Like I said, chances are as NFK said, and I agree with em, you guys are missing files for the audio in your game version for the language you are using, most everyone with this problem i'm betting had the German ver of the game and swapped it over to english, in doing so it changed where to look for the files, or the file names, thus no audio sound.

Tbh... for these types of vehicles it's just the front (cab area) that requires any time, otherwise most these vehicles of the same classes have pretty much the same setup rear n sides. I wouldnt expect to put too much time into making a skin for either of these.

Supposedly, make sure the files are not read-only will resolve this, to make changes to their properties, most people will have to copy them to the desktop, change the files properties, and put them back into the game folder where they belong..... I tend to agree with nfk, it is most likely that the files required for your language version are missing or improperly placed in the folders.

I'd go with an error in a script for my viewpoint, probrably siren script, but i'm taking a shot in the dark on it since there isnt anything but a CTD to go off..... This is why when you make a mod, you add one vehicle at a time and verify it works before you go onto the next, makes troubleshooting alot easier.

Chances are you have a dummy or something in the unit that should not be there causing a crash, the game is crashing because something is missing/incorrect on that vehicle, most likely within the editor you will find the item that should not be there. If all that is correct then it is most likely a mistake in the xml files for the vehicle. When a script is the culprit it usually will cause a pop-up when the game crashes, if you alt-tab instead of CTRL-ALT-DEL when it crashes it will have in that pop-up what the script is that failed and at what line.

It may be a cube, but to round the parts that need to be rounded adds polys to it's cube... The underside, tire wells, front bumper clip, and the angles for the sides. Mine for the same type is 1427...

Its ur pc vid card at fault, chances are the video card drivers were updated (probrably without you knowing it) and it has set up the configuration to override the EM4 settings. Make sure that the settings on your video card are for an app to snap to maintain aspect ratio, not to snap to full screen and it should stop filling the screen instead you will return to having the black bars on the right and the left of the game but have the proper ratio. In most cases to do this, you must first go into the screen resolution you wish to run the game in on your desktop (IE change to 1024x768 on your desktop, then under your video card settings you can tell it to maintain aspect ratio instead of full screen, this will cause the desktop to display just like a game does) Apply that setting, then return to your native desktop resolution and the next time the desktop goes into the app that runs at 1024 it should keep maintaining the aspect ratio instead of stretching it to the widescreen format your monitor is.

Copy them to the desktop, then change the settings, then put them back, it will prevent it reverting the settings back.

The model has to be from the original game's folder OR in the mod that you are intending to edit's folder, copy the files that you want in your mod from the mod that it is in, into the mod folder for the montana mod's folder. That should stop the crashing that you are experiencing.

How do you believe most sub-mods/mods in general end up becoming public release? Alot of people posted their WIPs and in turn were able to generate a buzz about them to A.Keep them motivated to keep working at it, which is really hard when you consider the sheer work involved in a mod in this game. B. Generated enough interest to make it much easier to get the permissions required to use the items included in their mod. This site is about sharing your work, not all of it has to be available to the masses in order to be allowed here =)

I operate under the reality that unfortunately not everyone complies with the best of judgement, even LEOs are unfortunately guilty of it sometimes. Human beings are prone to mistakes and errors in judgement.

I could pull up several incidents where the taser has been used on people for minor traffic violations and things of that nature, filming law enforcement (not interfering, just filming them). Believe it or not, not every interaction with law enforcement involves hardened criminals. A good deal of incidents involving law enforcement are emotionally charged, but not the type of incident that requires heavy force to address. Each offense is not created equal, and likewise the response to an offense should be judged by the incident, not by what you have available to use at your disposal alone. Domestic issues (fighting between a couple) for example are rather emotionally charged incident, but rather common incident. As a LEO you must have the ability to address people with diplomacy as well as force when appropriate, such is why alot of law enforcement agencies are looking into psychology degrees along with conventional LEO degrees now. To assume that oh a criminal, we have a right to use whatever force we deem necessary is a great way for a lawsuit to occur, or in mother russia to do the job.

Imagine if every officer around the world had them, the lucky stroke of fate is that not everyone has rubber/plastic bullets, bean bags, or tasers/stun guns. They don't issue a ton of tasers out there, probrably because of cost, so that lowers the number of incidents involving them alot more than say the baton which most officers/security carry. The only less than lethal that has an ungodly rare risk of fatality is the pepper spray/pepper guns.

The problem with tasers are that they are assumed by the class they are assigned "less than lethal" that they are a response that is not quite as bad as a true firearm. Depending on the subject's health conditions (most the time you can't tell someone has these issues outwardly). For example equip them with EKG's to check a suspect before they taze em, not likely. Tasers can be just as deadly to someone as a firearm. In the usa they have a tendency of over-using the taser for non-compliant subjects. Their idea of non-compliant can vary greatly from someone who actually poses a physical threat, to someone who is just non-compliant and argumentative. Excessive force with tasers tends to be a relatively common thing in agencies which are outfitted with them. Because most people do not suffer long-term effects it is accepted far more frequently than if you were to shoot them. However, in some of the population out there, there are many conditions that can be extremely dangerous to hit them with 50,000 volts, leading to cardiac arrest/and or death. Age does not play into this populace, it can be a 15 year old kid, or a 70 year old grandmother that suffers adverse reaction all because they opted to be "non compliant" by asking an officer questions when the officer feels they should not. Training for any weapon is required, but IMO any weapon that can be activated within the blink of an eye is a dangerous thing to give to people without proper training on not only HOW to use them, but also WHEN their use is appropriate. The billy club for example takes a good deal of effort to actively use to inflict serious trauma into a subject, therefore it is less likely to occur, a firearm/taser on the other hand simply draw and squeeze a trigger and you're done. Makes for a far easier go of it when it comes to inflicting trauma. Most people don't think of a taser as a potentially fatal weapon when in some people they unfortunately are very much so, in a small select of the population you're nearly 90% on cardiac arrest as result of the use of them. Beanbag rounds and rubber bullets suffer the same issue, they are classed as less than lethal but if you strike a subject in the wrong place they'll kill em dead just the same as a real round.

Correct, chances are they are colliding with objects on the map and when a civil car comes in contact with an obj that has collision data they attempt to pathfind around it 2x max, then just give up and "park" meaning they can't/won't go anywhere.

the best way to do this is to have two lights placed on top of one another and set the delay for them both so one goes then the other, as to whether it will hold long enough for both flashes before the other one goes requires some tweaking

Correct, they use the Medium-class model trucks like the International/Freightliner cabs for areas which are not serviceable by the 18 wheeler, commercial/industrial districts mostly... They do not use Light-duty box trucks though, DHL did but that was some years ago since they've went kaput on their attempt at US ground. UPS does have some of those sprinters in their fleet, but they make up a marginal concentration in the US.

Welcome to GIMP and why we don't use it, it works differently than other programs (as is always the case) for whatever reason it doesnt do alpha channels in a separate arena like psp/photosux does.. In either of those programs you can simply delete the alpha channel which is alot easier if it doesnt serve a legit purpose.

Delivery companies use the step-van type of vehicle far more than the box type of vehicle, those are mainly used by rental agencies like U-haul
