  1. My question is what do you do?
  2. To release vehicles, you need the prototypes, the models, the garage files (so you can call them in Freeplay) and then you're good. For maps, it's just the map file (texture and the map) and any special objects that aren't already in the mod/game
  3. Eh, I dunno, I find that it's really rather pointless that the monarchy still plays a role in the government. In Canada, it's required we have an appointed representative at a federal AND provincial level of the queen. Technically, they leader of Canada is the Governor General, not the Prime Minister
  4. You have to add that helicopter, then the scripts for it. Don't forget the important things, you know, like adding it to freeplay, etc. And no, if you want one thing, you need to get the full mod
  5. I'm still hoping that Charles (if he ever becomes king) ends the monarchy. It's really pointless. Totally.
  6. My thoughts exactly. This really just seems like another Quebec thing. Wanting independance, but in reality not really being able to do it. Scotland has been a part of England now for hundreds of years, and just cause they want to say, We're ready to leave now, doesn't mean they are actually ready. As I've learned from Quebec's numerous attempts (3 I think) you've gotta look at three things, first, if leaving will create shit in the way of logistics. Right now, the Churchill Falls project is worth something like a couple hundred million or more a year. If they left Canada, then the contract would be voided, and Newfoundland would take that back, since it was made with the Province of Quebec, not the country. I would imagine that this would be the case of similar set ups in Scotland/UK. The next is can you really support yourselves? A lot of entities are fine in a team, but if they broke off, well hot damn, they'd die off really quick, because the rely on things from taxes, to deals. From my understanding Scotland contributes a lot, but also takes a lot from the group money share (that's what I'm calling it.) There seems to be a concern that leaving works financially on paper, but not in reality... From my understanding as well, a lot of the emergency services are part of the National thing in the UK, and my next question is would it still be feasible, would things like the NHS disappear? Newfoundland has that problem. If we ever left Canada (which we don't want to), there would be very few places in the province with police services, as most of the province's police are RCMP. And honestly, I doubt that the treasury would be able to fund the expansion of the RNC enough to cover the full province as primary police services. The final thing you need to look at is do people really want to be citizens of Scotland instead of the United Kingdom. Five hundred years ago, it might've been important, but now, no one really knows what's on the go over there (Scotland is a nation state, but it's part of the UK, which is the country ) so that one might not hurt too much. Sometimes the country's name helps sell a lot better than the actual country. Oh, this is Canadian, instead of Oh, this is from Newfoundland Seems to me the SNP is a huge amount like the BQ in Canada, and I'd want to see a third party's review of all their statements before supporting them

I think he holds a special place in everyone's heart. Why didn't he run for 2012 US President?
  8. Okay, you're on a preview until you learn to spell. From now on, every post you make must be proof read by a moderator, you'll get back your right to post on your own when you learn to spell.
  9. I don't remember if I said this already or not, but a friend of mine is in the Community services branch of the RNC here, and every day, she goes to one of the schools in her jurisdiction to visit the kids, not to teach them right from wrong, just to teach them that police officers aren't bad. This is essentially all she does for an hour or more every day
  10. Personally, I think part of the problem is with the parents. We're taught from a young age that cops are there to enforce only. I can't count how many times I've heard someone say to their kid, "Do this, or I'm calling the cops and they'll take you away." Unbeknownst to them, they are actually quite a few problems they're creating, one they aren't teaching discipline, they're just teaching fear of police. You start fearing them, but as you age, you learn to just not like them Sometimes people think, eh, so what. Mind you, these people could've been just scared senseless, but then again, I like my first one
  11. CANT WAIT TO BAN YOU... NOT!!! Oh wait, no I really can't wait.. I promise, next post you do like this, you're gone
  12. For the record, your account has been tagged, and I will be permanently closing and removing all topics of yours for mods unless you can show some progress. They are right, you have so far started 6 different mods that I could find, none of which have showed ANY progress. So until further notice, this topic, as well as every future one you make for a mod will be permanently closed because you don't understand that a WIP has some work to be shown... And here's a tip, if you don't have anything to show off, don't start a topic.

Well I was really thinking they would've just said no to the Thompson, I mean that's an older weapon now. I think they'd rather give you something like an M16 or a bazooka
  14. This is a sad, sad day. I feel that this is going to suffer, badly. How about we do this: Present something or the topic gets closed? Oh but wait, I can't do that, you think I'm being unfair and crazy? Oh, but I can, because this is for submods, not for discussing LA emergency services, so if we don't have something that's in the works, or to show off, let's just call it quits, eh?
  15. The most popular means of fighting oil and oil deritive fires is foam, it's cheap, easy and effective. Sand like stuff is the kinda stuff you'll see in smaller devices, such as some fire extinguishers, using this on a large scale would be hard to do. As for explosives, they're only used when it's them, or millions of lives, as there is so much potential for it going bad.
  16. Why no water on the fires? It's a gas fire, which is not one that water's useful on As for the cut off, however gas is sometimes harder to cut off that water, at least in my experience
  17. Quite frankly, I don't really buy anything apple, mainly because I feel it's not what it was intended to be originally. Steve Wozniak created apple (no, not jobs, Wozniak created it, Jobs just marketted it) to be a computer for all, and it's since become a computer for everyone, run by one man's ideals... Which kinda locks out the use. I believe strongly in generative technology, allowing the advancement of us with our tech, but by limiting changes to apple approved only, it doesn't allow the full potential... VisiCalc, the first spreasheet (think excel) is what made Apple successful originally, and they had no idea it existed until after their sales soared, and they were told by someone else... Now nothing goes by without their watchful eye.
  18. I'm 95% sure we had a conversation about signatures before*. I'm removing yours right now, and I will not be so kind to just remove it next time. I count four images, all over the limit by themselves. If I have to edit your signature again, I'll gladly turn off all abilities and give a special warning. *Even if not, you've been here long enough to understand the rules, and if you don't know them, ignorance is no excuse, you agreed to them, and if you don't like them, we'll gladly terminate your account by request
  19. I concur... I'll report it so a moderator can lock it
  20. The only way I could see venting helping slow the fire down would to be giving it some kinda extinguishing ability once it's activated.. The only problem is you can't really tweak that to my knowledge. The only other way I could see making venting necessary without re-creating freeplay would be to have it as an object that is very flamable, but not so easy to extinguish, and if it's burning, you can "use" it and open it, which would function the same as extinguishing, that could allow the venting to be necessary in the way of fully clearing a call.
  21. As a former president of the united states, the USSS won't let me touch his account or posts, he kinda just runs wild here every so often. Those damn soviets had him drove loopy, I can't blame him for passing the favour on
  22. 1. This is something the NY mod team has been experimenting with. Though they recreated freeplay with a mission script, so that's different 2. Theoretically, it is possible, possibily creating a human holding a ladder that works like a ladder truck with no water 3. To adjust the fire extinguishing capabilities is beyond that of this game 4. You could create more injuries by organizing fires more designed on the map, however all injuries would appear to be the same, so it's up to you to pretend the cause. 5. In missions, certain structures have a virtual object that states if a fire is burning, only SCBA firefighters can enter without injury. I don't think anyone tried this with freeplay 6. That's something related to the game. You've gotta send someone in before them, and then click move to position them inside 7. Winterberg is essentially a recreation of freeplay using mission scripts from what I can tell. This means that it is not possible to recreate in freeplay. No one bothered putting it in their mod, as they figured that it would be too much trouble for the twenty or so missions people SOMETIMES play
