No 2.1 is the final version of the LA mod that was done.. The supervisor mod must be installed in the installed game directory, not the digital download folder of the game so for example you will find the location to extract in either of these locations: C:\Program Files (x86)\WizardWorks\911 - First Responders\Data\Lang\us\Supervisor Use the above if you have a 64 bit operating system C:\Program Files\WizardWorks\911 - First Responders\Data\Lang\us\Supervisor Use the above if it is a 32-bit operating system. The game will be installed by default to one of those two locations on your hard drive, that is where you install that modification to.

I also modeled one too.

It aint really practical for him to do an animal control vehicle, since every city has different types of animal control vehicles he wouldnt have a vehicle that is "typical" of the us market.. It would end up being a truck perfect for a select group and useless to others. Some cities use straight cargo vans (express/econoline) for animal control, some use box type trucks with doors on the sides, again multiple types of cabs hauling them, some even use pickup trucks... Imo I don't see it as a practical use to try to make an animal control vehicle for a "generic" type of replacement pack, it is to city-specific of a vehicle. It would be like trying to do a coroner van in the pack, not really practical.

911: First Responders won't work. Won't start up.
MikeyPI replied to ResponderJayy's topic in Technical Related Support
That'd be why, when you did the system restore it reset your registry so the values for EM4 are missing in the registry so it cannot find the dll because the install directory is missing... Unfortunately I'm willing to bank I do not have the same OS so my registry is setup different than yours.. What version of windows are you running? and is it 32 or 64 bit. -

Well first i need to know if you restored your computer and/or upgraded to a newer operating system to tell you if that is indeed what is going on. -

Well normally changing operating systems is something the user of the computer does, going from like xp to vista, vista to windows 7 or windows 7 to windows 8 could make the registry go kaput for installed apps... Likewise, say you restored the system to a previous setup, like rolling it back to factory condition for example on a laptop would mess with the registry. Chances are you have a registry issue that is making the dll not found if the game worked previously for you on this machine and now is not. -

Did you for example restore windows or go from say xp to vista/7/8 in an upgrade? Did you change your OS to a newer version? -

Did you change or update your operating system to a new version or something like that? -
The expanded freeplay mod is not a sub-mod for the LA mod, therefore it does not work for the LA mod without extensive alterations to the LA mod. I believe that mod is for the original base game only.
-
Replace the files with the original LA mod ones for the map and the script you changed, when you do changes to a mod always do them small and slowly so you can tell exactly where it fails at and not make the same mistake again, also back up early and often to prevent losing alot of changes.

I think amazon.com still has it, and the atari website has it as well.. Idk if either of them have issues with the modinstaller or not, so someone else will have to answer that one.
-
He is just replacing things because it is easier to replace the theoretical original vehicles with new ones that are similar in purpose as opposed to just creating whatever you did and trying to figure out what you may be missing (especially if you are not american native)... You could in theory have 200 civil cars in a mod but it would certainly cost the cpu load of a mod dearly if you had that many unique cars roaming about.

Continuing it? really? Next one I'm suspending

Really? You don't own the model now do you? Noper... The skins appear to be the same base skin underneath, but aside from the logos (which very well can be the same considering I'd bet both of you used pictures/logo images to create them) The stripes are totally different on both of them, there are many differences to lead me to believe they did not use your skin (in it's entirety at least) as a base for their skin. Unless you can prove to me that they used your skin in any way/shape/form I'm going to tell you this issue is dead and to get off it. Such is life that others may do similar skins as yours without actually being yours, unless you can prove something it is dangerous to accuse someone of an act that you can't back up. Prove it or get off it, also your language isnt going to fly either, just because you speak in native tongue doesnt mean the rest of us can't figure it out. As to BMA, you really shouldnt leave files in your mod that don't belong there that you don't have permission to have/use, even if they are just in the mod and not in use... Perhaps you just used it as a guide or for testing or something, but either way it really shouldnt be there. When it comes to the one you do use they do not look similar enough to me to say they are 1/1 offshoots.. If it were the case I'd suggest you work this out and give credit where it's due. In the end I would remove bastian's model/texture completely as it does state it is for but one mod, even if it isnt in use in yours.

You don't have to replace 1/1, the reality is that america has more larger vehicles than most nations would ever even come close to, so imean for the most part you will see alot more mid-size classed like the international cab than you would the little guys. Utilities tend to use larger trucks because they can pack a larger boom arm on them. Using the original euro list vs america, they would not have as many big vehicles as america does, for ex they use alot more city-vans for cargo/delivery where we use the international/m2 for alot of deliveries with step vans for city/residential delivery.
-
Um, I think hes going for civilian vehicles, so that kinda rules out pierce trucks for his current project list... He would need things like fuel oil tanker trucks and things like that instead of what is wanted for personal mods.. Maybe he'd want to do them when this project is said and done but right now I think it's more productive to try to give him ideas for things that are civilian-use, and preferably have a larger depth of use as opposed to what a specific city uses, or what a fire dept and such uses.

http://forum.emergency-planet.com/files/file/451-expanded-freeplay-14/ That one? The more detailed you are with your information, the less back and forth there is going to be and the faster you will get whatever help you need.

http://forum.emergency-planet.com/files/category/36-emergency-4/ The above link contains all the site's downloads that are compatible with your game, you have 911: First Responders, it is sold as emergency 4 as well, so any modification designed to work for them will work for you. Everything in the downloads center should be fairly straightforward for installation instructions, if you download from outside of the site we cannot state whether or not their content would be easy enough to install. I do not have teamviewer, and unfortunately it's a two-way street, expecting for us to be "quick" whilst not clearly stating what you've got and what the issue is exactly that you require help with, makes it very hard to expedite the whole helping process. We have to guess what you're trying to do and how to get you to it as it stands. Now we finally definitively know that you have 4/FR, but we don't know what you're trying to install to even point you to the instructions on what to do.

Ehh it was a memorable moment for most people in america, not every day you see a low-speed pursuit, let alone one with a quasi celeb.

NVFD's garbage truck type is fairly common as garbage trucks go, they would tend to be the most common from my experience around this country and canada, on different chassis ofc. They tend to be ran for sanitation in the neighborhoods, the forked garbage truck is for commercial dumpster dumping.

News: Emergency 5 Editor Event (With pictures!)
MikeyPI replied to Stan's topic in News & Announcement
One would hope they would include a method/converter to put models into the new game, otherwise it will frustrate a great deal of modders, myself included. IF the things we've done already are lost to the times and we have to get a whole new app/process to create the content, it will come down to a time-vs-reward deal for alot of us. Most of us simply don't have the time or energy to learn a whole new program just to be able to continue this series. -
