If you watch the redirect script the vehicle hesitates before making the turnaround, so in the end he would probrably slow you up more waiting on him to make the choice on his path before your emergency vehicle can commit to yours, especially if he is bumper-to-bumper with the vehicle in front of his, your truck would become the "path blocker" when it closed in. Add in the potential pitfalls when requested in the middle of an intersection, 4 lane roads, OR when the vehicle was angled on whether or not it would re-direct the proper vehicle.. It is worth a shot should a scripter desire to try to do it, however the redirect script will cause the cars to turn around instead of pull over. For the time it takes (depending on traffic density) for the path to clear I think in the end you will find your emergency vehicle did a better job of getting by on it's own. As for the AI finding a path, generally it does ok at this, however if it is on a "corrupted" path that forces it to engage something solid, it will run into it rather than realize it is there... by the time it figures out it's a physical object it's already too close to formulate a way off of it, thus you end up with the parked abandoned car syndrome where it turns off and just rots there... During testing of the new freeplay map I caused this mistake with a telephone pole and every single car that came down that road did the exact same thing one by one by one into one another's rear ends till they were all stopped. Although I must say did a terrific job parallel parking on the curb. Goodluck to whomever thinks they can crack this one, if you can find a way to script it so they don't have to waste the time thinking about a new path, it might work.

You would require a great deal of pictures of the units used in order for people to even stand a shot of being able to help you with this mod, unfortunately most of us are North American or European Union so I doubt someone here speaks arabic... Most of us probrably don't even have the "fonts" to do arabic writing so we would need pictures to try to guess our way through doing a mod with arabic script on the vehicles, however many you would desire to have in the mod. Most people here have probrably never even seen some of the vehicles used as police cars in nations like Dubai.

Press and hold CTRL then using the left mouse button grab the smaller boxes that run along the side of the path and drag the path in or out to scale that section of the path to the size you wish it to be.

The problem is how paths work it is not like each path is a "lane" it is in fact both sides of the road, the game was designed in a way that generally speaking most the roads were assumed to be two-lanes only, traffic on either side. Due to this it makes it extremely difficult to make pathing that would flow as a normal street would for example, especially on roads with multiple lanes.

Alternatively, use pictures! as long as they are centered on the vehicle you can use a photograph as a blueprint with one problem. Scaling might be off due to the distance which the pictures were taken causing "perspective" shift in the size/length/width of the vehicle, this is easilly corrected if you know the rough specs of the vehicle. Find a comprable vehicle model and scale to it, such as you know your sprinter is smaller than a fire engine, use the fire engine to scale roughly to where it should be. On many sites you will find their "blueprints" are simply photographs that were correctly taken for the purpose.

There is a reason why the LAFD Batt truck was done on the older suburban instead of the new one, originally the vehicle was built on a tahoe (different design model wise). When I had to do the conversion to make the tahoe into a suburban I just happened to do the older one first and unfortunately it was a royal pain in the tailpipe... Hence no new suburban was done, just the old suburban, and it's two tahoe brothers... Otherwise the LA mod would have gotten an Gov suv that is more accurate(generally they have the suburbans).

In the end my two cents are just as has already been mentioned these "special" sub divisions of the respective agencies (Capitol Police, FBI Police, and so on and so forth) are generally really well paid "presence" babysitters... In the end with as many times as I've seen them all including the much more nationally common FPS (Federal Protective Service) they generally are not doing anything more than making a presence known and menial security checks, as far as running around doing menial leo tasks that is more often than not the case.. They just babysit their assigned "facility" and if an incident should arise they are conveniently on site to address it. The FBI it's self has massive amounts of sub divisions some of which are issued a gun but probrably never in their life will even have to draw it. Others like HRT out of quantico pretty much is guarenteed if they are called up that they will be responding with some measure of force. The FBI police IMO does not represent a really useful addition unless you wanna take the time to park it in front of a federal building and leave it there all day (since from my experiences that is usually where you see all these special police cars at... sitting parked).

From my experience IF there is any collision data object along the path where the vehicle would pull over you will end up with it running into it if it is "forced" into that direction, the AI is not smart enough to stop and think until it is too late, once they get close to it, they try to think for about 3 seconds, then the car's lights go out and it parks there permanently. The scripting end is out of my "realm" so maybe a scripter can help describe how it could potentially work, but in the end from my experience with a misplaced path before I can tell you that it will likely result in a parking lot of parked cars that will not move ever again if there is anything with collision data where they are running.

This would be a game issue as far as the pathfinding goes, we can't really smarten up the driving skills of the AI there unfortunately. In the end they are more or less driving school rejects=( The idea of making them pull over might work, but in the end it would also probrably pose bugs which would result in the civie traffic having their own pathing issues if for example they pulled over onto/near a telephone pole or a parked car or such they will just "stop" and stay there permanently.

British Army Cadet: FUBAR buddy if that means what my military knowlegable mind knows it to mean is totally inappropriate and will earn you a warning if you don't remove that... You may PM me regarding your "interpretation" of the acronymn and if you intended different than what I know it to mean then we'll see but it is very inappropriate if it is what I know it as. Next up: Bennie, if he is modding it for personal use he can tinker with it however he wishes as long as he does not distribute it without the consent of the original author(s) which I guess would be you, if he tries to what would probrably happen aside from the insane flaming he'd take is that He would probrably be banned flat out. He is welcome to experiment using your item(s) for his personal use but until he has your permission(s) he can't distribute... Out of respect I would hope he would recognize the fact of what you and whomever might be involved did and ask your permission before attempting to release it. Next: Explorer Some things are just not worth mentioning, yes your comments make sense 100% but in the end there is no way to know for sure if things will work every time, give me your mod and unless you've idiot proofed it I can find a way to break it, that is the nature of software development even if you are only modding it.... I just went through the EM4 Modding Section and SPAMMED every topic (bumping those who've complied last so they'd go to the front) I won't be doing that to the modding teams, hopefully they are responsible enough to do this on their own rather than forcing the staff to do PMs or Read the whole topic to figure out what is up with their mod. Unfortunately I can't do a MASS PM bomb or I would've done that, instead I must settle for a 42 Post count for the day...... Oh how I love my work=) Thanks to all who have complied, you were pushed back to the top so you were not "shortchanged" by those who did not do it yet.
