It is not UV mapped yet... Follow this tutorial, and you will be doing good then http://www.emergency-planet.com/index.php?...7&Itemid=35 Taken from EMP tutorial page

I also believe seeing a few around in different mods... Can't remember if they were ever completed though. I would suggest checking the modding section on the forum, and looking through the American mods, even if they aren't finished, then you might be able to get the model off the creator if you ask nice enough. It's worth a try

Um, with no experience, it would be best for you to reskin what hoppah and other authors made... That way you learn the basics, and have something to use. This is fine, as long as you don't release it, then you'll get in trouble. I suggest start with re skins, and work your way up to slight model modifications, then more and more in depth, and eventually you'll know enough to start making new units and that, plus you'll have a mod to play even before you can model
-
Um, well the best thing to do, is talk to people on these forums, asking if you can get them to make you one vehicle or maybe use one that fits your needs, then you'll just reskin it. You can compile these together then, and you'll have your mod. If you don't know how to compile them into a working mod, I'm sure I can help you with that. Paying for a mod could end up being really costly, so the best thing I would do if I were you, is try to get together a team, or just ask different people to make you different things, and with that, you can probably get a mod together for free. If you want to talk, I do believe I have you on xfire, if not, my xfire=my username here

After you ahve unlocked the model, you can import it if you have a licensed version of Zmod
-
Um, well for models and skinning, the average might run around 10 or 15 USD a model, but if you wanted custom scripts that were in depth (like fire station from LA mod) it might be a little more costly.. to get a mod that replaces just the units in the base game, and adds one or two new functions, plus a new station to the freeplay map might cost a small bit, maybe even 3 digits, once again depending on how much work you wanted done.
-
Also Photoshop may have more features, but some people prefer to work with what they have, compared to something new that they have to re-learn again, so he may want to stick with what he knows compared to something he hasn't used
-
If you really want something specific, ask me, and I'll make it.. I do that for anything, just PM me and I'll do it up!
-
no, re pathing like that cannot be done with current knowledge
-
I'm working on several other mods at the moment, and the mod I am planning on doing requires the team from another mod, and they don't come to me, until the first version of the other mod is released...
-
Making mods for a game is a lot easier then making a new game... Because you need to make the game work first off, then everything needs to be put in. It's not even half as easy as modding to the hardest degree.
-
The reason there isn't re skins, is because he worked hard and just giving it up would be pointless, because reskinning is EXTREMELY easy. Secondly, he could've and still can stop the LA mod FOREVER, which means its all gone. Be happy with what you got. He chose LA because he felt like it, there doesn't have to be an explanation, if you don't like it, then don't use it. He made it and can decide what he wants done with it.

Um this should be in modding and mod help section Um, and for number one, the colour you see when they are off is done through skinning and yes there is. The colour that it flashes doesn't have a tut to my knowledge There is a tut for skin changing, look at the main page

I could be mistaken, but I thought winterberg was translated somewhere, and you could download an "English patch"
-
In response to the missions patch problem, delete the LA mod, and re install it... then the original 10 will be there
-
BUMP POST Not really. I come bearing 1.8.3 All problems should be worked out... I have a readme included in the ZIP file and installation is quite simple. This is now fixed with the civil vehicles appearing as squad as well. No completely new light updates on any vehicle, only minor changes on vehicles. Go ahead and download. I'm working on new things for 1.8.4 already Prototypes1.8.3.rar

That topic was in Announcements, talking about a new emergency for DS.
-
Well that's because it was not in LA mod EM3 and was discontinued in 1.6 or 7 (I think)
-
Oh okay... Thanks for enlightening me Mikey PS... Have you seen/heard from MikesPhotos recently? I don't seen him as much anymore...
-
well that would be too much IMO, and quite pointless... @ Mikey, I wasn't talking about the emergency vehicles, but traffic itself... Seems a tad slow to me, oh well
-
Yes they did, I released them, and I accidentally replaced them again with 1.8.2 *hides face out of embarrassment* I am going to realease a 1.8.3 soon*hopefully tomorrow* which wil include fixed rims, the light problems I have been hearing about and a few minor changes. I had the prison van, and the heavy rescue outfitted with lights, when my computer crashed and I was unable to recover it. Now I have a new computer, and I will have to re-do those lights later Sorry for the lack of updates, been busy with life... Woops!
-
That's what the US Coast Guard use as their motto too... I think it might just be the rescue swimmers though
-
Um, I'm going to ask somethinga bout vehicle speeds.. Will they remain as slow as they were before, or will they be increased slightly? Just wondering
-
Half new vehicles and half reskins? How would that work?
-

People use Jpg becuase it is compressed, people use bitmap, becuase it isn't compressed and presents a clearer image... Jpg some people use becuase of the small file size
