Hi, Welcome to the forums. When you make a help post, you have to remember that we are all in different time zones, and we all are busy outside of this as well. Give about 24 hours for a response before bumping your topic asking if anyone can help. It's usually going to be answered long before then, but sometimes, things will get over looked. Also, if you are looking for help, and no one is still responding, PM a moderator such as myself asking if they can help you. Most of us will be able to either help you with your problem, or direct you to someone who can. If you could upload screen shots of the unit in game, and also the editted skin, maybe we could see what is wrong. If you saved it as the wrong type of DDS file that could also be the problem. I have saved a few skins, using a different setting and not realizing it, and they would come out yellow, or another weird colour. Rotating will mess up the mapping, and make it much worse.. I don't understand what you mean by invisible. Screenshots would help -NFK

Well you are new, it's fine to kinda stumble as you get your bearings. Everyone does it. Before asking questions about a mod, check the first post.. Kinda as a rule of thumb, modders will put important info in the first post. If it's not there, use the search function to see if anyone has asked or not. If still no luck, or no answer, then go ahead and post

Hoppah, just a notice, that 911FR shortcut also didn't work on my computer, and I am using a 32bit system.. However Em4 deluxe worked fine.

Well the central station here has 2 or three poles.. One from the original station that is no longer in use, and then 2 more that are still in use today. They don't seem to want them out either

I'm still trying to figure out which ones.. .It's different from person to person. No, I knew you were a firefighter with the CFD, but I never knew you were deaf. I've been wanting to be a firefighter for the longest time, and that was basically the whole reason of this topic, to see if I was barred from it. Now unless they send me alone into a room searching for people, and the room is completely red, and they are completely green, I'll be able to handle my job. It's not like I'll have to identify a lot of things colour based, that wouldn't have some other way to identify it that was more reliable. Well if you could get in being deaf, then I don't see a reason I can't if I'm red/green colourblind. I have adapted to everything else so far, including designing a very colourful spot for my highschool (don't know how I did it, but I did) and apparently it turned out good. So I suppose I'll give it a try. Afterall what's the worst that'll happen, I get in shape, get certified as a firefighter, then go get another job. I won't give up. PS anyone else here have any form of colourblindness? So far I have only met one other person...

Now 911FR has had reported problems on some OS's with that code... Hoppah did a little test a while back, and I think it's like Vista 32 bit? And you can make a new shortcut. I have 3 on my desktop for Em4 deluxe, 1 for LA mod, one for the editor, and one for winterberg... Though that mod takes much longer to load, because of all the new scripts and such..

More or less, yes they can. Really it's just adding the patrol button, and then you have a military task force to do police work.

Yes, hit escape then main menu, then you can just click save game, choose a title, and let it save... This may take a little while, but then you can load your game from there whenever you wish, as long as you don't mod the mod any more. Once you add a submod of some sort, then the old save file may not work any more, and will more than likely CTD

I don't actually use them a lot in freeplay.. I used them ONCE, when a bunch of rioters got out of hand, I went in, and mowed them all down with the nat'l guard... Then I sent the MCU to clear the scene... I also use them occasionally when the toxic cloud comes through the map, I may use them, just for the realism effect.. Them and then I'll have the Red Cross set up i a spot that'll be unaffected by the cloud and heal units as they become injured... No need to go through wasting emergency units, or redirecting traffic, when you can just block off areas with soldiers

That's the way the game is... AFAIK it is not possible to have the siren on when the unit comes on map

It appears that units were attacked... Maybe a saboteur, or maybe an idiot shooting up their own team

Regardless if this has anything at all to do with the LA mod or not, you cannot post a download to the files, unless you made them, or receive permission from the author of the vehicle... From what I can tell, this is the original Caprice Hoppah made, therefore you'd need his permission, and it appears you also reskinned the LAPD caprice from Rihis' 90's submod.. therefore you would need permission from both authors. A download link is not allowed because it is not LA related, and Hoppah won't allow releases of submods for his mod that just change skins to another city.

In china they are run by a communist government, so they don't get a lot of rights... The gov't says what they want, and if you don't like it, they'll come out in full force and take care of you. At least the American gov't gives more freedom

And I have been told many a time by Candian cops (and court officials) as well as a few American ones I talk to that if a political figure gets caught, if anything DOES happen, it's going to be severely reduced and like a fraction of what I'd get if I did it

The truth is, regardless of what anyone tells you.. The government doesn't care about anyone not old enough to vote, after all, if they want a second term, they need to keep the voters happy. Yes they will do a bit to keep you guys happy enough so that the voters will be content with how their children are being treated, but as for direct caring about your opinion.. Why should they?

Well as a few of you may know, I am red/green colour blind. This does not mean I see only black and white, or I can't see any red or any green. I can easily look at something, and tell you if it is red or green, however it is when the two are put together that it becomes much harder to tell. This is not true for every shade of red and every shade of green. And this also does not apply just to red and green, other colours are harder to tell, like for instance when the sky turns purple, it will more than likely still look blue to me. Because of this, I cannot work in certain careers, such as police officer. I can also not legally fly a commercial plane, or to my knowledge any plane. Basically, I am opening this thread up for contribution and questions. I would like to know of any other careers I would not be able to do, and I can then compile a list. Please don't add if you don't know for sure, only if you do know 100% please. Also, any questions you have about anything related to this topic, go ahead and ask them and I'll do my best to answer it

That's weird, either you are messing something up and not realizing, which could be the problem, we all do that once in a while... OR There is something already screwy we don't know of..

I'm thinking this topic may be getting little old and may get out of hand... I'll be watching it to make sure it stays a good healthy debate, but any flaming and such and the topic will have to be closed. and no I don't think the double standard is fair

What are you changing in FP Params to be stopping you from buying things.. Also if editting files makes it impossible to buy units there is something very wrong
