  1. If you want someone to help you find pictures they would have to know what the vehicle is in order to hunt it down. Most of those "custom" equiptment rigs are just that, custom in many ways. Different lights, different lighting placement, and different things on the rear of the equiptment box.
  2. Asking for release dates is strictly prohibited, at the top of every Topic it is clearly written in bold writing. Refrain from asking for release dates in the future.
  3. Not with Z1, no, you Require Zmod 2 in order to do the V3O format... Z1 can do 3Ds and things like that, so you can go from z1 to z2 and vice versa but you have to go through Z2 in order to create a new V3O or open an existing one.
  4. Zmod 1 Can not import V3O's only Z2 can do that, the only way to go from V3O to Z1 is with Zmod 2.
  5. It's smart to keep things close to the vest so that if you change your tactics or concept of what you intended to do vs. actually do, nobody is the wiser except for you as the developer... It's the same reason I keep what I do hidden until it's done=)
  6. As far as I can remember XP/Vista/7 all "hide" the file extension from the user unless told not to do this. What I mean is, that "Readme.txt" shows only as "Readme" the .txt portion is hidden from view, in order to correct this, go into "My Computer" I'm not sure if you can see the file menu at the top, if not I think it's F10 to display the File Menu.... Under Tools You will find Folder Options. In the View Tab of Folder Options find the checkbox with "Hide Extensions for known File Types", UNCHECK that and press ok, you can now see the extensions and rename the files to whatever you need them to be. When you change the .dds to .V3O you will get a warning pop-up that says: If you change a file extension, the file may become unusable Are you sure you want to change it? Yes is the answer you need to choose. From there load the editor and UNPACK the file and then rename it back to DDS you can now edit the skin.
  7. A good starting point is to look through the tutorials section: Tutorials People will explain certain things if you get stumped, but I don't think anyone has the time to explain everything to someone. So my suggestion is to read the tutorials that we provide and see what you can learn from them. If you get stumped then it might be worthwhile to ask a question, but asking such a general question as how do you make cars or skins or anything like that is probrably a bit too much to ask.
  8. I tried doing this with my fire engine, and unfortunately rapid deployment would 9 out of 10 times fail to hook the guy to the front of the engine.... If they don't use rapid deployment for their mod it works fine on the nose, you just manually have to tell the guy to link to it.
  9. Complaint: food poisoned.. (I can't even guess what I ate that did it which makes it worse ) Sub-Complaint: I generally dislike people and it is unlawful to just kill them. (especially those who work in food services)
  10. *points at avatar for NFK=) The three wise cops are all lined up in there if ya look closely, the Vic, the Wimp and the new Imp.
  11. I am working on my own mod, I'm not sure I think NFK is going to do his own too... I'm pretty good so far on my own on my mod, but maybe NFK can use the help=) And NFK I asked you which one ya needed, ya could've had the older one
  12. We already know where we're going when our time on earth is up.. We're working on better parking spaces there
  13. well he cheated, he just had to add some changes like that diagonal slash on the rear of the box, the doors already had crests on them and the side writing just needs a bit of UV change and he could pass it off fairly well as his rescue truck. =) He also had to strip my EMS crap off the ambulance and stole the lightbar from somewhere I won't even ask where he found that To be totally honest I have no clue what else all he changed on my skin since I tend to build em and forget em=)
  14. *Sighs, can we move back onto the topic of this modification please? If anyone has any comments about THIS mod feel free to post them be whatever they may, but just move along from the other guy's comments and worry about this mod in this topic.
  15. UV map was for my mod he just hurried up and tossed on a skin for the sake of putting on the least effort possible to see if anyone would comment about the writing being skewed.. My mod's ambulance has the writing on there differently than his text fit=)
  16. =) No way can I manage that type of record without every base in 100% done before hand.. Even at my best I can do one new model a week, and that rarely happens due to time. Was a semi-cruel April Fool's joke, but we are both working on mods separately so never you guys worry, you will eventually get two new mods (the cars were reskinned from my mod by NFK, I did not even do the reskins) He is working on his and I'm working on mine but for the purpose of April 1 he needed a loaner=)
  17. Yeah that's how they get ya in the door, they list the price as one thing, but once they tally everything up on it... You very quickly end up paying a good bit more than you figured. I grabbed the pricing from the Dodge website, so they are the "Base MSRP" for each respective model, and unfortunately for a fleet vehicle such as a cop car even the crappy Charger is simply out of reach for most departments.. Especially when you consider most of them would want at least the R/T model. Shame Dodge overpriced that car so much because it is a very good car.
  18. There is such a thing as constructive critisism, but just saying I don't like it or it looks like crap does not help the modder improve their models at all. Hence the warning for his conduct for his inability to be respectful in critisizing their work.
  19. That's for NFK, The coroner's van is next in line.
  20. Trying my best here. But with such a tight deadline I'm not sure bud but I'll do my best.
  21. Net MSRP*$44,200 The price has come down ever so slightly since I last checked on it... but still that's nuts for a car that is what the charger is. Cheapest model is 25,140 for the middle of the pack you're looking at close to 32,000... In the end for a "fleet service vehicle" that's too much money, and the one that cops would drool to have... Is well beyond nuts at 44, instead of the 52 it was when I knew someone who had one.
  22. Which costs too much at around 50 grand for the good model.
  23. Hence, why these things are called concept cars, the whole point is to show what you COULD do to a car, not what would be practical or profittable to do... The whole point is to try to create a "buzz" around the product, chances are why it's a christmas tree as well as the Nuke detection capabilities... Just a toy to get people talking, which apparently it was mission accomplished.
