So here's how it works around here. Look at the tutorials. We literally have EVERYTHING you need. Literally. Now, start trying. Maybe do a few reskins. Police are easiest, because it's relatively similar all around. Now if you hit a bump, come ask for help. But the thing is no one is going to make you a mod. At all. People make mods because they want to. You want a mod, make it yourself

The NYC mod is an option, sure, but it's not sandbox style, remember, so it is a little more difficult to play with. I'll be opening the same server and whatnot up tonight in about an hour or two
-
Glad those who played enjoyed it. We ended up playing a bit of LA mod, and a bit of the Habour City mod. If you have suggestions for tomorrow night's game, please let me know so we can have it before hand and launch on time! Look forward to tomorrow night

Campaign params is for the in between missions, don't worry about that file. You want to edit the mission script for each mission, under scripts/game/mission and editting the .script file

A note on the hamachi information. To login please join the network Emp-MP and use gamenight to gain access. If you have any issues, please contact me. The server is open whenever you're ready

I have some free time tonight, and I would be up for hosting a game this evening approximately 2330GMT (That's 9:00 my time, adjust for yourselves as needed) I have a server for the game set up, and it'll be run through Hamachi at the IP 25.108.129.182 I'll be online about an hour or so before the game starts to help with getting it set up and what have you. As for teamspeak, I don't have a server set up, but I can set one up if people want one. As noted before the game will be running vanilla LA Mod.

A friendly reminder from your local forum police. Asking for release dates is strictly forbidden

I've been watching the forums lately, and see a lot of clans for multiplayer, but a few issues I've noticed have stuck with me, being it's usually just one mod they play, and there is a rigid structure to these clans. So to solve these problems, I decided to host the Emergency-Planet Multiplayer Clan. Who we are If you're a member on this site, you're a member of this clan. Does this mean anything changes for you? Absolutely not! There is no attendance commitment, nothing requiring you to sign up. We're going to be running community multiplayer games for those interested rotating mods. It'll allow those of us who don't have the time or patience to commit to some of the clans that already exist. What you need We'll be using the vanilla versions of existing modifications, that'll be announced long beforehand, giving you plenty of time to download. The vanilla mods will always be available for download from this site, and what mod we use will be chosen by you. We'll also be using LogMeIn Hamachi to host our multiplayer. This is available for free download from here Now, I've seen a lot of clans using Teamspeak for communication during these games, and for that reason, I'm setting up a small server for use during games. I'll provide the connection information at this time. Note, this is merely an option, if you lag too much with TS running, or just don't want it, you don't have to have it This upcoming game: For simplicity's sake, the first game will be a very basic one. We'll be running a vanilla version of LA Mod, meaning no addons, and we'll be doing it this weekend. Preferred time for me would be Saturday evening. Do we have anyone interested in this game?

When I put on my little boy goggles, I get giggly playing it. It's definitely going to be a big step up from previous New York Modifications, both ours and others

You're correct. My mistake.

To my knowledge, the key commands are hard coded and cannot be changed. Especially in the way of movement of camera

Change Clothes Script making personnel disappear
Newfoundking replied to BGM17's topic in Modding Related Support
If that's the case it's almost certainly a typo in the command to change to a mask. Do us a favour. Go load the game, change a firefighter to mask, and then close it. Post the logfile and script here, and we can take a look. Triple check to ensure what you're saying is the prototype for the firefighter with mask is certainly the firefighter with mask. -
[Released] FDNY Fire Academy Modification *SD*
Newfoundking replied to rafaelmfernandez's topic in Mods
Poor optimization is something that can be fixed with an afternoon or two's work. Be it internal team, or asking someone else to take the mod and clean it up. I cleared out the unused thing sin mine, and spent an afternoon or so, and it loads twice as fast, and is a fraction of the initial size -
us emergency lights and sirens
Newfoundking replied to youdotoo's topic in Emergency and Rescue services
Although the big name brands, like FedSig, Whelen, and Code3 are more expensive than some of the other unknown brands, you're generally paying for quality. Look for something made in NA and that sorta thing. If it doesn't do a lot about technical specs and where it's made, it's generally not a good one to trust -
[Released] FDNY Fire Academy Modification *SD*

Call me cynical, but I think that there needs to be the explanation of the asterisk -
The tower ladder in this mod functions such that it will not work in the traditional game. Therefore it cannot be released reasonably before the big update

Firefighters houses are incredibly loud

This owuld be under your sound settings, possibly under SFX settings. Adjust the volume knobs until it's comfortable. -

Here's the rules. Right now, everyone I deemed as partaking in the fight in ANY WAY whatsoever will be getting a warning. Whether you started it or contributed. Those who said stop, this is your verbal warning. Don't push it anymore. Now, from this point forward, I'll be giving everyone a warning that so much as acknowledges there was a fight in this topic for creating spammy, and problematic posts. If you've already received a warning for the same, you'll receive a posting suspension. This is getting out of hand. Next time I have to go in a topic and clean it up because of childish crap like this, I'll be doing a lot more than handing out warnings.

We're all willing to HELP. But that's the operative word. Help only. I'm not making a mod for anyone except me. I'll help with mods, yes, but I'll never make someone else's mod for free.

I can't speak for fire departments, as I'd have to drive a fair distance away before I'd find a volunteer one, but here, we have on call SAR volunteers, and it's almost unanimous acorss the province that everyone uses cell phone callouts. It's cheaper than purchasing the equipment, and you're more likely to leave your house without your pager than without your cell phone.

Here we do rehab through dedicated fire units, but it really depends on need.VFD may not use things the same due to manpower issues
-
I can't speak for other jurisdictions, but here we'll have two people dedicated to RIT and depending on the size of the job, we could have another five or ten ready to drop everything and go in with similar gear, less than a minute behind
