select all the vertices of the vehicle's body in vertice mode, Surface>mapping>edit uv, under the options keep the original mapping it will pop up in the UV mapper, go back to obj mode, then into vertice mode again, click on the model somewhere and lil red dots will show up... Move the ones that are out of place back to roughly where they belong... That happened because either someone made an error or zmod did it's infamous screw with the UV and break it routine that it pulls from time to time.

thats just the problem childs can be placed separately from the car they are applied to, what you do is look for the childs applied to the vehicle within the editor under childs, once you know that A. there are childs, and B. the child's filenames, you can either use the search feature of windows to look for them in the mod folder, or manually look in the folders... Most people keep them in mods\modname\models\ from there it can be under objects or vehicles depending on the mod and how organized they are in their setup.

you changed the polygons of the model, so those polygons are not mapped on the UV mapper, my suggestion is to reset the UV map and restart it over: *see tutorial* http://forum.emergency-planet.com/tutorials/article/3-zmodeler-2-uv-mapping-texturing/

The lights were childs in the other modification that you got the ambulance from, check under childs in that mod and you will likely find the parts elsewhere for those things.

check in the mods folder, IE C:\program files\911 FR\mods\offending mod\ delete the folder from that location and the offending files will be gone.

It's my homage to the people out there with 20-30 banners and/or the ones with banners that are a screen in of themselves.. In the words of hoop we gna end up with carpel tunnel in in our scrolling fingers. Realize I had to resize that thing twice because in the first attempts it was still too small to make the point rofl

The issue has nothing to do with windows 8... The reason you are seeing this is because of the fact that your computer is faster than the old configuration was. You have to go into the editor and manually adjust the timing of each intersection light to slow them down and make the duration longer. simply adjust the light timing on ALL lights to be I believe its higher for the last number to make the duration longer... you'd have to check though. EX: traffic_2_1_4 Do this to all lights on the map and they should have a longer duration

The crazy characters means that the v3o is still locked with the em4 editor, open the editor, and unpack the v3o... There is a topic that explains it but in simple terms you have to rename the model from for example model.v3o to model.dds, and unpack the file, then rename it back to model.v3o once that is done and it will show up normal and you will find a line similar to mine, SRF <whatever the modder named the texture selection in zmod> ,0,0,0 <texture filename.extension>

it means that your game is not complete/installing correctly, if that is the case then your issues with wherever you got it from warrant them replacing it.

I've answered this one repeatedly... That happens because the texture is missing either because you did not put the texture in the same folder as the model, or you renamed the texture file to something else and did not save the new texture associated to the .v3o. Either open the model in zmod and re-associate the texture to the model, or open the model in notepad and find the lines referencing the model's texture and manually rename them to match the current texture name. SRF, Body, 0, 0, 0, bear01.png, 517, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0SRF, Interior, 0, 0, 0, bear012.png, 517, 2, 0, 0, 0, 0, 1, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0change bear01.png for example to whatever your new texture is and save the file.

To be totally honest, it's where we both started out in modding things, we built the smaller parts as they are easier than a full-blown car, but in the end we will give you the parts we did, the rear taillight guards still need to be built so perhaps it'd be nice to do them to see that it isnt too bad to do it.

I'd try to find out who made it so you can properly credit whoever was responsible for it.

Make sure the vehicle is oriented correctly in ZMOD 2 IE: top is top down, sides are correct, front/back correct, then select all the model parts and under display>Local Axis> Reset to parent, right click Display> Local Axis> Reset to world, Right click Export the files, that should correct it.

Sad reality is except for the really unique/unusual lightbar, most of the american standard lightbars are already out there between all the mods out there.

The real differences between the series tend to be minimal, however a F-550 is generally much beefed up in performance in suspension for a work-duty setup, meaning that the ride height of a 550 is higher than the 250/350 series, thus why all 550's have the tire well flare standard, with the bumper extended outward from the body, this is to conceal/support the beefed up wheel/suspension added to the 550 chassis. The rest of the body dimensions to my knowledge remain the same for a 350/550, not unlike a chevy 1500-3500 truck/van, the outward differences are pretty unremarkable, it's mainly in the performance parts like powertrain and suspension.

The problem with making a lightbar for any use is it must be 100% customizable, meaning it is mapped/skinned to have every cell altered... That type of skin takes up alotta real estate on a skin, so you'd end up with a ton of textures devoted to only lighting on the vehicles. I always just make new parts as-needed, if you have the modeling skills to make a mod, then really most lightbars are either A. Out there already, or B. fairly easy to make yourself in a very short window of time... Same with pushbumpers, spotlights, and other equiptment. Most of it is fairly easy to model fast.

911:FR must be installed correctly, then uninstalled correctly before you can install EM4, since EM4 ships at a lower version than 911 FR does, manual deletion of the files does not remove the registry codes.. You will have to reinstall 911:FR correctly, then uninstall it correctly to fix this issue. The other option is to manually remove the registry keys that are in your registry which is problematic if you are not an advanced computer user.

Legitimate installations will be listed in the add/remove programs in windows, if it ain't there then it wasnt correctly installed.

The problem is that every mod uses different scaling, but as a general rule you use a constant in the game IE a fire engine or an ambulance, from the mod that you intend to replace, I prefer ambulances because they have a standard cab from some real-world vehicle, that vehicle's scale (assuming it is correct) will correlate to any and all traffic vehicles you add into the game. The reality most people forget about is that perspective applies even in real life to a vehicle, so while it doesnt seem right sometimes the size of a vehicle is massively different than you think by seeing it. 2006 Dodge Charger Length:200.1 Inches Width: 74.5 Inches Height: 58.2 Inches 2006 Ford Crown Victoria: L: 212 Inches W: 78.3 Inches H: 65.6 Inches As you can see a Vic is larger than a charger in every possible way, but most people by the look/stance of a charger assume it is larger than a crown victoria, in reality it is not. The problem lies in the percieved appearance of a car making your mind believe things that factually don't happen. So you have to google the dimensions of the particular car vs a car you've gotten scaled correctly, and adjust accordingly.
