Hey Bram, For me it's a comforting thought to know you are joining the camp of American MOD makers, being familiar with the Dutch MOD you created; however, I think I am entitled to say, on behalf of the Dutch players among us, that it is still feeling like a huge loss for seeing you leaving the Dutch MOD behind... But now for the good news, as you can see, there are allready people who want to join in into your plans concerning the American MOD as they are asking you for a basic tutorial. Maybe it's something worth to consider... Asking me for my favorite American city which I would like to see in EM5, looking at the pics of the emergency services of all the cities you suggested, is like asking a child (in the middle of a candy store) to pick its favourite treat. It's really hard, because every city has very neat looking emergency services. Therefor I "simply" choose for Los Angeles for its neat looking ambulances - I can't think of a better reason... However, San Francisco, would also do very well in my opinion... Anyway, whatever city it is going to be, I'm looking forward to see it all coming together. Keep in touch! Cheers, Robert. -

Can't wait to meet up with your 1.1.0 update... Cheers!! -
Hi guys, I can't say I disagree with you all together. The reason for our disappontmet in EM5 so far, probably lies in the fact that SixteenTons promissed us "the world" with this new game or, at least, made the suggestion that they did. We all, former EM4-gamers, are eagerly waiting and looking for successful MODS to go with the EM5-game that, in time, could compare themselves with the successful LA-MODS that "Hoppah" created for the EM4-game. Well now, I think there is someone who is making severe efforts to do so with the creating of his Dutch Mod for EM5. To me, it's looking professional and promissing as I played the MOD for several weeks now. I know he is now constantly, and passionately, working on this MOD. At the moment he is making smaller enhancements and/or preparing bigger updates of the MOD (to be released within a couple of days) while there are great future plans to follow. And now, on top of this, he recently announced that he would start working on a American MOD as well in the very near future. However, he really needs to be fed with suggestions of us all to make his plans work. So, why not giving him a chance, by installing and playing the MOD and come up with your ideas? If SixteenTons won't do the job, let the gamers do so! Check it out: http://forum.emergency-planet.com/topic/20184-dutch-mod-v100-released-a-lot-of-new-info-added/ Cheers!! Robert, Netherlands.

Hey Bram, It's nice to hear that most of my suggestions seem to fall into place. Now I do hope that the Dutch Mod Players will appreciate them just as much once you have fabricated the MODS and installed inside your new update. Then again, I'm sure they will respond on the forum to speak their mind the moment your update is to be downloaded. Like I said before, I will try to feed you with tips and ideas should they pop up into my thoughts while playing. Keep in touch. Cheers!! Robert, Netherlands. -

Hey Bram, I just started playing your Dutch MOD. Really impressive! My first idea to enhance the game: I really don't know if it's even technically possible, but wouldn't it be nice to make sure that as soon as the paramedics return to the ambulance with their victim, that the doctor that treated the victim at firt, is returning to the ambulance as well to ride along with the victim to the hospital. The same goes naturally for the personel of the rescue helicopter. I think you must admid that it's a bit awkward that the paramedics return to base with the victim alone, while leaving the doctors standing at the scene... After all, the doctors arrived with the very same ambulance/helicopter at the scene as well. However, SixteenTons apperently did not see a problem in there also, as EM5 has the same issue with the helicopter personel. Keep in touch. Cheers!! Robert, Netherlands. -

Wow Bram, Just returned from my vacation and went straight to our forum where I was directed to the video of your MOD. Apart from the very fine quallity of the video, I was deeply impressed by the amazing results of your work and the things you already have accomplished. Just to think, that this is "only" version 1.0.0. Reading about your plans and ideas, naturally added with new tips and ideas from our players along the way, strengthens my thought that you are really going to be the "Hoppah" of EM5. If there should be an election for this title in the future, you would have gained MY vote at least. As soon as I have your MOD installed and start playing, I will try to feed you with tips and I ideas should they pop up into my thoughts. But for now: CHAPPEAU!! Keep in touch. Cheers!! Robert, Netherlands. -

The way I understand and reading this topic now, seems to me that you're planning to be the new "Hoppah" regarding EM5. That looks promissing. . I'll just send you a private message to receive the infromation I need to get my hands on your Dutch Mod. However, since I'm going on a small vacation, I won't be able to play it for another week. BTW, I am glad you took up my earlier suggestion about the turntable ladder. Keep up the good work! Cheers!! Robert, Netherlands. -
Thank you for your reply. Wishing you all the luck (maybe even support?) you need with this mod... Please keep us informed... Cheers!! Robert, Netherlands

Should I be the manufactorer of this game and hearing/reading of all of these comments of its buyers, I wouldn't know where to look, let alone where to hide, out of pure shame - to be looked at as just being a money scraper... I would do anything in my power to proof all of them wrong. But then again, what do I know...

Hi, Let me tell you first of all, I do not make mods myself; for the simple reason: I do not have any programming experience, let alone programming skills, none whatsoever. Now I am convinced that many EM5 players, who are programmers as well, are busy developing Mods to the best to their knowledge. Maybe, in all my modesty , I hope I am allowed to make you guys a suggestion for making another mod. When the fire tender is using its extinguisher on its roof, you'll notice that, when pointing out another fire with your mouse, the water canon is automatically turning towards the fire without letting the fire tender changing its position, provided the fire to be extinguished, is in its reach. The turntable ladder should actually do the same thing (at least in real life that is): turning its water canon on the ladder towards the fire source once pointed out. However, for each different fire you point out, other then the one that is being extinguished with its water canon at that very moment, the turntable ladder lowers its ladder and the fire engine is to be repositioned completely, rising its ladder again and then continuing putting out the fire. It's not realistic AND it's losing time putting out a fire. Is this an idea for a mod: to let the turntable ladder putting out fires pointed to, without the need to be repositioning itself all the time. Maybe someone would like to take a look at this. It's just an idea; no such thing as an instuction to make one... THank you in advance. Cheers!! Robert, Netherlands.

Hi, Is there a faster way to have this file downloaded? I mean, it seems I have to wait for 1000 seconds (= 16,66 minutes) on http://www.4shared.com until the download would start. And, should I choose for the so called "Priority Download" I'll be forced to accept a lot of spam . Also, once downloaded, could the file just be installed by the EM5 Mod Installer? Meaning: 1. Open the Emergency 5 Launcher. 2. Go to "Modifications". 3. Drag and drop the .zip in Modifications. 4. Select the mod as "active" Hope to hear from you soon. Cheers!! Robert, Netherlands.

Thanks again. I'll keep your offer in mind for using "private mail" in Dutch. Nevertheless, I still think if we keep using the forum, every member can profit from your knowledge and the answers you'll provide in case people get stuck and need your help. Just for now, I will send you a mail just to get acquainted... Cheers!! Robert.

Thank you Leandro for your reply. Maybe this is one of my stupid questions, but where can I find this installation guide? Also, could you tell me if I DO have the possibillity to have the MOD uninstalled should I want to, how to do so, and would that be without any (game) consequences or can I find these answers in this installation guide as well? Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you! Robert, Netherlands.

Hi, When I've reached a certain point in the game I am playing, I figure it might be best to save that certain point so that I can start from there should I fale the game. When I'm starting a "saved" game, it always starts right from the beginning of the game and never at the point where I saved it before. It's frustrating... What's even more frustrating , is the fact that I pointed my problem out to the EM5 "support" department in a mail (way before the first EM5-patch (1.0) had to come out. I'm still waiting for a reply - now, even since the coming out of patch 1.3, the problem still exists; at least with me that is... Did any of you had to deal with the same problem and, if so, did you find a solution for this problem or could you please tell me why this is happening to me? Can you tell me what I should do to fix my problem? By the way, I am playing the STEAM version; for what it's worth... I hope to hear from you soon. Robert, Netherlands.

Hi Leandro, Regarding to the answer you gave in F.A.Q. no. 4, could you please tell me which original files and/or maps (also, please tell me the path where to find them) I have to copy, before installing your mod, in case I should decide on any moment that I would like to have the original files reinstalled? Thank you! Robert, Netherlands.

Emergency fans who stick to playing EM4

It was nothing like ignoring the forum rules on purpose. It was just a simple mistake of mine. But forget it, it's all right - I got the message... -

Oké, now I understand... sorry for that; but why the warning? He could have just said something like: "pay attention next time" (which I certainly will) - but it's not like I acted totally unrespectable or misbehaved myself on the forum or so... Also, it would have sound more friendly. Being a moderator should really not be acting like a policeman, should it? -

I don't understand... Why SHOULD I have used the edit button, and WHY would I get a warning if I'm asking an innocent but serious question, apparently without using the edit button?? For me, the edit button is just for editing the question or reply by its owner, once posted. Your remark does not sound user friendly to me... Like I said, I really don't understand... -

I will, but please be patient. I will have to install the game again first... Thank you for your reply. Robert, Netherlands. Hello Banana, I just installed EM-4 again with the last LA-Mod I have (2.0). So inside the original German "cities" of the game, there are LA "First Responders" available and cruising. I did not succeed to make a printscreen so I had to make a few pictures with my phone. You can see the horrific graphics and notice (especially when you look at the fire engine) how all is widened and blown out of proportion. Years ago I tried to solve this problem asking all over the internet but at the time no-one had a solution. I do know however, that some games have the possibillity to be played from within a "inside screen" (a screen inside the monitor itself). So if this would be possible, I don't think that the video settings of the game would be bothered or influenced by a widescreen anymore. I can imagine there are lots of EM-4 players who are now in the possession of a widescreen, and probably dealing with the same problem as I do? I hope to hear from you soon. Kind regards, Robert, Netherlands. -
Hi Guys, As an enthousiastic EM-4 player I was hoping that EM-5 would have it all. Up till now it seems that EM-5 caused a lot of disappointment among the EM-4 players who probably had the same expectations as I did. More important: I read more and more messages in our forums that people return to playing EM-4 where the LA-Mod can be played. I am thinking of doing so as well, only I'm having a hard time with the video settings of my game since I'm having a widescreen (Dell SX2210). I am playing the English version of EM-4 which is called: "911 First Responders"; it is actually an exact copy of the original German EM-4 version. The LA-mods work perfectly fine, not only in Freeplay but also inside the original EM-4 games. Only now the game is being stretched all over my widescreen. So, every object, house, car, person or whatever, is widened in the game. I am playing the 1920 x 1080 settings, but even when I change it back to the original 1280 x 1024 (?) settings the game is still being stretched all over my screen. Is anyone familiar, but more important, or does anyone have a solution for my problem? I hope to here from you soon. Robert, Netherlands.

Hi Guys, Could you please explain to me how and where to install a mod you guys created and keep track of the new developed mods. Also, once a mod is installed, could it be undone? You probably understand by now, that I don't know anything about creating mods and everything that goes with it. What I do know however, is that I'm very happy with people like YOU who do understand how to create them and let people like ME do nothing more then simply enjoy them... Thank you! Robert, Netherlands

Well than... maybe it was just my wishful thinking to make it happen...
