Yes it is, but this is not it, nor is it a topic for it. *see the Bold in your quote=)

In V1 I did not do/include a stakebed truck to carry the things, so they are not a unit-usable feature they are only possible through the DCU truck, to remove them, simply tell an officer to pick them up and they will be removed from the map... In a future version once a vehicle which is accurate is developed they will be deployable similar to the LA mod barricades, but in the current version they can only be placed by the DCU van it's self, then removed by the riot cops... They can't be picked up and repositioned manually.

We debated this issue, and in theory it should work in MP in it's current form, however some scripts will not work correctly in MP due to the fact that well, for V1 we didnt really focus on MP nor did we test it at all, the way the mod is setup should permit Multi-Player to be playable though, it just is not as elaborate as the SP version is at this time, in future versions we will add more to the MP aspect but for V1 SP was the primary focus. This mod is a Version One mod of a BRAND NEW MOD! This mod is not based on the LA mod, much as people want to think this, I'm sorry it is not the case... Putting back the arrest command in the patrol cars never existed, that is an LA mod feature, not an NY mod feature, sorry the mods are two separate entities so things this one has the LA one will not, and likewise this one. The fire extinguishers in patrol cars might find it's way into the mod in a later version but I am not sure, I don't want this mod being too easy. American cars take time to build, you see NYC is unique compared to Los Angeles, so adding in a ton of random odd vehicles probrably would not look the same because well, in NY most the cars are cabs or limo service sedans, usually Lincolns, and SUVs... Takes time to make models like that, the cars I have in my stable that I've built already won't fly in NYC because they are not fitting for the city.. But hey everyone seems to think rome was built overnight as I've said before.
-
Well, the biggest issue is people apparently think rome was built overnight, they seem to forget that this is just Version one of a new modification that borrowed some features from the LA Mod, it was not based on the LA mod, if it were it would've taken around 6 months to a year instead of the 1.5 years it did take to develop to this point.... We are not nearly done with this mod yet, we just will be spacing the updates out so that they are more comprehensive instead of here's a new truck or here's a new script, I want to add several features at once, hopefully reducing the bugs that exist per version along with compatibility issues because people don't have the same exact version of the game... Makes development and bug reporting alot easier IMO. A patch will be required for the V1 rendition of the mod, we are aware of this and are currently attempting to resolve the issues that have been pointed out to us, some of them are oversight, some are deliberate, either way we will do the best we can to resolve em as we can=) Unfortunately I know the scripts and what not will not directly port to EM3 from this version, the models probrably could but whether or not EM3 would lag I can't say for sure.. At this time there are not plans to pursue an EM3 version of this mod due to the fact that the EM4 version is not completed yet.

meanie bear is a scandanavian grey wolf, don't make such assumptions he's the same as voodie!

911:FR comes patched to 1.3 in all versions far as I know... What you are experiencing is a bug that is caused by the fact that well, most of our computers are massively more powerful than the original game intended them to be.... So what happens is the lights end up changing so fast maybe one car gets sent through the light, then it holds them, this allows them to stack up and then they get stuck... The easiest fix for this is to edit the timing of the lights in the editor, the last number by default is 2 I believe, try setting this to 4 and it usually behaves better, you must do this to all traffic LIGHT objects. Click on a light with the left mouse button open it's properties and simply change the name of it, then press ok... Do this with every light on the map and then save the map and you should no longer have this issue.

That would quite well sum it up, being that this mod is not from any specific location of NYC makes having the stations "vehicle-specific" as they are in reality would not really work considering they are from all over NYC. Doing another station in my opinion considering that sadly we can't make the map larger really serves no significant purpose other than to remove potential missions from you. In the original map, hazardous materials really does not get much play time, in a future release with a new map we will make hazmat see more use because it is indeed challenging, but even then I really don't believe hazmat needs to be on the map given their limited uses in the game. The bomb squad issue I have not ran into myself I tend to be able to get to the thing before it blows up, but we can always tweak that a bit if it is too much=) The problem is I'm not the smartest person when it comes to NY units, and a TSU truck appears to me to have another boat on board it, and serve as an equiptment truck.. If I am mistaken please correct me, but I feel that other than the boat the thing probrably is not overly necessary, and adding another boat may prove to be very buggy considering how the R1 boat functions seem to be causing people issues as well.. I've not had problems with it yet but I have not tested the boat very much from on top of it to be totally honest.

Correct, the horn is manually triggered by holding SHIFT+clicking the button . It will redirect people clear of the vehicle so that the vehicle may proceed unimpeded, however it does not work on vehicles because this would probrably cause path obstruction issues because of your vehicle obstructing where it would want to turn around in order to get out of the way.. In the end it's easier if your vehicle just finds it's own way around them most the time. The development of this one was hidden to prevent people hounding for updates and what all was going to be in it=) even we didnt know what all we were going to be able to fit into V1 bug-free.

Hazmat missions on the original map are kinda rare, we didnt really mod the map too much for this version, that's for a different day=) The mod will retain basis on the original game because I don't want to make it too unstable by adding too many dynamic things to this mod. The more complex you make the dynamic things (things that run full-time) the more prone they are to intermittant failures. As for new missions that once again is something for a later subsequent version of the mod, making missions takes time sadly and for right now we kinda want to get the mod as comprehensive as possible and resolve all the bugs. The barricades are something I've considered for later versions, however in reality NYC uses barricade trucks to carry them, since at the moment they serve limited purpose I did not wish to take the time to make the stakebed truck that would be required to carry them, it just is not realistic to have them inside car trunks or suv trunks for example, so perhaps in a later version we will make it to where a truck can carry them onto the map and deploy them. NFK summed up the "water cannon" this mod will have to employ pretty well, which is why amongst other features it was omitted for the version one release.
-
Our short-term objectives are to simply fix the bugs that are known to exist in the current version, very limited changes to gameplay will occur in the patch for this version, in later subsequent versions we will be adding more features but for the time being our primary focus is to make V1 as bug-free as possible... Certain issues are just game-related bugs which we can't overly resolve because they are inconsistient in occurance and generally unpredictable as to what causes them. In the next "real" update version we will be adding features/changing some of the things we do not feel we did 100% accurately, but for now in the first version we have a good deal of smaller bugs to resolve, unlike other modifications this one will not see little updates that make version 1.1,1.2,1.3 etc within rapid succession, instead we will be doing the updates in larger bundles to prevent compatibility issues within the game versions themselves along with making it easier to track/resolve the bugs that may come to exist because of any subsequent changes we do.

Check bold statements in your quote=) The problem is that unfortunately there appears to be a corruption in your game installation, if it was a digital download apparently some of the sites that do the digital install do not correctly setup the registry for the game, I believe someone in tech support successfully resolved this issue in the past, I am unsure how to do this myself as there are EM4/EM4 Deluxe and 911:FR versions of the game, so there is not a singular answer for what you must edit/add to your registry files in order for the mod installer to correctly work. The LA mod uses a custom-installer to install it's self, this mod uses the game's default mod package installer which ships with the game to install it's self.. Unfortunately for some people who've seemed to have had problems with their mod installer not working it unfortunately requires a Registry Entry Edit to resolve it. I've never had this problem so I am not sure exactly what the registry code entries have to be to fix your game's installation. Likewise (not implying you) people who've just copied the game from other's computers or downloaded the game will probrably have problems installing it because they never properly installed the game.

Sounds like your GPU overheated, a safety mechanism causes the computer to automatically restart, if severely overheating they just simply shut down 100%.... Check ur fans make sure the are clear and working correctly.

The DCU is included in a van in this mod, that specific humvee unit is not currently in the mod because of the extremely complex scripting required to make it work without bugs was too great to attempt for Version1.
-
A horrible hoax for april fools day... Took 1.5 years to make, hopefully everyone enjoyed the hoax=) This version is just V1 of the mod, in order to clip compatibility issues seen in the LA mod I'm doing less versions of the mod, which will mean longer waits between updates to it, but hopefully less bugs and less patches will be required to fix the modification in subsequent versions. Some features I deliberately dumped b/c they made the game too easy, others to be honest are very complex and just caused far too many bugs to pursue for V1... Such is the nature of this game the elusive disappearing/reappearing bug scenario.
-
As I've said already in this mod's information about it some features of the LA mod were NOT included because in my opinion it made the game too easy to do, I did not want to remove the strategy of the game and make the game to where the user did not have to interact with a scenario... ESU teams for example can be sent as-needed, since it effects your budget what you send out that is not already on the map having an ESU "force" show up to me was not necessary, since in most instances the ESU Light Pickup with a bearcat would suffice, the large ESU really is not required.. This is not the Los Angeles mod, so you can't expect all the features to be exactly the same as that mod=)

Depressingly, voodoo there is right... If people had at least semi-reasonable common sense to apply to this site's forums we'd be extremely lazy on enforcing much of anything.. Unfortunately the juvie count on this site is extremely biased vs. the responsible proper members that can play nicely with one another.... When you mix and mingle people of varying ages, you're usually going to end up with problems... Trust me we'd much rather do our own thing in our own little worlds rather than having to actually moderate left and right, but unfortunately people love to try to be clever and side-step a rule which is why so many of them here are more arbitrary instead of being "firm" rules... Semantics may work in the court of law, but in the law of common sense everyone should know the intended purpose of a rule. I'd much rather drink and just pop by and see everything is appropriate, but unfortunately some members forget children do roam this site because it is an all-ages type of game, means that content has to be watched far more carefully... I'm not saying the majority is prone to misbehaving, as is always the case it's a small group that always ends up ruining things for everyone, but such is the progression of life, if the world were fair we wouldnt have to play kindergarden teachers... But unfortunately it isnt how it works, and sadly alotta decent normal members get caught in the crossfire because of the occasional one that think they are clever and try to side-step the rules.... Love it or leave it, we have to try to keep things under control and unfortuantely it's a tough job sometimes to do that. As voodie said ty for being mature in voicing your critisisms towards us, you could've went the route many favor and acted like a juvie with insults a'plenty but you voiced your opinion and we actually do read em when they are written mature=)

Enjoy=) Starzfan31, check in tech support I think somewhere it's covered how to resolve that issue of that saying not installed... Have fun please dun find alotta bugs we hate them.

Only the standard ladder type is currently available, the tower ladder is not available in this version and a tiller will never be available as I am not satisfied with how it must be made to work in this game. Other aspects have not been added yet and I doubt they will make it into this version.

We've already done all the models for this release so we're fine there. We've already got the beta testing end pretty well done, few more tests. I started this roughly a year and a half ago... Itis a New York Mod what in the world would I change it to? "Not the NY mod you're thinking of?" Sadly there are alotta nymods so it will just stay the same theirs is advanced mine isnt=)

We are used to being called evil names.. it goes with the territory of managing to attempt to keep a site under control, if it makes you feel better to call us names feel free, even though it's against the TOS to Troll/flame... But I digress, so when is this mod comming out?

This is a modification for Emergency 4/911: FR which includes a representation of thecity of New York and all subsequent apparatus and personnel. The modification is designed towork within the original framework of the game while adding new functions and features tomake the game more realistic while preserving the strategy aspect of the original game play. This mod features about 50 new vehicles all of which have some special purpose in mindrequiring you to take the time to think about what it is you’ll need to send to address thesituation at hand. Currently there is a functional but unsupported Multi?player mode, we donot support this feature at this time as we’ve not tested this extensively enough to guaranteethat it is bug-free It does support MP function though. Free-play however, is supported and any bugs pertaining to the free playmode of the game will be looked into for subsequent patches necessary if the bug is a majorissue.MikeyPI: Team leader and 3D modeler for this mod.Hoppah: Team scripter, vehicle coding and bug fixer. Sadly, the majority of the cost of education of aviation training comes from meeting the flight hour requirements, which rapidly climbs depending on the aircraft-type.... for a VFR Single Prop it's about 5-6,000 USD but as you go up the ladder so too does the cost of certification on the things=-( unfortunately the more spensive the birdie the more they charge to learn to fly the thing
-
Flying is routine these days, but with so many people in the industry and the fact the planes are well, pretty much fly-by-themselves now... Commercial pilots are nothing more than cattle car fliers of the friendly skies, too many planes with too little ATC so it's a pain in the backside on larger airfields..... The money is still very good (don't let them fool you) but if you paid your own way yeap it'll take a long time to actually see the fruits of your labor... IFR rating on a puddle jumper won't eat you alive, you really only start getting raped when you hit into the multi-engine aircraft, particularly jet powered. Private pilots make VERY good money but it's definately not the most entertaining job in the world, if you're looking for respect and admiration you're in the wrong field... You're there to make a decent buck, nothing more... nothing less=) But if you enjoy it and somehow can afford to pay for it, it's a decent gig other than the fact your home really isnt where you spend any time unless you're a regional operated pilot, otherwise you'll spend most nights in hotels.
-
Fly private, better food, better service and less cattle-car feelings for the flight, especially if you're flying 15 hours on the thing=) Sadly, in the USA if you're flying you're screwed, they equally rape err imean "surcharge" for things that used to be free.... Kinda sad really when your luggage flying with you for free is a perk of flying an airline! 172/182's are the world's most popular trainer props out there... The older ones are reliable enough but sadly fall into disrepair as most things do with age and a rookie in control of a bird that might have issues is not the best of ideas, so they tend to favor the newer guys since they are usually pretty reliable about not having severe failures.... If you take it above the single engine prop certification I hope you have alotta money=( tis very expensive very fast to learn to fly a multi-engine jet.
