[WIP] Manhattan Modification [The Upper East Side] *New Video*
Newfoundking replied to Dyson's topic in Mods
Hi, just an update. If my site doesn't show the page, because of a 500 error, just refresh. It allocates new resources every couple minutes, so you'll be fine. Refresh a few times, it'll be good -
In regards to map making, I really wouldn't advise doing that first off. Seriously, that stuff is the most complicated part, not to mention most time consuming. Work with a map that's already been released and done, and you'll save yourself a tonne of headaches in the future. You've gotta understand textures, calls, scripts, Virtual objects, triggers, traffic, streets and more to get a successful map working

OR, you could just bring the bomb squad guy in to search for and diffuse IEDs? Go to the download centre, and download the mod

Seriously guys? Now I think you're doing this just to screw with me

This has been a big issue I've noticed lately, receiving many reports on double, triple and sometimes more posting in a row. We get it, you have a lot to say. Here's a checklist If you answer yes, continue to the next question, if you answer no, you can post Was I the last person to post in this thread? Was my last post less than 2 weeks ago?Is this just regular information (as opposed to world shattering information) you have to share?I just spent half an hour merging posts for people, but from hereforward, I'm going to just delete double posts. It's a little quicker, and I think it'll help prevent further messes. Any questions, please ask them here. (unless the question is, is it okay to double post, in which case, the answer is probably no)

You go after the guy with the baseball bat. Disarm him, and detain him, then proceed to go after the original perp. As the original fellow was being beaten, the secondary is now the target.

You know, we don't have anything at all like that here. I mean, if you're in a scouting group or whatever, any of the emergency stations will be happy to show you around and what not, I mean in the past six months, I've spent a good solid month of nights in the station with these kids showin em around and explaining what we do, but there's no program where they actually learn. The closet I can actually think of is groups like scouts and what not will come up with half a dozen or so of the guys from my squad and we'll run em through basic stuff on what we do, from techniques to the cool stuff, like boats and he-los. But that's only like a week up at a camp. From what I've seen, these types of cadet things are very common in the states, but not so much here. We do have Army/Sea/Air cadets, but no emergency services... Thoughts?

I've taken a look at the pumper 11 unit. The one you have currently is not accurately reflective. I'd recommend either naming it as ERT Engine, as the spare appears to be labelled OR use the current P11 model, by using the higher topped engine from the LA Mod. It's kinda hard to read, but it looks as if the "ERT" on the front door is written in Comic Sans, or similar, whereas the ERT's image shows more of an Impact type font. Also, P-11 is on the middle window, not the back window. Since we're not looking at models, instead skins, I'd also say you could redo the doors on the back, to match the layout more like the original, as opposed to the LA Model. Ladder one that you currently have in use appears to be the spare. Now since a midmount isn't a possibility, I'll give instructions on how to make it more accurate. The striping on this one is not solid, but with a thin line on top and bottom. I can't tell if that's what you have here. Skin those indicator lights on the rear door white, as they're not on the image. The driver's door doesn't appear to have ERT written on it, you're gonna wanna do that. Really the only other thing is the sign on the ladder. It says Ladder [ert logo] One. It should just say LADDER 1 ERT:FD. No logo. If you were into the light modelling phase, I'd recommend redoing the lights and possibly cab, but apparently no model work is being done

In game? They have no fire protection level Reasoning? They are wearing light clothing meant for station wear mostly, and not to provide any protection from fire or other types of hazards. Also, they're holding metal framed stretchers, which heat up fast, and can burn. They're also carrying more, which could be an exhaustive measure for them. Cops on the other hand have none of this risk for them.

I don't know what the team members have released, but for some reason, they think I'm a team member, trusting me and everything. Hell, I even get to make decisions. My last job let me do that. Three families disappeared, along with a nuclear warhead That being said: The team will be make a lot of building for this mod, and the goal is to have the majority as Open_House structures. This will take a bitta time, more than it would to do a crappy closed house, but it'll also make things more interesting gameplay wise.

If you're looking to make an actual riot mission, as oppsed to just freeplay, that is also do-able, assuming you understand basic Mission scripting. If you set some with remove all casualties and criminals, you can just place bad guys on the map in mass amounts, make them look angry, and add in the protesting voices. Bang, done. If you want to get more advanced, you can set up a script where when they are inside of a particular area, they are bad, but if they are forced out, they'll be fine, assuming they're just the non combatant bad guys. Similar to regular rioters, you'll have those that when dispersed are no problem, but there will also be those who are pure evil, period. the best way to set this up would be to have a trigger area where the riot will be, and all persons either by a certain name or role, depending on how easy each is to code, will be bad guys inside this area. Once outside of the trigger area, they'll be made to be normal civilians and no longer targets for arrest.

So let's take a quick look: Numerous skins here have been reported as made by someone else, not you, and now you're releasing them as your own? That's a terrible, terrible idea.. I'm gonna go ahead and close this topic until I get some proof that you have created every single one of these units. Wanna help? Here's what to do: If you believe he's using one of your units, send me a PM, with the skin that he's using, a picture preferably. I'll compare this to the skins he's using, and if they match, we have a winner, and an unreleased mod.

Moral of the story is don't commit major felonies on the internet

I would presume that the Marshals was there for something related to his case. Duh, right? I'm gonna say he was either A. being checked up on, B. being taken somewhere under protection/guarding, or C, he was caught doing something he wasn't allowed to be at, like being on the internet. Seriously, that's a thing. Guy here got busted for kiddie porn, and isn't allowed on the internet or on any devices that have internet access for the next 5 years.
-
From the looks of things, it's actually got nothing physical to show yet. It looks as if they're using the LA mod maps and stations, as well as scripts, and it's going to be models and skins which have no work started on them yet
-
Let's play a little game here. Click edit when you want to post. Don't post three consecutive times in a period of less than 24 hours. Next time, I'm deleting everything Also, six months for a mod where you have zero models started, and you want to encompass a lot of stuff is a little ambitious...

Aaannnddd this topic is done.

Okay, I should've phrased better. Raids, I consider are something when they're going on a warrant, with no real active threat at the time. Obviously if a life or whatever is in danger, they won't care. I've been on quite a few Daytime calls because a life was in danger, but if they can, they tend to try to wait. A device used to alert the civil population to hide the hell out of sight, as there are planes coming over with the intention of killing the townsfolk and doing the utmost amount of damage one can. You never know when there might be another massive air raid

Guess the Emergency Vehicle Challenge

Let's see. Canada due to the Ontario plates, or moreso the red leaf. Halton Regional police, due to the name on the car. Ontario due to the plates, as mentioned above. And it's a ford taurus? -
Don't know about England, but over in Canada it's pretty much accepted that when the cops, or designates are looking for something, you get out of the way.
