Hi Guys, I have another question about the CPH-gameplay: In the top left corner, right under the "Alarm Bell" there are 5 numbers displayed, 1 to 5, which (as far as I know) do nothing once clicked on. I could imagine however, that each number will represent a part of the Airport map but enlarged and more detailed, so more specific events are to be taking place in each specific area. Should it be otherwise, and if you are aware of the fact that these numbers have another specific role inside the mod (maybe clicking these numbers is already working - yet, not to my knowledge) please let me know. Hope to hear from any of you soon. Cheers!! Robert

I too experienced several game crashes "out of the blue" when playing (OS: Windows 10). I haven't got a clue what's causing them... because severaI other EM4-mods are to be played without any problems. I do hope however, they will be history with its next MOD update. On the Facebook site of the CPH-Mod, http://copenhagen-mod.dk/cph-airport-mod/, I read that in the next update of the mod, v1.1, there is (among lots of other things) an "Evacuation button for the airport terminal". So this should answer your question. Cheers!! Robert.

Yes!! The reason for NOT getting the callout menu activated whenever clicking the alarm button, was indeed because of the fact that not ALL of the items in the field were deselected at the time. So, when making sure that no item is selected when clicking the alarm button, thanks to "Captain", I now can really enjoy this great mod, which I hope it will have many more updates to follow, Cheers!! Robert.

Thanks Guys, I will keep that in mind when I'll start playing again en let you know if that is actually the case/solution. Cheers!! Robert

Hi, Thank you for the manual, but I still need some help with playing the game. For instance: I have a injured passenger on the plain and through the Callout Menu I then call in a medical first responder, coming from the airport. Once at the scene, I'll make sure the passenger is getting help, but I do need to call in an ambulance for further transport of the victim. At that moment I cannot seem to activate the callout menu again. I don't know if that has something to do with the flashing red light of the call (while naturaly, the call is still in progress) but, when I click the red light, it stops flashing, but still no possibillity to call in extra vehicles. Also, when arresting a drunk passenger inside the terminal, the passenger got hurt by the police officer during the fight, but there was no way for me to get the call out menu activated again for an ambulance. After clicking the Alarm button, I could right click all over the map, but no callout menu! In another event, I called in an city ambulance which, naturaly, took some time to arrive at the airport scene. Then when sending the ambulance with the patient "back home" (HQ), the ambulance took of, disappeared from the scene (the map even) but the red light kept on flashing and never turned green again to await the next call. Has this something to do with my impatience waiting for the ambulance to finally arrive at HQ, or is there something else I need to know? I am convinced I am doing something wrong, simply because I don't know how to deal with these issues. But surely, you can help me out here. By the way: your MOD looks stunning! My compliments! Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks! Cheers!! Robert.

Yes guys, you were right! I did need to go to Campaign to get the games started. There were no download issues. I got them where I was first linked to by BMA. Still I have some questions about the Airport gameplay, which looks fabulous by the way, but I have to come back on that for your help later. For now, thanks everyone for your quick responds and help so far. Cheers!! Robert.

Hi guys, I seem to have a problem getting to start this CPH Airport Mod 1.0 as well as the Copenhagen Mod 1.0, which I both downloaded and installed today. To be more specific, the following: both mods are installed with the EM4 Mod Installer and, as they are supposed to, both mod titles returned inside the EM4 Modification menu where I need to click on either of them to have the mod activated and then click on "Freeplay" to play with; just like all the other EM4 Mods I successfully installed this way and are all perfectly able to be played with; 15 other city mods - to be precise, including the German Bieberfelde Mod. Now, the problem with both of these Danish mods is that when I click on either of them to activate and then click on "Freeplay" to play with, after a few seconds only the original EM4 (non modificated) game starts up where you have the possibillity to play the tutorial menu - completely madness! I then also downloaded these mods, meant as alternatives, because they were not to be installed by the Mod Installer itself, but simply being unpacked and then to have the unpacked mod file copied into the Mod map of the game. As you probably know, there are more mods meant to be installed this way and are perfect to be play with. Being installed this way, both mod titles also returned inside the EM4 Modification menu, but clicking on either of them and then clicking "Freeplay" - again, only the original EM4 (non modificated) game starts up. Hoping to eliminate the problem, I uninstalled all of my EM4 Mods along with the EM4 game itself and reinstalled all of them again afterwards. But that didn't do the trick either. Maybe I did something wrong, although I cannot imagine what since the installing procedures never changed, For the record: I AM playing the English version of the EM4 game: "911 - First Responders"; but I don't think that should be a problem for both of the Copenhagen Mods. I hope you could help me out here, because both mods look quite appealing to play with. Thank you! Cheers!! Robert.

I'm sorry! I appologize for asking about the release date. I am aware of this rule, but I completely forgot about it... But like i said - it's my enthusiasm. Be advised: I was not trying to put up pressure here or things like that, let alone, willing to risk the annoyment of any of the modders. So, please forget about my question for a release date. Maybe just some progress information to keep us informed and enthusiastic; if that's okay? Cheers!! Robert.
-
Hey Godra, It's been a little while now sincer your latest information about the development of the coming up Bieberfelde Next Generation mod. Is there already new progress information you can can share us with, like a possible first release date to be in sight? Any (significant?) information would be nice... I appologize if I seem impatient, but that's due to my enthusiasm for "the coming out of the mod" ... ;-) Cheers!! Robert.

Hey Stefan, In your reply, you now showed me a new picture of the tiller with pistons positioned correctly and the support legs activated. Does this mean you sorted out the problem? If so, chapeau!! Thinking out loud now, and being no modder myself as you know, I just wonder: Is the problem just HAVING the fireman POSITIONED in the seat in the first place or is it the problem more like HOW to get the firemen into the seat next to the tiller for steering the ladder in a natural way? - like seeing him walking towards the engine, climbing it and then taking the seat. If just having him seated would not be a problem for you, then maybe the problem of "getting him there" could be solved in two steps. Mind you, I am aware that it is "easy talking" for me, but seeing what you are capable of, you might think that my suggestion could be doable. Noticing your development of new icons in your mods, maybe the development of a new icon might be an idea to have a firemen positioning himself next to the left rear side of the engine (first step). The icon is to be placed in the right downside corner of the screen or in the action menu of the fireman himself (activated by rightclicking the fireman). A second new to be developed icon would then have the fireman "simply" being placed ("Teleported" if you like) in the seat next to the tiller. I think that players could live with this solution. Please let me know. Cheers!! Robert.

Hey Stefan, Thanks again for your reply. For me, working with these printscreens, was the only way trying to explain my problem to you. Taking the printscreens along in your reply, now made it all clear to me. I'm sure this all will work now. I'll get on it tonight and I'll let you know. A few more questions, since I now will start working with your mods for the very first time (shame on me!)... Will your mods also work with each mission of the EM5/2016 games or are they "only" working in the "Freeplay" game? I just watched your latest YouTube film with the turntable ladder working astonishing fluid and professional (just wow!) and I noticed indeed that the silver colored pistons, needed to push the ladder up in the air, are "coming loose" from its red piston holders - so, like you said: "kinda works now (95% accurate)" . Although I am not quite sure, but I think I noticed a seat next to the Tiller. If so, wouldn't it be a nice idea (before before being able to steer the Tiller by hotkeys) to have a fireman taking this seat first, in order to steer the Tiller? Stefan, please see me as an enthusiastic participant in delivering ideas for making mods as professional as possible (compared to real life), as I also did at the time with the development of the Dutch mod by FrozenOne-94. Now, looking closely at the ladder, I also noticed that I did not see the two "arms" on each side of the ladder coming out first. Excuse me for not knowing the exact English word for these "arms" but I'm sure you'll understand. They are placing big square plates on the ground with their build in pistons, to put and position the ladder firmly to the ground before activating and steering the tiller itself. Please be convinced, I am not trying to play "the wise guy" here... I hope to hear from you again soon. Cheers!! Robert.

Hi Stefan, I've downloaded all the concerning files I need (I think), but still it is a bit confusing to me; dispite your explanation in your reply to me and your installation instruction. Also, I am familiar with installing EM5-mods in the "Modification" tab in the game. Below, you'll find 4 printscreens I made from the following "situations": Printscreen 1, is showing the mods I downloaded and then placed in a overall map, named: "EM5 -killerconstis_minimod". Before that, I placed each of your mods in a seperate map, and gave each map the name of the mod. Printscreen 2, 3 and 4 are showing the contents of each seperate map and mod. Would you please be so kind to explain me again, now looking at my printscreens, how to act in order to get your mods installed and working? Hope to hear from uou again soon. Thank you! Cheers!! Okay, thanks for your swift reply. I'll look into that as soon as I return from the office today. Cheers!! Robert.

Hi Consti, I've been following your work for some time now and I just need to ask you, because I really don't understand. But that is obviously because I am not a modder my self as you know. All those wonderful mini mods you're making and showing us and whiping us of our feet with, (well, at least I am still trying to get up again ? ) what is it that we, as non modders and just being simple EM5-players, are to expect of these mods? Are these mini mods yet to be downloaded, installed and used/played in the German EM5 game itself, or are these mini mods only to be used as being examples for the other modders to work with and/or maybe even to be integrated in the bigger EM5 mods they are developing themselves? If, us EM5-players, are able to download these mini mods and already have them installed inside the German EM5-game to play with, please tell us where to download them. If that is not the case yet, please tell us what we can look forward to with your doing. Hope to hear from you soon! Cheers!! ? Robert.

Okay, I never was aware of that option... Thanks! Cheers!!

Thanks Rangerdog for responding this fast. I'm at work right now, so I won't be able to play until later later this evening but, to understand you correctly, I assume you mean to rightclick the firemen so I will get a new icon menu to have the fireman acting? And I also assume I should have the ladder connected to the hydrant first and have the pump running before having the fireman entering the ladder... right? Cheers, Robert.

Hi guys, I just downloaded your Harbor City 5 mod - really awesome. Now I do need your help working with the ladder. I know I can start activating the ladder by clicking the "Gears" icon In the menu, which is stationing the ladder solid to the ground, but then what? I also notice there is a "basket up" icon, but when pressing that button nothing happens; even after connecting the ladder on a hydrant through a fire hose. Also, I cannot seem to get the fireman inside the basket. I am sure there is a procedure here to follow but I am probably missing something here. So my question surely must be obvious: how do I get a fireman inside the basket, to have him extinguish the fire from "way up high? Please tell me the exact steps to follow, the moment the ladder arrives at the scene. Cheers!! Robert.

Thanks for your reply Consti. It's obvious you're a real tribute to our forum, as well as to our mod developers. As I'm sure you're well aware of, I'm not a modder myself, but I'm sure as hell glad you joined the club. ;-) Cheers!! Robert.

Hey man, Looking at the things you are accomplishing right now, I'm really impressed. Knowing that over the years tons of EM4 mods were being developed (one even more good looking than the other), and EM4 mods are continuously being newly developed or under moderation as we speak, I am pleased to see that you are doing all this work for the EM5/-2016 games. No offence now, but are these "small pieces of art" just there to show us of what you are capable of, or are these mods to be implemented in any future EM5/EM2016 mod developments like maybe the future EM5/-2016 American mod(s) or even the hopefully soon to be released Bieberfelde NextGeneration mod? Or, could it be that maybe you are working on your own mod right now that we don't know nothing about yet, or are you even cooperating in in someone else's mod development? Are your small mods to be downloaded, now or in the near future? Please tell us; but whatever your reasons: you're doing a great job! Please keep up the good work. Cheers!! Robert

Hi William, Unfortunately your pictures are not yet visible, but seeing and reading about the things you're working on this last year is quite impressive to me, so I'm convinced that your traffic control devices are sharing the same level. Mind you, I am not a modder myself as you're probably aware of by now, but still... I am so glad that FINALLY, modders are now really getting interested in modding EM5 as well, if not - making real efforts to let it happen already. I always loved to play the American Mods in EM4, and I noticed the evolution of these EM4 mods nowadays are really breathtaking... Now, getting acquainted, with the first EM5 Mods: Dutch Mod (WIP) and the probably soon to be released EM5 Bieberfelde Next Generation Mod - just check out the Bieberfelde mod EM4 version, I am really looking forward to the first American Mods for EM5. I know that Ben12 , recently started on working on his EM5 Chicago Mod. But I wouldn't be surprised if you are both helping each other out with your projects. Anyway, keep up the good work! Cheers!! Robert.

You can download your mods from the "Downloads" tab on this forum and place these mods (usually .RAR files) on your computer in any map you wish. Once installed the EM5/EM2016 game, there are two ways to have your mod installed: 1) When starting up the game, there will be a Modification menu visible. Through this menu you can select the MOD file from your selected computer map by clicking "ADD FILE". You do NOT have to unpack the .RAR file in order to have it installed. When selecting the file, just click "OK" inside the Modifications menu and wait a couple of seconds... all done! The name of the Mod will be visible in the Modifications menu. 2) Also, you could simply move the .RAR file from your selected computer map to the modifications area of the modifications tab from your Emergency 5 or Emergency 2016 launcher. No additional installation required. Be advised however: In order to have your mod activated and working make sure that the square next to the installed mod is highlighted. Cheers!! Robert.

Hey Ben, Reading your post, it is obvious why you'd go for the city of Chicago for developing your American mod. Interpreting the tone of your post, leads me to think you have a ton of ideas for the creation of the Chicago mod as well. And last but not least, considering the fact that both New York and LA are well represented in EM4, Chicago definitely will be a challenge to be developed. Especially in EM5/2016. Also, let's not forget that our German friends are now making a EM5/EM2016 version of their (really impressive) EM4 Bieberfelde mod. Doing so, they promised to release their source codes to make sure that (new) EM5 modders, are being able to use these source codes freely for their own (future) mods to be created. I’m sure it’s going to be a really big step forward to all EM5 modders because, in this last year I learned from both “Godra” and “FrozenOne”, that the German modders are in very close contact with the SixteenTon’s manufacturer, regarding modding issues and how to resolve these problems. It turned out that the German manufacturer is very helpful to, alas only (??), the German modders. I know you are most eager to receive those source codes, as probably most (future) EM5 modders are, so this surely will help you in making your Chicago mod probably perfect. So regarding your choice for the Chicago mod, I'd say: Go for it! I’m so glad that EM5 modding now finally seems taking a flight… Cheers!! Robert.

It should give no problems, but -to be on the safe side-, you could choose to run EM4 in Windows 10 under the Windows XP (Servicepack 3) compatibility mode... Cheers!! Robert
