I would interject with a speech on how to give constructive criticism and what not, but I'll save some time here, as it seems Freelancer did it without playing moderator, or being a douchenugget. I'm all for making sure we don't have mods full of crappy stuff, but be nice about saying it, else you'll get no mods at all.

AMR project [in Progress] [Needs a Team]
Newfoundking replied to American Medical Response's topic in Submods [Not released]
I think it's safe to say no, no he doesn't. The mod hasn't had a post in oh say, four months or so. Let's leave the dead horse to rot in peace shall we? -
Sober NFK is debating why drunk newfoundking didn't just ban all of you last night and make an example. This will serve as a warning. No more spamming, else I will be forced to put some limits in place.
-
is far to drunk to moderate. I tried, and I got one spammer killed. The rest are for sober me or the rest of the staff. I have failed in my duties. Oh well *drinks more*

I was fully together. Notice how I refused to moderate intoxicated? No bans were made because of my smart decision. Don't drink and moderate.

All ambulances attempt returning. I think we're actually flirting with the idea of removing the hospital all together, or at least changing it drastically.

My first question is what will you do? If you just plan on giving ideas, aka orders, then I suggest you list the pay rates as well, since that's pretty important when recruiting staff for an unknown company Going rates from what I have seen are as follows: lighting: Usually about $10-$50 per unit, depending on the vehicle. Most will quote you before Modding In general? Those tend to go for salaries way above your pay scale, so I won't even offer that as a list. It's like a mall hiring a top private security firm to act as mall cops. May be very functional, but not cost effective Modeling: (Assuming you mean 3D models) Usually around $20 per 1000 polys. Slightly more if you want skins modeling: (Assuming you mean posing) Going rates can go from them paying you, to $1000/hr. Their name really decides the cost. Texture Artists: Depending on the size of the vehicle, you're looking at between $15-$40 an object sound: For sounds, you're looking at a rate between $6-$30 per sound, depending on the length, quality, and relative availability of sound clips and everything else: No comment

OH MY GOD. I TOTALLY KNOW YOUR SITUATION! However screaming at us won't really do much. If you downloaded it off of Amazon, contact them for assistance with it, or be a little more descriptive with "it won't work" and we can attempt to assist you.

Hey, I'm having a bit of trouble on something I have been working on lately, that being that my php page is not properly fetching the information from the database. Ideally, this is what is supposed to happen: The page is loaded and checks the database, fetching the table and posting it. Unfortunately, although it accesses the database, it doesn't post anything. At all! Suggestions? Anyone wanna help me out?

Just so it's clear, all snow plows will be purely aesthetic. It's impossible under the game's system to have dynamic snow. All snow that falls will be static and cannot be plowed as it would be in real life. Theoretically, we could create a script like that, but it would take thousands and thousands of lines, months of work, and in the end would be terribly buggy at best, and make the game very unstable for something that most people wouldn't even notice, and probably would want disabled. (who wants to fail a call because a road wasn't plowed)

That's an Israeli Bomb Disposal Unit. I recognized the writing on the back as Hebrew, and the logo as the universal EOD symbol apparently. A google search then lead me to discover that this matched the Israeli Police EOD's unit. I don't know where in Israel it is based, but I know this much -

Greater Manchester Police firearms unit? In well England/Wales, Greater Manchester It's like a SWAT team vehicle, well sorta. It's basically armed response, since regular cops don't carry in England, because they're not so gun happy over there -

RAF vehicles, similar to every other military group have identification markings. I just googled "RAF" and the little ID number on it, XZ 596, and this was one of the results it returned: RAF Rescue Westland Sea King Helicopter XZ 596 approaching Newcastle Airport -
So an update on what I've been working on: I hate the current stretcher system, the default one that is, and I always have. I'm in the process of putting the carry script into the mod that was developed by some german coder from emergency-forum.de. I am finishing up the municipal police department, as well as the other rockport city services I've began the process of adding in some chargers into the mod, as I can't see a single one in service, despite it being a widely used police car in the game I've also started dabbling in adding in a random unit script like was used in the NYC mod with Mikey, Hoppah and myself. That will prevent 6 of the same unit, less a few small changes, from appearing in your freeplaygarage This is in addition to a few other things I have already finished, like the coat script and the light tweaks. I'm kinda doing all these things on my own and submitting them to Ghost as I go through, so I have run almost all of these past him, however just because I've started working on something doesn't mean it'll be the final product

Looking at realism, I'd say the top is more likely. Planes tend to keep to the white, or even in some cases, polished aluminum because of the massive amount of weight added on by paint. I think one coat of paint can add like 500 or more pounds to your average jet

First of all, that infographic cannot be trusted. I've seen three others with different statistics. Secondly, the biggest problem I see is that guns are seen as the answer to the gun problem. Quote one, I'm assuming you mean colleagues, and not colleges. If not, please explain this quote. Quote two, again with the grammar, but looking at the effectiveness of each weapon. A car is made for transport, secondary use is a weapon. It can do a lot of damage easily. A bat is secondary as a weapon, but even up close, it takes a lot of effort and time to kill one person. Likewise with a bottle. Poison when weaponized (most poison has other uses) can be very effective, thus the prohibition. Guns are primarily a weapon and can kill many effortlessly

Issues utilizing HD TV for monitor
Newfoundking replied to holyorangejuice's topic in Technical Related Support
I know that some people have had problems because they were using a resolution that was way to high for the game to handle, or in some cases, may have been way to low for the monitor to handle. -
The problem with background checks and even vouching for ownership is that you won't always know enough about everyone to vouch for their sanity, or even their real character. Very few people in the world have another person who knows all of their deep and dark secrets, especially ones which could get them put in jail or other mental institutions, so they tend to hide those, and they do this well. "I was married to a XYZ for ten years and had no idea" In fact, most people will die with this stuff unknown unless they go down in a blaze of mess, and the police haul their life apart.
