Wow. There wasn't a single punctuation mark until the end, at which you seem to have placed a copious amount to make up for the earlier ones. If you're that panicky you can't be bother with punctuation, perhaps we cannot help. Delete the mod file that you downloaded, clear your browser cache (not history, it's a different thing) and reboot your computer. Then download it.

New stretcher crew crashes editor
Newfoundking replied to Chris07's topic in Modding Related Support
Weird. I made new paramedics for the Rockport mod, same names and everything... Anywho: If you've replicated this issue, it could be a corrupt v3o, or a corrupt prototype (my bet is the latter) as I've had them both happen before. Like Hoppah said, post the logfile and we can identify the exact issue, or maybe you can do it yourself. Worst case scenario, just remake it all (shift-delete the original files, and start over). If it still gives you trouble, then your computer is possessed and must be destroyed (not really...) -
Low and behold, it's time for a moderator to intervene. I like that word. Inter-veen. Anywho, let's take a look-see, shall we? First, we have a thread resurrector here. Although technically, it's against the rules, he did pose a valid question about something, so it's a grey area. Fair enough, you see a page that says Activate Website, and upgrade to advance, as well as an add days button. Not through the fault of the MERU folks, it's enjin's page, but it is still confusing to someone who doesn't quite understand it all. Here is a bit of a saucy (I don't know if anyone else uses that word other than us Newfoundlanders. It has a definition that is right when you google it though) remark, and it doesn't really help at all. Ah, okay, someone who provides a nice answer, and expresses some sort of concern as to why there is a fear of charge. Sounds like a Press Release from a big corporation. Okay, another saucy remark. Not quite a fight instigation, but it is getting a tad unpleasant here. At this point, I'd just walk away, but alas, my job here is to stay. He clearly doesn't understand, so the current post beneath kinda answers that. There was a misuse of grammar, so I had to fix it up. Now, if we look at your post, we see a part that buddy above you editted out. Good thing he can't edit YOUR posts. For those of you watching at home Its seems to me you still don't understand this, so I will explain clearly in detail. This is what I'm talking about. Yeah, that's kinda rude, and could be taken as such. Obviously, you don't like the Manhattan team, and they don't like you, for whatever reason. I don't care. Play nice, or play somewhere else. I HATE having to clean up messes from people unable to contain themselves. Although one could argue that the other guy was asking for it with that comment, YOU started the fight. That part could've been dropped too buddy If you're looking to start a fight (anyone) don't do it on this site, you will regret it. I've issued appropriate warnings throughout, and let's keep it simple henceforth, shall we?

Luke Skywalker is a Terrorist. The Jedi Rebellion? Nothing more than the Empire's version of al Qaeda.

No more magic water down there? If not, Russia has a never ending surprise

Honestly, I hate these games where you have to micro manage every aspect of life for these guys. Oh crap, there's a fire and ten melting humans, but shoot, your firefighters didn't have enough arcade games to keep them happy, so they won't save lives tonight. Oh well. Person fondu. Yeah, how about no. I want to take over the team assuming that they don't care that they just spent two hours watching TV, or for all I care, sitting in full SCBA and gear, waiting for a call in the truck, and I just want them to do what they're paid to do.

Or worse, he could be a thread resurrecting demon... Oh wait, that's not him

Has anyone tried to do a STEAMPUNK mod?
Newfoundking replied to n00bingtarget's topic in General Talk
They are steamenginge vehicles, not steampunk. Just a little different The amount of work it'd take to create this kinda stuff would turn most modders away. Most people want the basic, known stuff they can run with, not having to recreate EVERYTHING in a fictional setting -
I think you mean, damn this game looks like Emergency 4 I'm sure others have noted this, but this confirms it: The game is a newer version of emergency 4 with added aspects of the sims. Personally, I think the latter may be a little detrimental, but I digress

It's looking more and more promising, I probably will actually end up buying the console version of it after all

Because I'm awesome, it's approved. I accept thankyous in booze (nice bottles only) and money. Recently I received a letter telling me I was not allowed to accept other people as gratuities for my work

If I have to come back here and deal with this he said she said crap, I'll be much less lenient. How about no one is fighting, nor is anyone going to say anything about this little crap flinging. Deal?

I'm involved in Search and Rescue and we do not have sirens on our personal vehicles. We do have stickers in the front and rear windows, mostly for the police (they tend to let us travel a bit faster if we've got the stickers) and they identify our vehicles so we can get into crime scenes. There's only one member with sirens on his vehicle, and he's considered "the chief" by law, so he can run sirens and lights, but even he doesn't use them that often, as it doesn't really do much in the way of traffic clearing.

Newfoundland doesn't restrict light colors, especially blue, and is commonly seen on snow plows, contractors and utility vehicles. BC volunteers not having lights can be better explained below. The majority of studies I've seen show a complete disagreement with volunteer POV lights. In many rural settings, or settings where there would be volunteer response vehicles, there are very few traffic lights and major intersections. There's a volunteer fire department here that covers a semi-rural area. That area has two traffic light intersections. Realistically, few people EVER make a full stop at stop signs, and will do what is known as a "rolling stop." Also, most cops won't pull you over for anything less than 10 over the limit, which is usually the upper limit on emergency vehicles' speed. I'm not strongly opposed to it, but I will explain why I disagree with it. There is VERY few intersections, so a red light will not do anything that will be noticeable. Most studies show a speed of arrival of seconds or less faster, if at all for siren running POVs Many people driving POVs with sirens tend to think they're police cars, and will speed, blow intersections and do dangerous things. Trust me, I have seen it. The majority of wrecks involving Volunteer responders, including POVs as well as regular emergency vehicles, are POVs with sirens doing stupid things Insurance often freaks out and will wanna double or triple rates, as emergency vehicles have higher insurance rates than private vehicles A red light isn't a reward, it's a tool to respond. Anyone that thinks getting allowance to use it is a reward shouldn't be doing it.

Canada varies by province to province. Most provinces do not have restrictions on lights, other than no reds. There is one province that allows reds and sirens for volunteers though. I can't recall which one. Some places reserve green for volunteer POV courtesy lights, like Nova Scotia, and others have no legal restrictions, like here in Newfoundland. Now mind you, I it's completely legal to run blues on any vehicle in Newfoundland, however some departments will say don't do it anyways. Finally, as far as I know, all volunteer chiefs are allowed to use red lights and sirens

Squamishfire is correct in his observation. Although there's not really a law saying no blue, as there is in places like New York, it's kind of understood that blue is for government vehicles, contractors, or police, at least in Ontario and the Atlantic provinces. Blue on EMS seems to be more of an American thing

I don't like ignorant little brats.

Just to clarify on those curious with the way brush fires work, if it's within a city boundary, or any municipal one, then it is the fire authority's responsibility. Now if it's outside of a city area, it usually gets handled just by water bomber. It's very rare that you see a lot of wildland firefighting, since due to our location in the world, we don't exactly have the kind of fires that are seen in places like LA County. That being said, we do have wildfires similar to that, but they're usually in national parks, and they are then handled by the national park authority.

I've asked to receive a prerelease copy, so I can do up some promotion material for the mod and what not, and probably add some special touches. One of them will be to change the charger speed to 800, which is about one map width (straight line, no traffic) in four seconds or less. They probably won't accept that, but I'd say there will be some sort of speed difference, as cars do tend to travel faster than vans. Checked online: Sprinter top speed: 138 Km per hour (86 mph for my uncivilized American neighbours who refuse to use the metric system) Dodge Charger Top speed: 281 Km per hour (175 mph for the aforementioned imperial system users) Although I don't think either ever reaches those speeds, it does demonstrate a roughly doubled speed, that I imagine will be reflected in the mod (not double speed, but perhaps one at 35 the other at 50)

Seriously? No, you must be kidding. I'm on candid camera or something, right? Now although you didn't really jump in, it was shut down, but you just wouldn't listen. Here's a public announcement. Next person to post anything not related to the RCMP mod in this topic will receive the exact same punishment that's in big bold letters. As for Heyjoojoo, you've received your private notification on what's gonna happen with you.

Yeah, they did the same thing on the news tonight. They warned graphic, which usually means a little blood or something like that. They were very bad.

As voodoo, and others I'm sure have mentioned, when there is civil unrest* as there is in the United States, the nutjobs tend to start blowing things up. I'm pretty sure everyone has agreed that this wasn't an accidental explosion, but instead a bombing. Based on what I've seen, it's more than likely a homegrown terrorist, similar to the Unabomber, as the explosion occurred at a much less populated area, as well as in a building, which is more than likely a spot they could easily access. I'm not a police officer in boston, so I know no more than the media is showing, but fortunately, the explosion was at the finish line, and not the start line, as there were substantially less people there than there would've been if it was the starting line (all the runners at the same time for instance) Unfortunately, there is going to be a huge amount of paranoia over the next while, lots of people are going to be on edge, and you're going to hear a lot of confusion on other potential threats that will be nothing. I'd say until the person responsible is caught, there will be a lot of this trouble. My heart goes out to the hundred plus injured, the dead, and of course all those affected by this tragedy. EDIT: *Civil unrest doesn't mean civil war. It means conflict between the civilian population and the government. With gun control, as well as other controversial topics facing the government at this time, there is a lot of opposition. Look at the unabomber, that was all over a person getting upset with urbanization.
