  1. To add to mike's blurb, I run another site, sorta a game clan, it's dependant of other members, so i expect you to be active if you're going to join it. Obviously how active you can be depends on wher eyou make it in the game world. That's why I have my site open for people to see. I let everyone come in, and see how things are done, how they work and how much time you need to place in, what you need to do etc. That way people can choose if they can actually do it or not
  2. If they need more firefighters at a scene, the bring fire trucks. Youtube "Fire SUV" and then listen to it.... Replace SUV with van, and you'll realise that it is pointless for actual firefighting
  3. Point 1: You can make a new object that will create a headlight type effect for the person when they have it. There are many ways to go about this, they all require scripts though. The easiest way lacks getting to use a get flashlight command, but is just to give the person a floodlight command, and place a special light on him, so when you press the floodlight command it turns on the light. Haven't tested it, but I do believe it would work... At least from memory. Point 2: That's a lot of scripting and modelling, for the extra asethitic appeal, it's not worth it. Point 3: Rocket launchers are possible I think, but to use a regular weapon, it's not worth the damage it'd cause. Point 4: Again, in theory yes, but practically, it's useless. Point 5: That's a lot of scripting to make every unit in the game driveable. Looks to me like you want GTA but sadly for you, this game isn't GTA. Buy GTA, and download an ASI loader, get some mods and play the game, you cannot make this into GTA. For the effort it'd take to do it, there will be another GTA by then.
  4. Problem is the base game is in Europe, ours is in New York, which means different everything, from buildings, to decorations, to the paint on the roads.
  5. I think Hoppah was thinking about adding some scripts we did in the NY mod to the LA mod, but I'm pretty sure it's not being revived, since he retired for a reason, and starting so that it's getting totally updated would require restarting the mod almost Minor Cosmetic changes take ages
  6. I'll start one for the next version, just explaining full use of everything in the game, for those who don't know a thing about NY systems 1. They leave because if they get hurt, you don't want near dead men sitting in the truck, plus it's realistic. 2. Yes, when you call more than one of certain vehicles,such as RMPs, ESU SUVs, and HWY RMPs off of the map, they randomly spawn a different one. It's to let you guys have different towys while at the same time not cluttering the menu 3. We're working on adding a nice heliport to the map, don't you worry(PS By we, I mean me )
  7. the first is a High Rise Unit/ reserve rescue unit, which could be as easy as some equipment and skinning changes. This unit could also be skinned for use as another hazmat unit, mobile command unit, collapse rescue. High rises cannot exist in game, and we won't be making other units out of said unit simply because they already exist in a real form, so creating ones wouldn't be neccessary. The Res1cue has everything that we could put in game for that kinda thing anyways The second would be a NYP ambulance, New York Presbyterian Hospital is the largest hospital based EMS service in NYC, operating out of 10 hospitals with both ALS and BLS ambulances. Other ambulances have been spoken about, we didn't have sufficient uniform and unit pics Third is an FDNY Haz Tac ambulance, these ambulances, in addition to their normal 911 call volume are trained as hazmat tech.'s and provide medical care and decon to contaminated individuals. i believe this would be useful in the game so that if an individual is injured you could just load and go with the ambulance being the decon unit, in turn, you could have EMS haz mat persons that can treat injured in the hot zone without becoming contaminated. to tell the difference between the two ( regular and HAZ Tac Medics) you could make the haz tac medics have blue chemical suits. We were planning that but omitted it for one reason or another. I think we replaced that with hazmat compnay no 1
  8. We may look at adding in Auxiliary later on, however since they're tasks are already covered, then it is not as much a neccesity. As for the other amublances, feel free to post or message myself or MikeyPI the pictures of the ambulances AND the personnel on the in uniform, so we can get them right the first time

Any computer can be upgraded to an extent, however I recommend getting it done professionally, since if they mess it up, you get it replaced for free, whereas if you mess it up, you're out a computer. Lagging is when the game seems like it's dragging, or stalling. Nice smooth gameplay is what we all want, if it gets so it is choppy, slow gameplay, then it's lagging, and you'll wanna drop your settings to something lower until it stops lagging

It will be great to see chase script on the HP cars, That is on the docket I do believe NYPD precinct patrol and traffic vans, Adding that in would not realy add much in the way of gameplay, however we may think about it, simply for the reason of variety for HP officers - special uniform, In the works I do believe green reflective vests for HP patrol, Possibly will accompany the HWY uniforms increase speed for chargers, Actually, according to a little check I just did, the charger can go about as fast as the rest of the regular police vehicles in service auxilliary police, Realistically, they wouldn't serve much purpose, since we've got Traffic for traffic, and regular for regular. If Aux does something special though that regular NYPD doesn't do, or that we don't have covered, then please enlighten me, as it's not out the range of possibilities I've overlooked that may be FSD units ('cause it's very to repair police cars it can make mod more real) We're looking at other ways to repair vehicles on map, similar to the fire station repair options, but in real life, youseldom see the FSD repairing cars in field for teh kinda damage they take in this game

According to the UFA, The FDNY Engines have 4or5 on them, depending on what the commissioner says based on absenteeism and whatnot Ladder companies do carry 6 members, however for the sake of this game, it'd be rather pointless to have 6 on board, as i personally can barely find use for four in most calls.
  12. Yes it should work, start by setting everything on low, then try to up settings until you reach the maximum point at where the game is lagging.
  13. chp crown vic, In game already chp slicktop, Reskin the LAPD Police car a white chp crown vic, likewise a command post for checkpoints or big occasions/accidents, Reskinning of the FBI command post could work, or if you're gonna do the SUV one, then you need to model. and a white dodge charger(with a vector or L.e.d bar) and possibly an all white slicktop dodge charger Reskin the charger?
  14. Then you have one of three errors. First, do the clear download cache, then redownload, try again, and save the rar for the love of god. Second, you downloaded an atari version, in that case, it's the company that you have to take it up with, we can't do anything about it Third, you've downloaded a copy of the game illegally, and therefore the mod installer doesn't work. We won't be releasing the mod in any other file type except the e4mod file, so if you cannot open that with your modinstaller, becuase your modinstaller doesn't work, but a legit version.
  15. Hospitals usually don't have fences all around them, unless it's a mental hospital. Our hospital is an open in the city hospital. Mikey did the research for this hospital. The hospital will be getting a sign or two for the NEXT version, but not as an addition to the patch.

  17. Squad 61 in the NYC mod is meant to be basically a total unit it's the cheat unit, does everything of Engine and rescue, just without the boat
  18. More than likely, he downloaded a torrent copy of it, since yeah it runs at three grand, and very few people can actually afford a couple thousand for a sometimes hobby when there are alternatives out there for 25 bucks or less
  19. This is one reason we excluded it, but also because the hazmat team roles as a team, not a singleunit. All units like that are going to remain called off map Correction, not based off of the LA mod, but following the same sorta rules to it. The two mods only share some authors, not anything else in the game.

  21. To be honest, I don't know.. We haven't tested it, nor made any real efforts to even play or make it accessible in multiplayer. For the first version we just wanted a single player version. Will the vehicles work? Some of them definately will. Will some functions not work? For sur. MP is still unsupported, as we haven't really tried to make it work yet
  22. To Those wanting the NY Mod, it's been made into an E4Mod file, so you need to use the modinstaller. If you have a corrupt game, or pirated, it probably won't work too well.. Solution, reinstall the game, or buy it. If you bought it and reinstalling does nothing, contact the seller

  23. Yes, congratulaions, it also works if you press shift and send a unit to a location, it'll barmp. The horn basically just clears people out of the way, like a real horn would do, they all go running to let you through And in regards to the extra barricades, no plans for any other units outside of the DCU have been made to have barricades You place the person in the custody of a hazmat firefighter, the get in the truck with them, they'll decon in there. The Water cannon is planned for a later Version , under a different function than current WaWe, it'll be script heavy, that's why it was excluded in version 1. Missions will come later, though right now, it's just the basic ones.
  24. WE try to keep constructive, but with people stealing models, breaking rules, and just annoying authors, sometimes we've got to be the bad guy. If people come on asking for help, then we offer it, if people come on demanding we do something for them, we let them know it doesn't work like that.
