is a common issue and was addressed last on page 24. Took me 30 seconds to find it. To be fair I have been following the topic so I am familiar with it, but even for someone not familiar with it, it wouldn't have taken more than 5 minutes. Perhaps in the future people can take 15mins to read back 4-5 pages it will save some time and clutter in the topic. Perhaps Ghost could add a bug list for the current version on the main page. I digress, back on topic. The jackets look great. Maybe you could add a hi-vis strip to the back of the collar. That seems to be somewhat common on police jackets I've seen.

Haha sorry for ruining it. But I'm glad it will be included. And yes I was thinking about 112 Egmond

I'm assuming there is going to be a beach section of the map. Have you considered making the only accessible to certain vehicles (ie the buggies, lifeguard trucks and police suvs)? I saw this in another mod and it was pretty well executed and added an extra dynamic to the game because really had to think before sending your units out. Just a thought, keep up the good work.

Those lights look amazing

Cool. Just a little constructive criticism. Some of your skins look a little rough. For example the skin of the police car, the front of the strip is all over the place. Keep working on reskinning and I'm sure you can make them look even better. Not sure what program you are using to do the reskinning but maybe look into upgrading to a better program that allows you to do more and produce crisper looking units.

I believe there would have to be some sort of scripting because then cops would get their ass kicked all the time. It would need to fluctuate so it would be a toss up of whether the cop would be able to get the person under control or not before they take too much damage. If that is possible maybe it could be scripted so more than one cop could try to arrest a suspect at one time. More cops (to a certain extent, we don't need 30 cops trying to arrest someone, maybe 4-5) would equal more likely of a chance of arresting the guy without the cops getting too hurt. This would mean more then just sending out a lone cruiser to a violent call for a better chance of successfully completing it, and make the game more realistic.
