Those are actually really good rambars. As Squamishfire said right as I was typing this post, they're good because they provide full protection. I'm looking at the fronts, and it looks almost as if there is some sort of rubber or similar ending on the very front. This means that they Won't do as much damage to the other vehicle as well. Not just in PIT maneuvers, but in many other things they're gonna be pushing. I've seen police cars and other emergency vehicles be used to push parked vehicles out of the way in the event they're blocking fire trucks from accessing a fire, or whatever, as well as out of dangers way. Given I'd rather a dented bumper than a crushed car due to train, it'd be nice to not have the bumper dented either. Point given, it's better they've got those than some half assed rambars. PS You can't PIT a semi

Okay, assuming you want a basic mod, no complicated scripts, or fancy new maps or anything, just basics, let's do a time breakdown. A great modeller can do roll out roughly 1 model a day, UV and everything, if that's their focus. Assuming they spend 8 hours working. That's from one poly to in game. Assuming your basic mod has what, fifth models (which is a conservative estimate) that's 400 hours. Include another 16 for map design and setup. Another 16 for scripts making stations work and whatnot, you're looking at roughly another 32 hours. Now finishing the mod, that's lighting, making it all run right, etc, can take say another 24 hours. For those keeping score, it's now at 456. Heh, I didn't even try that. Assuming you don't pay for the downloading and compiling of scripts that is necessary to make a mod now, I mean the free to use scripts we all are used to that's a lot of dough. Here minimum wage is $10 an hour, usually for unskilled labour. However this is a generally skilled job, and given the nature of skills required, for one person to do this, you're looking at closer to $20 or more an hour. So cheaply done, it's be $9120, and given the modder quit their job, or took a hiatus to do this, they could work 6 days a week, at 8 hours a day. You'd be looking at close to 10 weeks before you'd have a playable mod. So here's my offer, for $14,000 I'll start the bidding of the job at hand. I value my skills at above average, and you always bid higher than what you're willing to bottom at, because you need to ensure you get the job at an affordable rate for you. Also, just to be clear, that $14,000 is quoted for 2.5 month completion date, 50 models, basic map, and no new scripts written. Finishing included. Any adjustments will be extra. Now, if my point wasn't clear enough, go learn some basic skills yourself, ask for help on how to do things, and try your own hand. It'll save you a few thousand dollars and you can have your own mod then. But you can't afford to buy your own mod.

That's an issue on your side. I just downloaded it with no problems. Multiple topics will not get you an answer sooner. You have been given a two day suspension for spamming.

[WIP] Manhattan Modification [The Upper East Side] *New Video*

From my understanding, I think the problem with the speed lies not with the patrol command, but with the variant speed commands. Patrol puts the vehicle at the level one speed, and it doesn't adjust up. I've had success in removing the variant speed commands for all units, and adjusting the speed of the unit.xml as well as in the patrol scripts, and removing them that way. Realistically, the variant speed has never really had much purpose for me anyways -
I just took some time to go through the downloads database and tutorials. Most files publically available are working. If you have any submitted, please check to ensure they are online still. If there are any issues, please update your file, or contact one of the staff for assistance. We're still working on fixing a few issues, so if you spot something, please report it to us, we might not catch it!

Must be a user side issue. I've checked from several devices, all showing fine.

D.C. Fire Engine Transports Patient to Hospital

Just a note on the meds, typically speaking, at least from my experience, if there is medication on board to deal with seizures, it often is not able to be administered to a toddler safely. When the equipment is not available to provide the immediate help, then sometimes you've gotta sacrifice comfort for life saving skills. -
There we go, I fixed his post, it should now display both images.

LA Restoration Submod (WIP)
Newfoundking replied to LACityFFengineCo287's topic in Submods [Not released]
How did you find this? Seriously. The topic's last post was 2011. It is 2013. About 2.5 years later.. -
No no, release date questioning is highly frowned upon in this community. Don't be pushin'. If there's a release date, they'll tell you. If not, shut up and wait patiently like the rest of us. Or at least I think that's how the rules go

For those concerned about the fate of this mod, Hoppah wants his stuff creditted. MikeyPI is the one who wants his models withdrawn. From my count, that's a few civilian vehicles, the tow trucks and the ESS truck, none of which hold a major part in the mod -
Late 2013 is doubtful, as 2013's last selling season is Christmas, which is 2 months away, and with no hype yet, it would not make sense for them to reach the selling deadline for Christmas, therefore it would be logical to think that they are planning, if at all, to release it after the New Year rolls in and we've all sobered up
-
That's more than likely a problem with you, not the mod. There's a topic somewhere about this. Give me a minute, I'll find it and this will explain things http://forum.emergency-planet.com/index.php?/topic/14511-vehicle-traffic-freezes-in-911fr/

You're not a sovereign state, and no countries recognize you as a country, therefore you don't really have the ability to call yourself a country

Because they're such a realistic vehicle to see in Canada

So hang on. Is this a text based RPG, or are you playing it in the game?

Since no one else from the team picked up on this, As a quasi member (Have I earned full status yet?) I'll answer: In regards to fire boats, or other water rescue devices, there are no plans for one to be released. The way we are planning the mod will result in no use of the mission system as we know it. There are still discussions as to what exactly we will be doing, but at this time, we can confirm that the mod will feature one playable map, that being the freeplay, and the original missions will not be supported, as has been seen similar with mods such as the Manhattan Mod.

My thoughts on this are that we're gonna be seeing the LSPD Black and whites, and a SAPD, similar to the CHP with both white and POLICE markings, and then the Sheriff, similar to the LASD, and then something like Border cops, and SWAT. I don't think we'll be seeing a 3 star or more level of units yet. Maybe the Chargers and Tauruses could be used for that purpose?
-
In ways of riot teams, most departments do not see riots enough to designate units for that sole purpose. Most departments, such as the Royal Nfld Constab, or the RCMP in BC will often enlist buses, and other non-emergency vehicles to bring in the people. If a riot mission were to be planned, we'd be looking at something similar to that, a civil bus made to bring in 30 cops or so, but to my knowledge there isn't one planned at this time As for the Pointy lightbar, I've seen them in use, they look weird, yes, but remember what everyone was saying when people were making the switch from the big rotatory bars to LED. It's just because it's new and strange. It does work wonders.

In regards to the engine thing, it's a box alarm , there's a little box on a pole nearby an officer of the FDNY, captain, lieutenant or chief, needs to go use. Box: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/3/37/Fire_alarm_in_Ridgewood,_New_Jersey.jpg/200px-Fire_alarm_in_Ridgewood,_New_Jersey.jpg As for the crashing, it's extremely taxing on systems. This will happen to many computers that are not high end. A solution some people with this problem have found is to load the map in freeplay and delete some buildings from the map. It'll apparently ease the load on the system and it'll load then.
