Do you have the vehicles defined in the script? As well as the Virtual objects? You must define both the prototypes for the vehciles you want to park, as well as the virtual objects in which they will park. Then you add the command and it'll work.

LA Mod 3.5 [CANCELLED]
Newfoundking replied to PaganiZonda760's topic in Mod Development and Concepts
Do you have winRAR? It's nothing to do with the host, because if so, no one would have this mod, it's on your side. -
Mikey's point is not the the germans have a significant advantage over us, but rather that there has been nothing shown for the English community, whatsoever, whereas the German community at least has a few hints and the developers beating around
-
If you can run the LA mod, this mod should be no trouble to run. All models in there are optimized to be the smallest size while still looking good, each script to prevent lag, and the experience itself is optimized for this mod, which means there will be a good bit less problems experienced than with port mods, like the Manhattan mod. So long as you have a somewhat modern computer, you shouldn't worry about running this

The trend now is to make games that often fail, usually in the area of customization as of late for all companies, generally speaking. Emergency 5 is a big step graphics and engine wise over Emergency 4. The time to recreate the previous editor on top of the game, with even five of the wanted additions, would make it more work for them, almost double. The problem lies in that they want something that looks good and is easy to sell. That's how you rake in preorders, and money. If they just recreated Emergency 4 with better graphics and some of the things the community wants, like more light options, working trailers, and more customizable freeplay, then it would be good for us, but harder to initially market, and harder to create, as more work is required. Unfortunately, gaming seems to be more about how much crap can I turn out, not how good can I make my one piece of crap. It'd be nice if companies had a flagship they detailed all the way to what it deserved, but it seems that they instead release as many games as they can, with the minimum they need.

The reason that the release dates rule was brought in was during one of the later releases of the LA mod, the thread became a flood of "release date?" This trend continued to grow significantly when that became free to mod, with submods. It got to the point that we as a community decided that is was unreasonable to expect release dates, and that asking was a waste of time. It was out and when it came out. If it wasn't out fast enough, too bad for you. In relation to the CTD, does it crash right away, or after doing something?

Well I don't know about the other staff, but I check through about once a week, clear off flags for items I can download, and ones that come up funny, I let the flags sit
-
I have no idea. Either way, the issue is on your end. Three separate staff members have tested it on several separate computers, and occasions. It's not us, it must be you. I don't know what else to tell ya. Either way, back to the topic at hand please. Any website issues can be reported in support or by PM.

Each mod that shows broken has had the author contacted, and it's their responsibility to provide a new copy of the mod. We cannot replace them, as we don't have copies kept on our hard drives. So it's the author's responsibility to update the mod

No. Your eyes deceive you, it's actually two manatees mating. That is all.

Click it anyways. That may just mean that they didn't include an icon

Just a map texture? You have to import it into a map in the editor, and then save that map as freeplay.e4m or alternatively, freeplay_d.e4m overwriting the original. Thing is, this is just a floor. you'd have to load the original map you want to replace to replace the floor (f3) but the placement of the buildings and what not on themap will have to be the same. Is this a new map altogether, or is it meant to just be a floor replacement for a current map already populated? If it's just a new floor altogether, and not a texture replacement (like snow, or whatever) then you'll need to do a LOT of work to have this as a functioning map.

Guys, we have an off topic forum you can discuss the SRG, and ESU, and CTU, and ABC, DEF and even GHI, but this isn't it....

Ask away here. Whatever it is. I'll answer them and then put the question and answer in this box. To start off, some of the common questions I see Got a rule you don't get? The TOS is relatively explanatory and covers most everything you need to know. If you have specific questions, ask them now. Don't know who the staff are? Site staff include: MikeyPI Newfoundking Stan Hoppah RandomPerson139 Voodoo_Operator Please contact a staff member with concerns. And no, we're not hiring. Pissed off and don't know what to do? Scream, shout, curse, get banned. Generally in that order. Seriously though, voice your concern in a calm and rationale matter in the appropriate forum. Contact a staff member through the report content button, or by PM. Note, a PM about a site issue will generally be viewed by all staff members, and they will have an option to weigh in. I don't like XYZ Staff member! Thanks, that's not a question. Here at EmP, we take pride in the people we make hate us. Because those people generally broke a rule, or two, or seven, and didn't know that consequences exist on the internet. In almost every case of "I hate this staff member" I've been sent, it's because people generally did something to get warned, and that staff member just happened to warn them. We're not perfect, we have retracted warnings, and removed staff before, but don't expect your complaint to get you very far unless it's firmly grounded in reality.

First off, no we're not doing Boroughs. If you look at the NYCERU team, and how they went to place parts of New York into the game, we're not looking to do that at all. We're looking to create a NY feel, not a NY copy. Stations are based on their real world counterparts, but does not mean that they will be placed identically to where they would be found in the real world, but rather we place them with what makes sense for the game. Secondly, we've never stated the tanker will carry fuel, which can be switched to water, which can be switched to gasoline. No. That was members. We're letting you guys figure it out. But it is a single purpose unit. Thirdly, in regards to the comment about post 9/11 to 2008. No narrowing down is needed actually. I'll play nice and not point out we don't NEED to do anything, except what we want, and just explain further. Post 9/11 means that we're not including blue NYPD cars, or the 90s cruisers. What it means is that most of the vehicles in it come from a mid point. If an abundance of pictures exist for random rare unit #1 in 2004, then we'll be looking to use that incarnation, whereas if random rare unit #2 doesn't have anything until 2007, then we'll be using that one. I think the newest model we've included is from 2008 or 2009, but the bulk of the units come from around the middle of that time period. As Mikey said, we're looking to create a New York Mod that is not focused on having the most recent units on the street, because it'd be perpetually focused on replacing units, so a time window was opened up for the mid millennium section to fix this
-
The SRG would have been outside of the cutoff of the time period, if it is still not launched yet, as this mod stops around 2010 or so. NYPD Does have a water cannon truck. It's rarely used. https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRBOkDZSY69ti0_trZsrqQ5_gHBP7OPhr04Dcd8jBMfc7kSn7xJVpzb5_Fs I will not comment on whether it's in there or not. I just like watching you guys squirm Then you run out of water I guess. My understanding on how these things work is that they are prefilled before responding and if they run out, they're out of luck. I don't imagine that you would be able to easily fill one in the middle of a riot anyways
-
The NYPD has something similar to the SRG unit you speak of called the Emergency Service Unit. And yes, this mod does feature certain aspects of the ESU.
-
Just because it's primarily a fuel tanker doesn't mean that it can only haul fuel. Remember that
-
This was the case in the original copy of the gated wye. Whether or not that is the case in this situation I don't know
-
Nope. Once that fella is wrecked, to my knowledge, it's lost for good.
-
Um, no. Not exactly. Just thinking, the fuel truck has a 1993 designation for diesel, however the majority of vehicles in emergency services use gasoline. Try again. Hell, knowing us, it could be that we want to make it into a vehicle that is used for major fuel spills to cause all sorts of trouble... Manhattan mod was a lot of conversions, and had a lot of issues with computers that weren't top of the line (and even some that were), and we looked to make that issue no more. Mikey created every model hand made to work with this game, and it's been a goal to ensure that this works like the regular game, on the majority of systems.
-
The issue with Gated Wye is that is has an invisible man on it. If he gets injured, then you can't pick it up. This was an issue the LA mod dealt with too. I don't recall if a solution was ever created
