Yep we get the joy of taking care of the deletions of posts for people, the reason users can't delete their own goodies is to prevent a hacked account meaning someone could delete your topics and such... In the instance of multiple posts, just report it 1x stating accidental multi post, we'll git em all in the line.

A suburban has straight rear doors, a tahoe has it's rear doors melded into the tire well, the overall length of the suburban is longer vs the tahoe so the main differences is the fact of length and the rear door design... A suburban can become a tahoe easier than the other way around though so you can probrably kitbash it and get away with it.

Your sound card is the culprit, it doesnt have great control over the channels so perhaps the easiest solution would be to open the sound settings in windows and adjust the output of your soundcard so that it is either a lower bit channel and/or mono output. Perhaps disable the ability of applications to take control and override the settings of the soundcard.

he means you take the one from one model and adjust it's scale down to the appropriate size using zmod 2, the one in your video has already been built i'm fairly sure... Looks alot like the one I built on the LA mod towtruck.

Problems with the US Army mod
MikeyPI replied to CommanderMitchell's topic in Technical Related Support
Bump since it wasnt released from mod preview till now -
If people abide by natural selection, active developed mods that are actually in progress will push to the front of the pages, dead/inactive mods will fall to the wayside and further down, when they resurface and are clearly dead we just close them for what they are... Then they fall the wayside again, why change what ain't broke? As to the theory it is easy to move things... If you follow every topic and know who's done what perhaps it's easy to know who's active mods are released and whos aint... Most of us don't do that so Idk who all's things are released and whos are not.. IF everyone was kind enough to put all pertinent info in the first post of a topic including download links then it would be pretty easy but even still we'd have to verify the download links work and all that sort of thing, that is a bit above and beyond our job title since simply put alotta things are hosted off-site it isnt as easy to prune topics for released/not.. Now I could very easy go by date of active posts or something of that sort but why bother? In there are some released but inactive mods that someone made some time ago but no longer bother to update, thus their topics fall down in the ranks, not much I can do about that one but if I pruned the topics they'd end up in WIP even though they werent... To me worrying about clean-up is better served when someone is really really bored and wants to vet through the mess, if people went over to the courtesy of using the first post for the basic info of the mod/download links it would make it alot easier to refer people there IF they are indeed released. As time goes on natural selection will bump the not so useful topics out of line and imo that is a suitable trend for now... I don't see a value in overdoing it, this concept is more to help in the future, not change the past.

*sighs this is why we staff hate the MP clans, I have no idea what you all are on about and am too lazy to go around trying to figure it out.. Keep your things in your respective topics, don't bother with other clan's topics and everyone can co-exist.. Keep up the childishness and we can always remove the courtesy of permitting clans to muck about here.

Houston Mod(ON HOLD)
MikeyPI replied to willowfork fire capt's topic in Mod Development and Concepts
Most people can't create models out of the gate, but currently there are plenty of models available to use for reskins into a mod.. Fact is most mods are technically la sub-mods/reskin projects, but if you change the look/feel of a mod it can work as a "new" mod even though it's based off an existing one.. Why re-invent the wheel if someone else already perfected it? My suggestion is to use what's available and see if you can't get permissions if you need something someone else did... It's alot easier than attempting to find someone to make everything you require. -
Were to buy emergency4/911 first responders Canada

Atari is united states only unfortunately, someone from canada may be able to tell you more specifically but you could try contacting atari.com since they are the distributor for the game in the united states, they may be able to accept payment even though you are out of canada assuming you have a major credit card. -
In short, yes EM4 would permit the dual ladders to deploy a flag, or even one flag hanging off of a single ladder truck (the single is much easier to do). The key factor for the dual ladder trucks is having the two vehicles take up position in relation to one another so they are facing one another with just enough space between them so that when they deploy the ladders the appropriate spacing is available between them. Once they are deployed both ladders would be removed temporarily and replaced with a single prototype which includes both ladders as a body without a ladder on it, and a child on one of them which has both ladder booms raised and deployed with a flag hung between them. To remove them the command would swap back to the normal prototype and function just as normal in removing the real ladders. To do a singular ladder all that it must do is have a ladder deploy to the raised position, then proto swap to a ladder with the booms extended to to the default position when raised with a flag attached to the end of the ladder arm.. To undeploy it would just require a proto swap back to the normal ladder that doesnt have the flag on the end.

Basically the mod will require being more than here's 2-3 units that have been reskinned but we plan to do 200 more... When a mod looks like it is showing promise for an actual release it will get moved, like it is fairly close to playable within the basic original game. The goal is to prevent the mods section ending up with so many mods that will never see a release, hopefully permitting users to not get their hopes up for so many mods that just stall out.. Obviously some mods will still stall out due to outside circumstances but if we can avoid having for example the 2-3 police car reskins ending up as a mod too early when the authors know they don't have the required fire apparatus to make a functional mod (nor the skills to make them happen) it will hopefully make for less looking forward to things without a likelihood of a release.

https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/330667 I believe this will help with your particular issue I am nearly certain it is related to your device's firewall.
-
if the link is correct then I believe it is your firewall(s),specifically most likely from your router causing the problem. I have checked your account, as well as some other things and it works fine for downloading files.
-
Only way I see that happening would be a script that when the two units are selected puts them into position then does a proto swap when they are deployed putting a flag between the two units that would end up being one model when deployed. Why you would need this Idk, especially considering most mods don't have the space to put two 95ft+ ladders lengthwise along with the ladders deployed in the air and the space for a large flag between em, you'd be talking around 225 feet of length for the thing.
-
I just checked and downloading is working fine for me, perhaps if you were more specific about your issue I could tell you if it was just on your end or not. Telling me I can't download anything is not really helpful in diagnosing what your problem is. Include what files you are trying to download, what browser and version of said browser are you using... Topic moved to site support since that is where it belonged anyway.

Houston Mod(ON HOLD)
MikeyPI replied to willowfork fire capt's topic in Mod Development and Concepts
Cleaned/moved the topic to the appropriate location.. -
I have added a new forum category for modifications that are Works in progress/conceptual and have not made progress, as of this date any modification that is starting up will post there, the mods topic is now locked for creating new topics there and will require moderation approval to transfer a modification to that location. Anyone currently within the mods section will remain unaffected, however future mods will have to be created in the new forum category and subsequently moved when their progress reaches an appropriate level. Hopefully this will make things easier as far as organization goes, keeping current mods and developing mods from being cluttered by theoretical mods and mods that are not progressing.

Yeah but that's kind of my point, the majority of the games out there in order to be forward compatible really have only required VB versions and DX versions to go forward on new operating systems. I skipped win7 so idk how much better/worse it is on that one, but i went through vista and 8, in both cases most older software ran into problems because the OS did not ship with the versions the programs required. Once I put in certain versions of DX and VB on both they became able to run much more older software, for a good deal of games out there it is just that simple to include the required vb/dx versions instead of assuming as the original versions did that a user will have some of the updates required. For whatever reason MS with both VB and DX in later versions omit a great deal of required content for programs, that are not even really that old. I find that the reason most people struggle with installing things is because the installers do not push for them to run and verify their required frameworks are up to date, in alot of cases they just see DX11 and go oh ok that should do it, sadly it doesnt and you have to manually do it yourself after the fact. I am aware I am in the very small minority in running windows 8, but in the end if anything were to be more difficult to run backwards compatible, it really should've been this one, not 7 which is basically the polished version of vista, but in my experience using vista it was more prone to hitting a wall on older applications than win8 is.. The exception is MS-Dos based apps do not like windows 8 one bit. What I'm getting to is what was required to "fix" the compatibility issues for most of the software I have installed on my computer was the DX versions/Visual basic versions, once they were installed (ironically the VB I had to do for Z2) every other game since has given me no issues once those changes were made. When I had vista it was usually as simple as the same issues that caused problems for that as well. I just have experience using computers, I do not a formal education for computer development or anything of the like, so if I can figure out how to make these things work with minimal effort so too could developers.

I think you'd have to get it online via a digital download copy unfortunately. -
Another rather custom fitted vehicle unfortunately, I've done 2 thus far and sadly I have not found many cities that use either type of bus in any numbers except the intended city.. Each city has different suppliers and while some of them share the same manufactuer, most of them are fitted for specific contracts in the end so finding an one-size fits all Metro City Bus is kinda a difficult bill to fill.

MY computer has windows 8 (yeah I know I know) in order to give it backwards compatibility all I had to do was install several of the Direct X versions in order to get the files that older DX have that the DX 11 or whatever they are up to doesnt have within it, and to install the Visual Basic distributables for several of the packages from I believe 2004 on to today both 64 and 32 to get all required for them.. Now I can run everything without issue EXCEPT any dos game, even trying to shell most of them they don't like to run anymore on this.. However, 32 bit and 64 bit games that aint dos games I can get to run without issues.. One game that is old required a special app because my vid card couldnt render it, the rest have taken very little effort to run.. In truth 8 is easier on compatibility from my experience than the vista/7 were.

Chances are UAC is preventing the thing from saving, run the program as an administrator and it should permit it to save in program files. Also verify that the properties of the file you are editing are not read-only.
-
IMO its a classic mistake of the gaming companies to not alter the framework to work within newer computer systems and re-release the games with such compatibility. For the MS-Dos based games yeah that's a great deal of work, but on others it's as simple as making it 64 bit compatible for newer systems, granted you can't charge the original retail price of the older game, but i find most people would pay 10 bucks for a re-release where the game was optimized for newer machines.
